The last few Sundays, we have been in celebration mode.\u3000 \u904e\u53bb\u4f55\u56de\u304b\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u304a\u795d\u3044\u30e2\u30fc\u30c9\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002On Palm Sunday, we had Pastor Sho Ichikawa give the message, and after the worship service, we had our Easter Picnic and Egg Hunt.\u3000 \u30d1\u30fc\u30e0\u30b5\u30f3\u30c7\u30fc\u306b\u306f\u5e02\u5ddd\u7965\u7267\u5e2b\u306b\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u3092\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3060\u304d\u3001\u793c\u62dd\u5f8c\u306b\u306f\u30a4\u30fc\u30b9\u30bf\u30fc\u30d4\u30af\u30cb\u30c3\u30af\u3068\u30a8\u30c3\u30b0\u30cf\u30f3\u30c8\u3092\u884c\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002On Resurrection Sunday, we truly focused on the importance of Jesus\u2019 resurrection.\u3000 \u5fa9\u6d3b\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u306b\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306e\u5fa9\u6d3b\u306e\u91cd\u8981\u6027\u306b\u7126\u70b9\u3092\u5f53\u3066\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002Last Sunday, we celebrated our Conference\u2019s Founders Day, and had Bryce Yokomizo as our guest speaker.\u3000 \u5148\u9031\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u306b\u306f\u3001\u6559\u56e3\u5275\u7acb\u8a18\u5ff5\u3092\u795d\u3044\u3001\u30d6\u30e9\u30a4\u30b9\u30e8\u30b3\u30df\u30be\u6c0f\u3092\u30b2\u30b9\u30c8\u30b9\u30d4\u30fc\u30ab\u30fc\u3068\u3057\u3066\u304a\u8fce\u3048\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Today, we will get back to our message series on \u201cLearning from People, How to Live with God\u201d.\u3000 \u4eca\u65e5\u304b\u3089\u306f\u300c\u4eba\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3073\u3001\u795e\u3068\u5171\u306b\u751f\u304d\u308b\u4eba\u751f\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u30fb\u30b7\u30ea\u30fc\u30ba\u306b\u623b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002Today, we will look at the prophet Elijah.\u3000 \u305d\u3053\u3067\u3001\u4eca\u65e5\u306f\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3092\u898b\u3066\u307f\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n
Elijah is a very interesting and important person in the Bible.\u3000\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u8056\u66f8\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u975e\u5e38\u306b\u8208\u5473\u6df1\u304f\u3001\u91cd\u8981\u306a\u4eba\u7269\u3067\u3059\u3002Of course, as a prophet, he needed to completely trust and obey God in proclaiming God\u2019s message to the people.\u3000 \u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u3001\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3067\u3042\u308b\u5f7c\u306f\u3001\u795e\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u3092\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u5ba3\u3079\u4f1d\u3048\u308b\u306b\u3042\u305f\u308a\u3001\u5b8c\u5168\u306b\u795e\u69d8\u3092\u4fe1\u983c\u3057\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u5f93\u3046\u5fc5\u8981\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
This would not be very hard if he was speaking to people who were his friends and liked him.\u3000 \u5f7c\u306e\u53cb\u4eba\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u5f7c\u306b\u597d\u610f\u3092\u62b1\u3044\u3066\u3044\u308b\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u8a9e\u308a\u304b\u3051\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3042\u308c\u3070\u3001\u3053\u308c\u306f\u305d\u308c\u307b\u3069\u96e3\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n
However, it is not so easy to speak the word of God to people who consider you an enemy and who dislike you.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u3092\u6575\u8996\u3057\u3001\u5acc\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u795e\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u8a9e\u308b\u306e\u306f\u3001\u305d\u3046\u7c21\u5358\u306a\u3053\u3068\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002In fact, Elijah, as well as most of God\u2019s prophets in the Bible, \u5b9f\u969b\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3060\u3051\u3067\u306a\u304f\u3001\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u767b\u5834\u3059\u308b\u307b\u3068\u3093\u3069\u306e\u795e\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u305f\u3061\u306f\u3001had to speak God\u2019s words to people who had closed ears and hearts to what God had to say to them.\u3000\u795e\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u306b\u8033\u3068\u5fc3\u3092\u9589\u3056\u3057\u305f\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u8a9e\u3089\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
