This morning, we will look at Samuel, who was the last judge of Israel. \u4eca\u671d\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6700\u5f8c\u306e\u58eb\u5e2b\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u898b\u3066\u3044\u304d\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n

As we saw last week, Samuel was born to Elkanah and Hannah, after his mother Hannah had prayed to have a child for many years.\u3000\u5148\u9031\u3001\u898b\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u30a8\u30eb\u30ab\u30ca\u3068\u30cf\u30f3\u30ca\u306e\u9593\u306b\u751f\u307e\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

God answered Hannah\u2019s prayer, and as Hannah vowed, she dedicated Samuel to serve God.\u3000\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30cf\u30f3\u30ca\u306e\u7948\u308a\u306b\u5fdc\u3048\u3001\u30cf\u30f3\u30ca\u306f\u8a93\u3044\u306e\u901a\u308a\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u6367\u3052\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

So, after Samuel was weaned, he was brought to Eli the priest in the house of the Lord in Shiloh to serve there.\u3000 \u305d\u3053\u3067\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u4e73\u96e2\u308c\u3057\u305f\u5f8c\u3001\u30b7\u30ed\u306e\u4e3b\u306e\u5bb6\u306b\u3044\u308b\u796d\u53f8\u30a8\u30ea\u306e\u3082\u3068\u306b\u9023\u308c\u3066\u884c\u304b\u308c\u3001\u305d\u3053\u3067\u4ed5\u3048\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

By lineage Elkanah was a Levite, a descendant of Kohath but not of the Aaronic line (1 Chronicles 6:26, 33).\u3000 \u30a8\u30eb\u30ab\u30ca\u306f\u30ec\u30d3\u4eba\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u30b3\u30cf\u30c6\u306e\u5b50\u5b6b\u3067\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3001\u30a2\u30ed\u30f3\u7cfb\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\uff08\u6b74\u4ee3\u5fd7\u4e0a\uff16\u7ae0\uff12\uff16\u7bc0\u3001\uff13\uff13\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

So, it would not have been unusual for Samuel, a Levite, to serve in the house of the Lord.\u3000 \u3067\u3059\u304b\u3089\u30ec\u30d3\u4eba\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u304c\u4e3b\u306e\u5bb6\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u73cd\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

This morning, we will look at Samuel, who ministered as a judge, priest, and prophet.\u3000 \u4eca\u671d\u306f\u58eb\u5e2b\u3001\u796d\u53f8\u3001\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u5949\u4ed5\u3057\u305f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u898b\u3066\u3044\u304d\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n

Samuel\u2019s name means \u201cheard of God\u201d or \u201casked of God\u201d which can be seen in Hannah\u2019s statement concerning the naming of Samuel.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u540d\u306f\u300c\u795e\u306b\u805e\u3044\u305f\u300d\u3001\u300c\u795e\u306b\u5c0b\u306d\u305f\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u610f\u5473\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u305d\u308c\u306f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u547d\u540d\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u30cf\u30f3\u30ca\u306e\u767a\u8a00\u306b\u898b\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 1:20<\/strong><\/p>\n

It came about\u00a0in due time, after Hannah had conceived, that she gave birth to a son; and she named him Samuel,\u00a0saying, \u201cBecause I have asked him of the\u00a0Lord.\u201d \u5f7c\u5973\u306f\u307f\u3054\u3082\u308a\u3001\u305d\u306e\u6642\u304c\u5de1\u3063\u3066\u304d\u3066\u3001\u7537\u306e\u5b50\u3092\u7523\u307f\u3001\u300c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u304c\u3053\u306e\u5b50\u3092\u4e3b\u306b\u6c42\u3081\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3060\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3063\u3066\u3001\u305d\u306e\u540d\u3092\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u3068\u540d\u3065\u3051\u305f\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no doubt that God had heard Hannah\u2019s prayer and gave to her Samuel,\u3000 \u795e\u69d8\u304c\u30cf\u30f3\u30ca\u306e\u7948\u308a\u3092\u805e\u304b\u308c\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u30cf\u30f3\u30ca\u306b\u304a\u4e0e\u3048\u306b\u306a\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u9593\u9055\u3044\u306a\u304f\u3001<\/p>\n

so that in turn he could be given back to God to be used for His glory. \u3067\u3059\u304b\u3089\u5f7c\u306f\u795e\u306e\u6804\u5149\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u7528\u3044\u3089\u308c\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u795e\u306b\u8fd4\u3055\u308c\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Samuel came from a godly home.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u795e\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u308b\u5bb6\u306e\u751f\u307e\u308c\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

