The Bible describes the life of a king named David. David had a tumultuous life, but one day he was captured by a king named Abimelech, and he feigned madness to save his life.<\/p>\n

Have you ever acted as if you were crazy to save your life? It is a desperate situation. What do you do in such a situation? David\u2019s song is recorded in Psalm 34. There it is first written:<\/p>\n

A Psalm\u00a0of David when he\u00a0feigned madness before\u00a0Abimelech, who drove him away and he departed (NASB 1995).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Then he opens with a song that goes like this.<\/p>\n

Psalm 34:1-2<\/p>\n

1 <\/sup>I will extol the\u00a0Lord\u00a0at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.2 <\/sup>2\u00a0<\/sup>I will glory\u00a0in the\u00a0Lord; let the afflicted hear and rejoice.<\/strong><\/p>\n

He praised the Lord when he was driven away and was departing to save his life. And that praise to the Lord must have encouraged him and given him strength. Were his soldiers with him at that time? He sings to them.<\/p>\n

Psalm 34:3<\/p>\n

Glorify the\u00a0Lord\u00a0with me; let us exalt\u00a0His name together.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Every Sunday, people from all walks of life come here. Still, I have never met anyone who came here to hide because their life was in danger.<\/p>\n

But some of you may have come to this place because you have had a week of joy and your hearts are filled with gratitude to God. Some of you may have been challenged by so many things during the week that you are tired in mind and body, and somehow you came here today.<\/p>\n

There may be Sundays when you don\u2019t want to see the pastor\u2019s face. Maybe you don\u2019t even want to talk to people. However, because it is precisely a time like that, please come to the worship service to praise the Lord. We praise the Lord here every week. Praise is never lost in our worship. David also sings in Psalm 146.<\/p>\n

They have reminded us that there is a Holy Throne. And we have been assured that the One who sits on that throne will raise us up. They sang that from the place where we weep, a stream will come forth, and it will be filled with laughter.