However, most of God\u2019s prophets tended to serve the kings of Judah (the southern kingdom, \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u795e\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u306e\u591a\u304f\u306f\u30e6\u30c0\uff08\u5357\u738b\u56fd\uff09\u306e\u738b\u9054\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u308b\u50be\u5411\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3001but Elijah was sent to serve\/speak to the kings of Israel (the northern kingdom).\u3000\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\uff08\u5317\u738b\u56fd\uff09\u306e\u738b\u9054\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u3001\u8a9e\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u9063\u308f\u3055\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002The kings of Israel tended to be less God-fearing than the kings of Judah. \u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u738b\u9054\u306f\u3001\u30e6\u30c0\u306e\u738b\u9054\u3088\u308a\u3082\u795e\u3092\u656c\u308f\u306a\u3044\u50be\u5411\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Thus, Elijah truly had to rest in God\u2019s comfort and peace in order to faithfully proclaim God\u2019s words to the hard-hearted kings of Israel. \u3057\u305f\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u5fc3\u7121\u3044\u738b\u305f\u3061\u306b\u795e\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u5fe0\u5b9f\u306b\u5ba3\u3079\u4f1d\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u795e\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u672c\u5f53\u306b\u4f11\u307e\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002So, God sent Elijah to proclaim His words of challenge to Israel during the reigns of Ahab and his son Ahaziah. \u305d\u3053\u3067\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u3001\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u3068\u305d\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u30a2\u30cf\u30b8\u30e4\u306e\u6cbb\u4e16\u306e\u9593\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u3078\u306e\u6311\u6226\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u5ba3\u3079\u4f1d\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3092\u9063\u308f\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002During Elijah\u2019s prophetic ministry, he had a lot of awe-inspiring moments. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u50cd\u304d\u306b\u306f\u3001\u754f\u656c\u306e\u5ff5\u3092\u62b1\u304b\u305b\u308b\u77ac\u9593\u304c\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002From the start of Elijah\u2019s ministry as a prophet, we see that Elijah had to deliver a not so pleasant message to Ahab. \u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u50cd\u304d\u306e\u521d\u3081\u304b\u3089\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u306b\u3042\u307e\u308a\u5b09\u3057\u304f\u306a\u3044\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u3092\u4f1d\u3048\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u3089\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
1 Kings 17:1\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff17\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n
Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was of\u00a0the settlers of Gilead, said to Ahab, \u201cAs the\u00a0Lord, the God of Israel lives, before whom I stand, surely\u00a0there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.\u201d \u30ae\u30ec\u30a2\u30c7\u306e\u30c6\u30b7\u30d9\u306b\u4f4f\u3080\u30c6\u30b7\u30d9\u3073\u3068\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u306b\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3001\u300c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u4ed5\u3048\u3066\u3044\u308b\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u795e\u3001\u4e3b\u306f\u751f\u304d\u3066\u304a\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u306e\u306a\u3044\u3046\u3061\u306f\u3001\u6570\u5e74\u96e8\u3082\u9732\u3082\u306a\u3044\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u300d\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\nHere in this verse, we are given some information regarding Elijah. \u3053\u306e\u7bc0\u3067\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u3044\u304f\u3064\u304b\u306e\u60c5\u5831\u304c\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002Actually, little is known of his family background. \u5b9f\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u5bb6\u5ead\u74b0\u5883\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u306f\u307b\u3068\u3093\u3069\u77e5\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002However, we know that he was a Tishbite, which indicated his association with a place named Tishbe, east of the Jordan River. \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u30c6\u30b7\u3079\u4eba\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u30e8\u30eb\u30c0\u30f3\u5ddd\u306e\u6771\u306b\u3042\u308b\u30c6\u30b7\u30d9\u3068\u3044\u3046\u5730\u540d\u3068\u95a2\u4fc2\u304c\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u5206\u304b\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002He was also from Gilead. \u5f7c\u306f\u307e\u305f\u30ae\u30ec\u30a2\u30c7\u306e\u51fa\u8eab\u3067\u3082\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