His parents were God-fearing Israelites who annually went to Shiloh to worship at the tabernacle.\u3000 \u5f7c\u306e\u4e21\u89aa\u306f\u795e\u3092\u656c\u3046\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u4eba\u3067\u3001\u6bce\u5e74\u30b7\u30ed\u306b\u884c\u304d\u5e55\u5c4b\u3067\u793c\u62dd\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Sadly though, as Pastor Okura pointed out last Sunday, the tabernacle environment was not godly.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u60b2\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3001\u5148\u9031\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u306b\u5927\u5009\u7267\u5e2b\u304c\u6307\u6458\u3057\u305f\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u5e55\u5c4b\u306e\u74b0\u5883\u306f\u795e\u7684\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Eli, though being the high priest in Israel, had failed to teach his sons the fear of God according to what is written in the Book of Deuteronomy.\u3000 \u30a8\u30ea\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u5927\u796d\u53f8\u3067\u3042\u308a\u306a\u304c\u3089\u3001\u7533\u547d\u8a18\u306b\u66f8\u304b\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u606f\u5b50\u305f\u3061\u306b\u795e\u3092\u754f\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u6559\u3048\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

So, his sons Hophni and Phinehas did not show respect for their father and did not revere God in their responsibilities as priests.\u3000 \u305d\u306e\u305f\u3081\u3001\u606f\u5b50\u306e\u30db\u30d5\u30cb\u3068\u30d4\u30cd\u30cf\u30b9\u306f\u7236\u306b\u656c\u610f\u3092\u793a\u3055\u305a\u3001\u796d\u53f8\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u8cac\u4efb\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u795e\u69d8\u3092\u656c\u3044\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Thus, their wicked acts eventually brought God\u2019s judgment upon Eli\u2019s family.\u3000\u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u90aa\u60aa\u306a\u884c\u70ba\u306f\u3001\u6700\u7d42\u7684\u306b\u30a8\u30ea\u306e\u5bb6\u65cf\u306b\u795e\u306e\u88c1\u304d\u3092\u3082\u305f\u3089\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

It was in this environment at the tabernacle in Shiloh, the child Samuel grew to young manhood.\u3000\u3053\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u30b7\u30ed\u306e\u5e55\u5c4b\u306e\u74b0\u5883\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u3001\u5e7c\u3044\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u9752\u5e74\u306b\u6210\u9577\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

It was in the midst of such an environment that God\u2019s calling came to Samuel.\u3000\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u74b0\u5883\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u795e\u306e\u53ec\u3057\u304c\u4e0b\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

How that calling came to Samuel is recorded for us in 1 Samuel 3.\u3000 \u305d\u306e\u53ec\u547d\u304c\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u304b\u306f\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff13\u7ae0\u306b\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 3:1-9<\/strong><\/p>\n

1<\/sup>Now\u00a0the boy Samuel was ministering to the\u00a0Lord\u00a0before Eli. And\u00a0word from the Lord was rare in those days,\u00a0visions were infrequent. 2<\/sup>It happened at that time as Eli was lying down in his<\/strong> place (now\u00a0his eyesight had begun to grow dim\u00a0and\u00a0he could not see\u00a0well),\u00a03<\/sup>and\u00a0the lamp of God had not yet gone out, and Samuel was lying down in the temple of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0where the ark of God\u00a0was,\u00a04<\/sup>that the\u00a0Lord\u00a0called Samuel; and he said, \u201cHere I am.\u201d 5<\/sup>Then he ran to Eli and said, \u201cHere I am, for you called me.\u201d But he said, \u201cI did not call, lie down again.\u201d So he went and lay down.\u00a06<\/sup>The\u00a0Lord\u00a0called yet again, \u201cSamuel!\u201d So Samuel arose and went to Eli and said, \u201cHere I am, for you called me.\u201d But he\u00a0answered, \u201cI did not call, my son, lie down again.\u201d 7<\/sup>Now Samuel did not yet know the\u00a0Lord, nor had the word of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0yet been revealed to him.\u00a08<\/sup>So the Lord called Samuel again for the third time. He must have gone about his morning duties with diligence that following day.\u3000 \u305d\u306e\u7fcc\u65e5\u3001\u5f7c\u306f\u671d\u306e\u52d9\u3081\u3092\u71b1\u5fc3\u306b\u884c\u3063\u305f\u306b\u9055\u3044\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n

God changed the spiritual climate of Israel through Samuel who He had called to be a prophet.\u3000 \u795e\u69d8\u306f\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u305f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u970a\u7684\u98a8\u571f\u3092\u5909\u3048\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

And God revealed Himself through the words that He spoke through Samuel.\u3000 \u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u305d\u3057\u3066\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u8a9e\u3089\u308c\u305f\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3054\u81ea\u8eab\u3092\u73fe\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Sadly though, the Israelites did not truly trust in and obey God.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u60b2\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6c11\u306f\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u5fc3\u304b\u3089\u4fe1\u983c\u3057\u3001\u5f93\u3046\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

When they went out to battle their enemies the Philistines, they mistakenly put their trust in the ark of the covenant rather than in God Himself.\u3000 \u6575\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30da\u30ea\u30b7\u30c6\u4eba\u3068\u306e\u6226\u3044\u306b\u51fa\u304b\u3051\u305f\u6642\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u306f\u795e\u69d8\u3054\u81ea\u8eab\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001\u5951\u7d04\u306e\u7bb1\u306b\u8aa4\u3063\u3066\u4fe1\u983c\u3092\u7f6e\u3044\u3066\u3057\u307e\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

We see who was involved with this misuse of the ark of the covenant as we read 1 Samuel 4:1-4.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff14\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\u304b\u3089\uff14\u7bc0\u3092\u8aad\u3080\u3068\u3001\u3053\u306e\u5951\u7d04\u306e\u7bb1\u306e\u8aa4\u7528\u306b\u8ab0\u304c\u95a2\u308f\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u306e\u304b\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 4:1-4<\/strong><\/p>\n

1<\/sup>Thus the word of Samuel came to all Israel. Now Israel went out to meet the Philistines in battle and camped beside\u00a0Ebenezer while the Philistines camped in\u00a0Aphek.\u00a02\u00a0<\/sup>The Philistines drew up in battle array to meet Israel. Yes, we see that Eli\u2019s two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were with the ark of the covenant.\u3000 \u305d\u3046\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u306e\u4e8c\u4eba\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u3001\u30db\u30d5\u30cb\u3068\u30d4\u30cd\u30cf\u30b9\u304c\u5951\u7d04\u306e\u7bb1\u3068\u5171\u306b\u3044\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

What happens next is that the presence of the ark of the covenant in the camp of Israel \u6b21\u306b\u8d77\u3053\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u5951\u7d04\u306e\u7bb1\u304c\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u9663\u55b6\u306b\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3001<\/p>\n

causes fear in the Philistines, because they too mistook the ark of the covenant to be God (1 Samuel 4:7).\u3000\u30da\u30ea\u30b7\u30c6\u4eba\u306b\u6050\u308c\u3092\u62b1\u304b\u305b\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u3082\u5951\u7d04\u306e\u7bb1\u3092\u795e\u3060\u3068\u52d8\u9055\u3044\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\uff08\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff14\u7ae0\uff17\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

But the Philistines managed to muster courage to fight and Israel was defeated.<\/p>\n

\u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u30da\u30ea\u30b7\u30c6\u4eba\u306f\u52c7\u6c17\u3092\u632f\u308a\u7d5e\u3063\u3066\u6226\u3044\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u6557\u5317\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

In the aftermath, the ark of the covenant was taken by the Philistines, and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, died (1 Samuel 4:11).\u3000 \u305d\u306e\u7d50\u679c\u3001\u5951\u7d04\u306e\u7bb1\u306f\u30da\u30ea\u30b7\u30c6\u4eba\u306b\u596a\u308f\u308c\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u306e\u4e8c\u4eba\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u30db\u30d5\u30cb\u3068\u30d4\u30cd\u30cf\u30b9\u306f\u6b7b\u306b\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff14\u7ae0\uff11\uff11\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

Then, when Eli heard the news that his two sons had died, and in particular that the ark of the covenant had been taken, \u305d\u3057\u3066\u3001\u4e8c\u4eba\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u304c\u6b7b\u306b\u3001\u7279\u306b\u5951\u7d04\u306e\u7bb1\u304c\u596a\u308f\u308c\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u77e5\u3089\u305b\u3092\u805e\u3044\u305f\u30a8\u30ea\u306f\u3001<\/p>\n

he fell off the seat backward, broke his neck and died (1 Samuel 4:18).\u3000\u5f8c\u308d\u5411\u304d\u306b\u5ea7\u304b\u3089\u843d\u3061\u3001\u9996\u3092\u6298\u3063\u3066\u6b7b\u306b\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a4:18\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