We know from another passage of Scripture, that Elijah \u201cwas a hairy man with a leather girdle bound about his loins\u201d (2 Kings 1:8) \u00a0<\/strong>\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u5225\u306e\u8056\u66f8\u7b87\u6240\u304b\u3089\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u300c\u6bdb\u3054\u308d\u3082\u3092\u7740\u3066\u3001\u8170\u306b\u76ae\u306e\u5e2f\u3092\u7de0\u3081\u3066\u300d\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0b\uff11\u7ae0\uff18\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/strong>Thus, in the New Testament, he is often associated with John the Baptist, \u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u65b0\u7d04\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u3001\u5f7c\u306f\u3057\u3070\u3057\u3070\u30d0\u30d7\u30c6\u30b9\u30de\u306e\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u3068\u7d50\u3073\u3064\u3051\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u304c\u3001not just because of their prophetic role at the key moment in history in which they served God, but also in their simple attire.\u305d\u308c\u306f\u5f7c\u3089\u304c\u795e\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u305f\u6b74\u53f2\u4e0a\u306e\u91cd\u8981\u306a\u77ac\u9593\u306b\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u7684\u5f79\u5272\u3092\u679c\u305f\u3057\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3068\u3044\u3046\u3060\u3051\u3067\u306a\u304f\u3001\u305d\u306e\u7c21\u7d20\u306a\u670d\u88c5\u3082\u540c\u69d8\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\nWe also see in 1 Kings 17:1, that Elijah made it very clear that he is God\u2019s\u3000representative, for he was standing before the God of Israel, as he speaks. \u307e\u305f\u3001\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff17\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\u306b\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u524d\u306b\u7acb\u3063\u3066\u8a9e\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304b\u3089\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u304c\u795e\u306e\u4ee3\u7406\u4eba\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u306f\u3063\u304d\u308a\u3068\u793a\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002This means that God is literally backing him up. \u3053\u308c\u306f\u3001\u6587\u5b57\u901a\u308a\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u5f7c\u3092\u30d0\u30c3\u30af\u30a2\u30c3\u30d7\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u610f\u5473\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002Elijah proceeded by saying, \u201csurely there shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word.\u201d \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u7d9a\u3051\u3066\u3053\u3046\u8a00\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u300c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u306e\u306a\u3044\u3046\u3061\u306f\u3001\u6570\u5e74\u96e8\u3082\u9732\u3082\u306a\u3044\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u300d\u3002<\/p>\n
Talk about authority!\u00a0 He is saying that as God\u2019s representative, he has been given the words and authority to proclaim a drought upon the land of Israel.\u6a29\u5a01\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8a71\u3059\uff01\u795e\u306e\u4ee3\u7406\u4eba\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u5730\u306b\u5e72\u3070\u3064\u3092\u5ba3\u8a00\u3059\u308b\u8a00\u8449\u3068\u6a29\u5a01\u304c\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3068\u5f7c\u306f\u8a00\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002Of course, since drought was associated with God\u2019s judgment, Elijah was proclaiming God\u2019s judgment upon Ahab and Israel. \u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u3001\u5e72\u3070\u3064\u306f\u795e\u306e\u88c1\u304d\u3068\u95a2\u9023\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u3068\u30a4\u30b9\u30e9\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u795e\u306e\u88c1\u304d\u3092\u5ba3\u8a00\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002This drought lasted for three and a half years. \u3053\u306e\u5e72\u3070\u3064\u306f\uff13\u5e74\u534a\u7d9a\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Another awe-inspiring moment in Elijah\u2019s life was when he had a showdown with the prophets of Baal. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306b\u304a\u3051\u308b\u3082\u3046\u4e00\u3064\u306e\u754f\u656c\u306e\u5ff5\u3092\u62b1\u304b\u305b\u308b\u77ac\u9593\u306f\u3001\u30d0\u30a2\u30eb\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u305f\u3061\u3068\u306e\u5bfe\u6c7a\u306e\u6642\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002More than three years after the time that Elijah had first spoken with king Ahab, God said the following to Elijah: \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u738b\u3068\u521d\u3081\u3066\u8a71\u3092\u3057\u3066\u304b\u3089\uff13\u5e74\u4ee5\u4e0a\u7d4c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u6b21\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u8a00\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff1a<\/p>\n

\u201cGo, show yourself to Ahab, and\u00a0I will send rain on the face of the earth.\u201d\u300c\u884c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u306e\u8eab\u3092\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u306b\u793a\u3057\u306a\u3055\u3044\u3002\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u96e8\u3092\u5730\u306b\u964d\u3089\u305b\u308b\u300d\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\nSo, Elijah went to meet with Ahab. \u305d\u3053\u3067\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u306b\u4f1a\u3044\u306b\u884c\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002This leads to a spiritual battle on Mount Carmel that was to prove that God is the one and only true God. \u3053\u308c\u304c\u30ab\u30eb\u30e1\u30eb\u5c71\u3067\u306e\u970a\u7684\u306a\u6226\u3044\u306b\u3064\u306a\u304c\u308a\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u552f\u4e00\u306b\u3057\u3066\u771f\u306e\u795e\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u8a3c\u660e\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u306a\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

17\u00a0<\/sup>When Ahab saw Elijah,\u00a0Ahab said to him, \u201cIs this you, you troubler of Israel?\u201d 18\u00a0<\/sup>He said, \u201cI have not troubled Israel, but you and your father\u2019s house\u00a0have, because\u00a0you have forsaken the commandments of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0and\u00a0you have followed the Baals.\u00a019\u00a0<\/sup>Now then send\u00a0and\u00a0gather to me all Israel at\u00a0Mount Carmel, together with 450 prophets of Baal and 400 prophets of\u00a0the Asherah, who eat at Jezebel\u2019s table.\u201d 20\u00a0<\/sup>So Ahab sent\u00a0a message\u00a0among all the sons of Israel and brought the prophets together at Mount Carmel.\u00a021\u00a0<\/sup>Elijah came near to all the people and said, \u201cHow long\u00a0will\u00a0you\u00a0hesitate between two opinions?\u00a0If the\u00a0Lord\u00a0is God, follow Him; One of them was Enoch, which we find mentioned in Genesis 5:21-24. \u305d\u306e\u4e00\u4eba\u306f\u30a8\u30ce\u30af\u3067\u3001\u5275\u4e16\u8a18\uff15\u7ae0\uff12\uff11\u7bc0\u304b\u3089\uff12\uff14\u7bc0\u306b\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002The second person that God took away into heaven without facing death was Elijah. \u4e8c\u4eba\u76ee\u306e\u4eba\u306f\u6b7b\u306b\u5411\u304d\u5408\u3046\u4e8b\u306a\u304f\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u5929\u306b\u643a\u3048\u6319\u3052\u3089\u308c\u305f\u30a8\u30ea\u30a2\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002Here is what the Bible records regarding the conversation of Elijah with his friend and disciple Elisha, and how Elijah was taken up into heaven. \u00a0\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u305d\u306e\u53cb\u4eba\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u5f1f\u5b50\u3067\u3082\u3042\u308b\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u3068\u306e\u4f1a\u8a71\u3001\u305d\u3057\u3066\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3057\u3066\u5929\u306b\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u305f\u304b\u3092\u8a18\u9332\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Furthermore, Elijah\u2019s example of ministry is found in the ministry of John the Baptist in the New Testament. \u3055\u3089\u306b\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u30df\u30cb\u30b9\u30c8\u30ea\u30fc\u306e\u6a21\u7bc4\u306f\u3001\u65b0\u7d04\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u304a\u3051\u308b\u30d0\u30d7\u30c6\u30b9\u30de\u306e\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u306e\u30df\u30cb\u30b9\u30c8\u30ea\u30fc\u306b\u3082\u898b\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002Elijah\u2019s ministry in a way prepared the way for the other prophets of God to follow by calling people to repent and turn to God. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u5ba3\u6559\u306f\u3001\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u6094\u3044\u6539\u3081\u3066\u795e\u306b\u7acb\u3061\u8fd4\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u547c\u3073\u304b\u3051\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u4ed6\u306e\u795e\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u305f\u3061\u306b\u7d9a\u304f\u9053\u3092\u7528\u610f\u3057\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002Here is what the angel Gabriel declared concerning the work of John the Baptist before he was born: \u30d0\u30d7\u30c6\u30b9\u30de\u306e\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u304c\u751f\u307e\u308c\u308b\u524d\u306b\u3001\u5929\u4f7f\u30ac\u30d6\u30ea\u30a8\u30eb\u304c\u30d0\u30d7\u30c6\u30b9\u30de\u306e\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u306e\u50cd\u304d\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u5ba3\u8a00\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff1a<\/p>\n

I have chosen for today\u2019s message title, \u201cElijah: Resting in God\u2019s Comfort and Peace\u201d. \u79c1\u306f\u4eca\u65e5\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u306e\u30bf\u30a4\u30c8\u30eb\u3092\u300c\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\uff1a\u795e\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u4e2d\u306b\u5b89\u3089\u3046\u300d\u3068\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002So, I want to share with you some ways\/incidences in which Elijah rested in God\u2019s comfort and peace. \u305d\u3053\u3067\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u61a9\u3063\u305f\u3044\u304f\u3064\u304b\u306e\u65b9\u6cd5\uff0f\u51fa\u6765\u4e8b\u3092\u5206\u304b\u3061\u5408\u3044\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002I want to do this, because it is important for us to understand and appreciate the fact that we can and need to rest in God\u2019s comfort and peace. \u306a\u305c\u306a\u3089\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u304c\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u4f11\u3080\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u3001\u307e\u305f\u4f11\u3080\u5fc5\u8981\u304c\u3042\u308b\u3068\u3044\u3046\u4e8b\u5b9f\u3092\u7406\u89e3\u3057\u3001\u611f\u8b1d\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u91cd\u8981\u3060\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

And of course, this rest is to be in God\u2019s comfort and peace. \u305d\u3057\u3066\u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u3001\u3053\u306e\u4f11\u606f\u306f\u795e\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u3042\u308b\u3079\u304d\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002This was true for Elijah and it is true for all of us as well. \u3053\u308c\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3082\u305d\u3046\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3057\u3001\u5168\u3066\u306e\u79c1\u9054\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3082\u305d\u3046\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
As was noted earlier, Elijah\u2019s ministry began with him telling king Ahab that\u3000\u5148\u306b\u8ff0\u3079\u305f\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u30df\u30cb\u30b9\u30c8\u30ea\u30fc\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u738b\u306b\u201cthere shall be neither dew nor rain these years, except by my word\u201d (1 Kings 17:1).\u300c\u308f\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u306e\u306a\u3044\u3046\u3061\u306f\u3001\u6570\u5e74\u96e8\u3082\u9732\u3082\u306a\u3044\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u300d\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff17\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\uff09\u3068\u544a\u3052\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304b\u3089\u59cb\u307e\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002It is interesting to see what God told Elijah to do after having said these things to Ahab. \u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u306b\u3053\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u3053\u3068\u3092\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u5f8c\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u4f55\u3092\u3059\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u8a00\u308f\u308c\u305f\u304b\u306f\u8208\u5473\u6df1\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