In that same verse, it mentions, \u201cThus he judged Israel forty years.\u201d\u3000 \u540c\u3058\u7bc0\u306b\u300c\u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u5f7c\u306f\uff14\uff10\u5e74\u9593\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u88c1\u3044\u305f\u300d\u3068\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Thus, God\u2019s promised judgment upon Eli and his two sons for their iniquities came to pass.\u3000 \u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u3068\u305d\u306e\u4e8c\u4eba\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u306e\u7f6a\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u795e\u306e\u7d04\u675f\u306e\u88c1\u304d\u304c\u5b9f\u73fe\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Because of time, I will not go into the details of what happened to the ark of the covenant in the hands of the Philistines.\u3000 \u6642\u9593\u306e\u95a2\u4fc2\u3067\u3001\u30da\u30ea\u30b7\u30c6\u4eba\u306e\u624b\u306b\u6e21\u3063\u305f\u5951\u7d04\u306e\u7bb1\u304c\u3069\u3046\u306a\u3063\u305f\u304b\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u306f\u8a73\u3057\u304f\u89e6\u308c\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n

It is quite humorous how God deals with the Philistines and their god Dagon.\u3000 \u795e\u69d8\u304c\u30da\u30ea\u30b7\u30c6\u4eba\u3068\u305d\u306e\u795e\u30c0\u30b4\u30f3\u3092\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u6271\u308f\u308c\u305f\u304b\u306f\u3001\u975e\u5e38\u306b\u30e6\u30fc\u30e2\u30e9\u30b9\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

After Eli\u2019s death, Samuel served as the last judge of Israel.\u3000 \u30a8\u30ea\u306e\u6b7b\u5f8c\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6700\u5f8c\u306e\u58eb\u5e2b\u3092\u52d9\u3081\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

We see Samuel\u2019s work as a judge recorded in 1 Samuel 7.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff17\u7ae0\u306b\u306f\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u58eb\u5e2b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u50cd\u304d\u304c\u8a18\u9332\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 7:1-6<\/strong><\/p>\n

God used these judges to restore Israel back to God.\u3000\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u795e\u306e\u3082\u3068\u306b\u56de\u5fa9\u3055\u305b\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3053\u308c\u3089\u306e\u58eb\u5e2b\u3092\u7528\u3044\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Often times, the judge worked to deliver the Israelites from a pagan enemy nation that was oppressing them.\u3000 \u591a\u304f\u306e\u5834\u5408\u3001\u58eb\u5e2b\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6c11\u3092\u5727\u8feb\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u7570\u6559\u306e\u6575\u56fd\u304b\u3089\u89e3\u653e\u3059\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u306f\u305f\u3089\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

However, more importantly, their work was to restore the Israelites back to a right relationship with God.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u305d\u308c\u4ee5\u4e0a\u306b\u91cd\u8981\u306a\u306e\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6c11\u3092\u795e\u3068\u306e\u6b63\u3057\u3044\u95a2\u4fc2\u306b\u56de\u5fa9\u3055\u305b\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Thus, along with the deliverance from oppression, was a spiritual revival that took place among the people of Israel \u00a0\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u5727\u653f\u304b\u3089\u306e\u89e3\u653e\u3068\u3068\u3082\u306b\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6c11\u306e\u9593\u306b\u8d77\u3053\u3063\u305f\u970a\u7684\u306a\u30ea\u30d0\u30a4\u30d0\u30eb\u306f\u3001<\/p>\n

that entailed repentance and a return back to keeping God\u2019s commandments.\u3000\u6094\u3044\u6539\u3081\u3068\u795e\u306e\u6212\u3081\u3092\u5b88\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3078\u306e\u56de\u5e30\u3092\u4f34\u3046\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Thus, we clearly see in Samuel\u2019s ministry as a judge of this aspect of making things right.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u58eb\u5e2b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u306f\u305f\u3089\u304d\u306b\u306f\u3001\u7269\u4e8b\u3092\u6b63\u3059\u3068\u3044\u3046\u5074\u9762\u304c\u306f\u3063\u304d\u308a\u3068\u898b\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 7:3<\/p>\n

Because the Israelites heeded these words of Samuel, God defeated the Philistines.\u3000\u3000 \u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6c11\u304c\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u3053\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u306b\u8033\u3092\u50be\u3051\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30da\u30ea\u30b7\u30c6\u4eba\u3092\u6253\u3061\u7834\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

So, we see that God changed the spiritual climate of Israel through Samuel who He had also called to be a judge.\u3000 \u3064\u307e\u308a\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u58eb\u5e2b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u305f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u970a\u7684\u98a8\u6f6e\u3092\u5909\u3048\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

We can see how God blessed Israel through Samuel\u2019s ministry as a judge in the following verses.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u58eb\u5e2b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u306f\u305f\u3089\u304d\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u795d\u798f\u3055\u308c\u305f\u304b\u306f\u3001\u6b21\u306e\u7b87\u6240\u3067\u898b\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 7:13-17<\/strong><\/p>\n

13<\/sup>So the Philistines were subdued and\u00a0they did not come anymore within the border of Israel. And the hand of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.\u00a014<\/sup>The cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even to Gath; and Israel delivered their territory from the hand of the Philistines. As I have mentioned twice already in this message, Samuel was the last judge of Israel.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u3067\u3059\u3067\u306b\u4e8c\u5ea6\u8ff0\u3079\u305f\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6700\u5f8c\u306e\u58eb\u5e2b\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

This was because toward the end of Samuel\u2019s life, the elders of Israel asked for a king to be appointed to rule over them.\u3000 \u305d\u308c\u306f\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u751f\u6daf\u306e\u7d42\u308f\u308a\u306b\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u9577\u8001\u9054\u304c\u81ea\u5206\u305f\u3061\u3092\u6cbb\u3081\u308b\u738b\u3092\u4efb\u547d\u3059\u308b\u3088\u3046\u6c42\u3081\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

We see this matter recorded for us in 1 Samuel 8.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u306f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff18\u7ae0\u306b\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 8:1-5<\/strong><\/p>\n

1<\/sup>And it came about when Samuel was old that\u00a0he appointed his sons judges over Israel.\u00a02<\/sup>Now the name of his firstborn was Joel, and the name of his second, Abijah;\u00a0they\u00a0were judging in\u00a0Beersheba.\u00a03<\/sup>His sons, however, did not walk in his ways, but turned aside after dishonest gain and\u00a0took bribes and perverted justice. 4<\/sup>Then all the elders of Israel gathered together and came to Samuel at Ramah;\u00a05<\/sup>and they said to him, \u201cBehold, you have grown old, and your sons do not walk in your ways. When the elders of Israel came to Samuel with their request for a king, they gave two reasons for their petition.\u3000 \u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u9577\u8001\u9054\u304c\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u738b\u3092\u6c42\u3081\u305f\u3068\u304d\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u306f\u4e8c\u3064\u306e\u7406\u7531\u3092\u8ff0\u3079\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Their first reason was that Samuel\u2019s two sons who he had delegated authority to were not walking rightly before God as Samuel did.\u3000 \u7b2c\u4e00\u306e\u7406\u7531\u306f\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u304c\u6a29\u5a01\u3092\u59d4\u306d\u3066\u3044\u305f\u4e8c\u4eba\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u9054\u304c\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u524d\u306b\u6b63\u3057\u304f\u6b69\u3093\u3067\u3044\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

It is clearly noted in these verses that Samuel\u2019s sons, \u201cturned aside after dishonest gain and took bribes and perverted justice.\u201d (1 Samuel 8:3)\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u9054\u306f\u300c\u4e0d\u6b63\u306a\u5229\u76ca\u306b\u5411\u304b\u3044\u3001\u8cc4\u8cc2\u3092\u53d6\u308a\u3001\u6b63\u7fa9\u3092\u66f2\u3052\u305f\u300d\u3068\u3001\u3053\u306e\u8056\u53e5\u306b\u306f\u3063\u304d\u308a\u3068\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059(\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff18\u7ae0\uff13\u7bc0)<\/p>\n

Thus, the disappointment that the elders felt regarding this were merited.\u3000\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u306b\u95a2\u3057\u3066\u9577\u8001\u305f\u3061\u304c\u611f\u3058\u305f\u5931\u671b\u306f\u5f53\u7136\u306e\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