However, Elijah was told to \u201cGo away\u201d, that is to retreat, and hide himself by the brook Cherith, which is east of the Jordan. \u305d\u3046\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30e8\u30eb\u30c0\u30f3\u306e\u6771\u306b\u3042\u308b\u30c6\u30ea\u30b1\u5ddd\u306e\u307b\u3068\u308a\u306b\u9000\u304d\u3001\u8eab\u3092\u96a0\u3059\u3088\u3046\u306b\u8a00\u308f\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002We don\u2019t have to know exact details of what this place looked like to know that it was basically out in the wilderness. \u3053\u306e\u5834\u6240\u304c\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u5834\u6240\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3092\u6b63\u78ba\u306b\u77e5\u308b\u5fc5\u8981\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u304c\u3001\u57fa\u672c\u7684\u306b\u8352\u91ce\u306e\u4e2d\u306b\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u5206\u304b\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Here, Elijah was provided water to drink from the brook and food provided by ravens. \u305d\u3053\u3067\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u5c0f\u5ddd\u304b\u3089\u6c34\u3092\u98f2\u307f\u3001\u30ab\u30e9\u30b9\u304b\u3089\u98df\u3079\u7269\u304c\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002The fact that Elijah followed God\u2019s instructions regarding these matters, shows how Elijah trusted and obeyed God. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u3053\u308c\u3089\u306e\u4e8b\u67c4\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6307\u793a\u306b\u5f93\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u3044\u304b\u306b\u795e\u69d8\u3092\u4fe1\u983c\u3057\u3001\u5f93\u9806\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3092\u793a\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002This is what resting in God\u2019s comfort and peace looks like. \u3053\u308c\u3053\u305d\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u5b89\u4f4f\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
However, even Elijah was not exempt from the results of the drought conditions that surrounded him. \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3067\u3055\u3048\u3001\u5f7c\u3092\u53d6\u308a\u56f2\u3093\u3060\u5e72\u3070\u3064\u306e\u7d50\u679c\u3092\u514d\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3067\u304d\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002Thus, after a while, the brook dried up, because there was no rain in the land (1 Kings 17:7). \u3057\u3070\u3089\u304f\u3057\u3066\u3001\u305d\u306e\u5730\u306b\u96e8\u304c\u964d\u3089\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3001\u5ddd\u306f\u5e72\u4e0a\u304c\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a17:7\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n
Thereafter, the word of the Lord came to Elijah again, and he was told to go to a place called Zarephath in the land of Sidon, and to stay there with a widow and her son (1 Kings 17:8-9). \u305d\u306e\u5f8c\u3001\u4e3b\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u304c\u518d\u3073\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u81e8\u307f\u3001\u30b7\u30c9\u30f3\u306e\u5730\u306b\u3042\u308b\u30b6\u30ec\u30d1\u30c6\u3068\u3044\u3046\u5834\u6240\u306b\u884c\u304d\u3001\u3084\u3082\u3081\u3068\u305d\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u306e\u3068\u3053\u308d\u306b\u6ede\u5728\u3059\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3068\u8a00\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff17\u7ae0\uff18\u7bc0\u2212\uff19\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\nThere, God provided for this poor widow and her son and Elijah by making sure that their bowl of flour and their jar of oil would not become empty \u305d\u3053\u3067\u795e\u306f\u3001\u3053\u306e\u8ca7\u3057\u3044\u3084\u3082\u3081\u3068\u305d\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u3001\u305d\u3057\u3066\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u5c0f\u9ea6\u7c89\u306e\u9262\u3068\u6cb9\u306e\u3064\u307c\u304c\u7a7a\u306b\u306a\u3089\u306a\u3044\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3057\u3001so they could make bread to eat until God sent rain once again (1 Kings 17:14-16).\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u518d\u3073\u96e8\u3092\u964d\u3089\u305b\u308b\u307e\u3067\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u304c\u98df\u3079\u308b\u30d1\u30f3\u3092\u4f5c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff17\u7ae0\uff11\uff14\u7bc0\u2212\uff11\uff16\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n