The second reason that the elders of Israel gave for wanting a king was that they wanted to be like other nations by having a king.\u3000 \u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u9577\u8001\u9054\u304c\u738b\u3092\u671b\u3093\u3060\u7b2c\u4e8c\u306e\u7406\u7531\u306f\u3001\u738b\u3092\u6301\u3064\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u4ed6\u306e\u56fd\u3005\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u306a\u308a\u305f\u304b\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Samuel\u2019s feelings regarding this request and his coming before God in prayer regarding this matter are recorded for us in the following verses.\u3000\u3053\u306e\u8981\u8acb\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6c17\u6301\u3061\u3068\u3001\u3053\u306e\u4ef6\u306b\u95a2\u3057\u3066\u5f7c\u304c\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u524d\u306b\u51fa\u3066\u7948\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u6b21\u306e\u7bc0\u306b\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

1 Samuel 8:6-10<\/strong><\/p>\n

We see that Samuel was greatly disturbed by the request for a king.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u3001\u738b\u3092\u6c42\u3081\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u5927\u3044\u306b\u5fc3\u3092\u75db\u3081\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

As he prayed to God regarding the matter, Samuel must have been comforted by God\u2019s response and the fact that God was not pleased about the matter as well.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u3001\u3053\u306e\u554f\u984c\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u7948\u3063\u305f\u3068\u304d\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u7b54\u3048\u3068\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u559c\u3070\u308c\u3066\u3044\u306a\u3044\u3068\u3044\u3046\u4e8b\u5b9f\u306b\u6170\u3081\u3089\u308c\u305f\u306b\u9055\u3044\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n

He was assured that this was God\u2019s permissive will, at the same time, he was told to outline the responsibilities the Israelites would assume under a king.\u3000 \u5f7c\u306f\u3001\u305d\u308c\u306f\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u5bdb\u5bb9\u306a\u5fa1\u5fc3\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u78ba\u4fe1\u3057\u3001\u540c\u6642\u306b\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6c11\u304c\u738b\u306e\u4e0b\u3067\u8ca0\u3046\u3053\u3068\u306b\u306a\u308b\u8cac\u4efb\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u6982\u8aac\u3059\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u8a00\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Thus, reluctantly, Samuel consented to their plea for a king.\u3000 \u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u3057\u3076\u3057\u3076\u3001\u738b\u3092\u6c42\u3081\u308b\u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u5606\u9858\u306b\u540c\u610f\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Or more accurately, God consented to their plea for a king.\u3000 \u3088\u308a\u6b63\u78ba\u306b\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u738b\u3092\u6c42\u3081\u308b\u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u9858\u3044\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u5165\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

So, having explained the responsibilities the Israelites would assume under a king, Samuel proceeded to anoint the first two kings of Israel.\u3000 \u305d\u3053\u3067\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6c11\u304c\u738b\u306e\u4e0b\u3067\u8ca0\u3046\u8cac\u4efb\u3092\u8aac\u660e\u3057\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6700\u521d\u306e\u4e8c\u4eba\u306e\u738b\u306b\u6cb9\u3092\u6ce8\u304e\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

We will look at both of those kings, Saul and David, next month.\u3000 \u6765\u6708\u306f\u3001\u305d\u306e\u4e8c\u4eba\u306e\u738b\u3001\u30b5\u30a6\u30eb\u3068\u30c0\u30d3\u30c7\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u898b\u3066\u307f\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n

So, as a prophet and priest and judge of Israel, Samuel was divinely commissioned to anoint Saul as king (1 Samuel 10:1).\u3000 \u305d\u3053\u3067\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3001\u796d\u53f8\u3001\u58eb\u5e2b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30b5\u30a6\u30eb\u306b\u738b\u306e\u6cb9\u3092\u6ce8\u3050\u3088\u3046\u795e\u69d8\u304b\u3089\u547d\u3058\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff10\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

And then later on, Samuel was divinely commissioned to offer sacrifice in Bethlehem \u3000\u3000\u305d\u3057\u3066\u305d\u306e\u5f8c\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u30d9\u30c4\u30ec\u30d8\u30e0\u3067\u751f\u8d04\u3092\u6367\u3052\u3001<\/p>\n

and anoint David as king of Israel (1 Samuel 16:12-13). \u3000\u30c0\u30d3\u30c7\u306b\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u738b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u6cb9\u3092\u6ce8\u3050\u3088\u3046\u3001\u795e\u306b\u547d\u3058\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff16\u7ae0\uff11\uff12\u7bc0\u2212\uff11\uff13\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

In this way, God used Samuel to establish a king for Israel.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u7528\u3044\u3066\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u738b\u3092\u7acb\u3066\u3089\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Thus, Samuel became the last judge of Israel.\u3000 \u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u6700\u5f8c\u306e\u58eb\u5e2b\u3068\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

When Samuel died, all Israel mourned his death (1 Samuel 25:1).\u3000\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u304c\u6b7b\u306c\u3068\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u5168\u571f\u304c\u5f7c\u306e\u6b7b\u3092\u60bc\u307f\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u8a18\u4e0a\uff12\uff15\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n

As we look back upon Samuel\u2019s life, we are reminded that he was God\u2019s answer in response to Hannah\u2019s fervent prayer for a child.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u751f\u6daf\u3092\u632f\u308a\u8fd4\u308b\u6642\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u304c\u30cf\u30f3\u30ca\u306e\u300c\u5b50\u4f9b\u304c\u6b32\u3057\u3044\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u71b1\u5fc3\u306a\u7948\u308a\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u7b54\u3048\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3092\u601d\u3044\u8d77\u3053\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

And as Samuel humbly answered God\u2019s call, he mightily served as a prophet of Israel.\u3000 \u305d\u3057\u3066\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u8b19\u865a\u306b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u547c\u3073\u304b\u3051\u306b\u5fdc\u3048\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u529b\u5f37\u304f\u4ed5\u3048\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

As I think of Samuel\u2019s life, I am reminded that our life is an answer to someone\u2019s prayer.\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u751f\u6daf\u3092\u601d\u3046\u6642\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306f\u8ab0\u304b\u306e\u7948\u308a\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u7b54\u3048\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u601d\u3044\u8d77\u3053\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Our life has meaning because God has ordained it.\u3000 \u795e\u69d8\u304c\u5b9a\u3081\u3089\u308c\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3053\u305d\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306b\u306f\u610f\u5473\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Our life is meant to be lived in relationship to God and His will for us.\u3000\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u3068\u79c1\u9054\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u5fa1\u5fc3\u3068\u3001\u305d\u306e\u95a2\u4fc2\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u751f\u304d\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u610f\u56f3\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

We may not have been brought into this world in the same manner as Samuel, but still, we are precious in God\u2019s eyes.\u3000\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3053\u306e\u4e16\u306b\u751f\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u305f\u308f\u3051\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u304b\u3082\u3057\u308c\u307e\u305b\u3093\u304c\u3001\u305d\u308c\u3067\u3082\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u76ee\u306b\u306f\u5c0a\u3044\u5b58\u5728\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

We may not have the same kind of calling or giftings as Samuel, \u79c1\u9054\u306f\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u53ec\u547d\u3084\u8cdc\u7269\u3092\u6301\u3063\u3066\u3044\u306a\u3044\u304b\u3082\u3057\u308c\u307e\u305b\u3093\u304c\u3001<\/p>\n

but still God calls each of us to follow Him and gifts us to do certain things.\u3000\u305d\u308c\u3067\u3082\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u79c1\u9054\u4e00\u4eba\u4e00\u4eba\u3092\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u5f93\u3046\u3088\u3046\u306b\u53ec\u3057\u3001\u7279\u5b9a\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u3059\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u79c1\u9054\u306b\u8cdc\u7269\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

One other thing we can glean from Samuel\u2019s life.\u3000\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u751f\u6daf\u304b\u3089\u5f97\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3082\u3046\u4e00\u3064\u306e\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

No matter how great a calling we may have, we still need to attend to the spiritual nurturing of our own family.\u3000 \u79c1\u9054\u304c\u3069\u3093\u306a\u306b\u5049\u5927\u306a\u53ec\u3057\u3092\u6301\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3082\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u5bb6\u65cf\u306e\u970a\u7684\u990a\u80b2\u306b\u6c17\u3092\u914d\u308b\u5fc5\u8981\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Sadly, the one thing that Samuel experienced that his mentor Eli experienced was the destructive nature of their own sons.\u3000 \u60b2\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3001\u5f7c\u306e\u5e2b\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30a8\u30ea\u304c\u7d4c\u9a13\u3057\u3001\u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u304c\u7d4c\u9a13\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u9054\u306e\u7834\u58ca\u7684\u306a\u6027\u8cea\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

This impacted not just their own lives but the whole nation of Israel as well.\u3000 \u3053\u308c\u306f\u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u3060\u3051\u3067\u306a\u304f\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u5168\u4f53\u306b\u3082\u5f71\u97ff\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

For me as a pastor, it is a sobering reminder of my own need to continually attend to the spiritual care of my children as a father.\u3000 \u7267\u5e2b\u3067\u3042\u308b\u79c1\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u306f\u3001\u7236\u89aa\u3068\u3057\u3066\u5b50\u4f9b\u305f\u3061\u306e\u970a\u7684\u30b1\u30a2\u306b\u7d76\u3048\u305a\u6c17\u3092\u914d\u308b\u5fc5\u8981\u6027\u3092\u75db\u611f\u3055\u305b\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

At the same time, I hope that we can all learn to remember, especially as we serve in various manners in the church, \u540c\u6642\u306b\u3001\u7279\u306b\u6559\u4f1a\u3067\u3055\u307e\u3056\u307e\u306a\u5f62\u3067\u5949\u4ed5\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u79c1\u9054\u5168\u54e1\u304c\u3001<\/p>\n

that our first ministry is to our own family members.\u3000\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u6700\u521d\u306e\u52d9\u3081\u306f\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u5bb6\u65cf\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5fd8\u308c\u306a\u3044\u3088\u3046\u306b\u306a\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u9858\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

That is, our faith in Jesus Christ must first be lived out in our own homes.\u3000 \u3064\u307e\u308a\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3078\u306e\u4fe1\u4ef0\u306f\u3001\u307e\u305a\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u5bb6\u5ead\u3067\u5b9f\u8df5\u3055\u308c\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u3089\u306a\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

I am always humbled and challenged by reading the following verses in Scripture.\u3000 \u3000\u3000\u8056\u66f8\u306e\u6b21\u306e\u7b87\u6240\u3092\u8aad\u3080\u3068\u3001\u79c1\u306f\u3044\u3064\u3082\u8b19\u865a\u306b\u306a\u308a\u3001\u6311\u6226\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Philippians 2:5-11<\/p>\n

Samuel\u2019s call to minister as a prophet began by humbly responding to God\u2019s call, \u201cSpeak, for Your servant is listening.\u201d\u3000 \u30b5\u30e0\u30a8\u30eb\u304c\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u305f\u306e\u306f\u300c\u3042\u306a\u305f\u306e\u50d5\u306f\u805e\u304d\u307e\u3059\u3002\u304a\u8a9e\u308a\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u547c\u3073\u304b\u3051\u306b\u8b19\u865a\u306b\u5fdc\u3048\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304b\u3089\u59cb\u307e\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Jesus humbly fulfilled God\u2019s call by becoming a bond-servant and obeying God the Father even to the point of death on a cross in order to save us.\u3000\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306f\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u3092\u6551\u3046\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u795e\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u308b\u8005\u3068\u306a\u308a\u3001\u5341\u5b57\u67b6\u4e0a\u3067\u6b7b\u306b\u81f3\u308b\u307e\u3067\u7236\u306a\u308b\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u5f93\u3046\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u547c\u3073\u304b\u3051\u306b\u8b19\u865a\u306b\u5fdc\u3048\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

As we come together to partake of the Lord\u2019s Supper, let us express our humble gratitude for the fact that all of our sins and failures have been dealt with through Jesus\u2019 sacrificial death upon the cross.\u3000 \u5171\u306b\u4e3b\u306e\u6669\u9910\u306b\u3042\u305a\u304b\u308b\u306b\u3042\u305f\u308a\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306e\u5341\u5b57\u67b6\u4e0a\u306e\u72a0\u7272\u306e\u6b7b\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u7f6a\u3068\u5931\u6557\u304c\u3059\u3079\u3066\u53d6\u308a\u9664\u304b\u308c\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3078\u306e\u8b19\u865a\u306a\u611f\u8b1d\u3092\u8868\u3057\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n

At the same time, let us resolve to learn from Jesus\u2019 perfect example of humble submission and obedience to the Heavenly Father,\u3000 \u540c\u6642\u306b\u3001\u5929\u306e\u7236\u3078\u306e\u8b19\u905c\u306b\u670d\u5f93\u3057\u5f93\u3063\u305f\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306e\u5b8c\u5168\u306a\u6a21\u7bc4\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3076\u3053\u3068\u3092\u6c7a\u610f\u3057\u3001<\/p>\n

and rededicate ourselves to answer God\u2019s call to live with Him and for Him forever to His glory.\u3000 \u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6c38\u9060\u306e\u6804\u5149\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u5f7c\u3068\u5171\u306b\u3001\u5f7c\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u6c38\u9060\u306b\u751f\u304d\u308b\u3068\u3044\u3046\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u547c\u3073\u304b\u3051\u306b\u5fdc\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u81ea\u8eab\u3092\u518d\u732e\u8eab\u3055\u305b\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n