The drought continued on for more than three years. \u5e72\u3070\u3064\u306f\uff13\u5e74\u4ee5\u4e0a\u7d9a\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002We also see that Elijah rested in God\u2019s comfort and peace through prayer. \u79c1\u9054\u306f\u307e\u305f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u7948\u308a\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u4f11\u3093\u3060\u3053\u3068\u3082\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002We saw earlier of how Elijah did not go into the spiritual battle on Mount Carmel in his own strength, \u5148\u307b\u3069\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u30ab\u30eb\u30e1\u30eb\u5c71\u3067\u306e\u970a\u7684\u306a\u6226\u3044\u306b\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u529b\u3067\u81e8\u3080\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001but took the time to pray as he came before the altar to offer the evening sacrifice to God (1 Kings 18:36-37).\u5915\u3079\u306e\u3044\u3051\u306b\u3048\u3092\u795e\u306b\u3055\u3055\u3052\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u796d\u58c7\u306e\u524d\u306b\u6765\u3066\u7948\u308b\u6642\u9593\u3092\u53d6\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3092\u898b\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff18\u7ae0\uff13\uff16\u7bc0\u2212\uff13\uff17\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n
Soon after God brought down fire in answer to Elijah\u2019s prayer, Elijah told Ahab, \u201cGo up, eat and drink; for there is the sound of the roar of a\u00a0heavy\u00a0shower.\u201d (1 Kings 18:41) \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u7948\u308a\u306b\u5fdc\u3048\u3066\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u706b\u3092\u964d\u3089\u305b\u305f\u3059\u3050\u5f8c\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u306b\u8a00\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3001\u300c\u5927\u96e8\u306e\u97f3\u304c\u3059\u308b\u304b\u3089\u3001\u4e0a\u3063\u3066\u884c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u98df\u3044\u98f2\u307f\u3057\u306a\u3055\u3044\u300d\u3002\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff18\u7ae0\uff14\uff11\u7bc0\uff09<\/strong><\/p>\nAnd God brought rain to shower generously upon the land. \u305d\u3057\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u305d\u306e\u5730\u306b\u60dc\u3057\u307f\u306a\u304f\u96e8\u3092\u964d\u3089\u305b\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002The Bible states that Elijah prayed regarding this matter as well. \u8056\u66f8\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u3053\u306e\u4ef6\u306b\u95a2\u3057\u3066\u3082\u7948\u3063\u305f\u3068\u8ff0\u3079\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

In other words, the power of prayer is not in the one who is praying but in the God that who answers our prayers. \u3064\u307e\u308a\u3001\u7948\u308a\u306e\u529b\u306f\u7948\u308b\u4eba\u306b\u3042\u308b\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001\u7948\u308a\u306b\u7b54\u3048\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u308b\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u3042\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002I mentioned that Elijah stayed with a widow and her son in a place called Zarephath. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u30b6\u30ec\u30d1\u30c6\u3068\u3044\u3046\u5834\u6240\u3067\u3084\u3082\u3081\u3068\u305d\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u306e\u3068\u3053\u308d\u306b\u6ede\u5728\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u8ff0\u3079\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
While Elijah was there, the son of the widow became sick and died. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u305d\u3053\u306b\u3044\u305f\u6642\u3001\u3084\u3082\u3081\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u306f\u75c5\u6c17\u306b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u6b7b\u306b\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002It was at that time also that Elijah prayed to God, and God answered his prayer by reviving the son of the widow back to life (1 Kings 17:20-24). \u305d\u306e\u6642\u3082\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u795e\u306b\u7948\u308a\u3001\u795e\u306f\u305d\u306e\u7948\u308a\u306b\u7b54\u3048\u3066\u3084\u3082\u3081\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u3092\u751f\u304d\u8fd4\u3089\u305b\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff17\u7ae0\uff12\uff10\u7bc0\u2212\uff12\uff14\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n
So, we can see that Elijah rested in God\u2019s comfort and peace through praying. \u3064\u307e\u308a\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u7948\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u4f11\u3093\u3067\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002Elijah also rested in God\u2019s comfort and peace when he was too weak to continue on. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u307e\u305f\u3001\u5f31\u308a\u5207\u3063\u3066\u7d9a\u3051\u3089\u308c\u306a\u304f\u306a\u3063\u305f\u6642\u306b\u3082\u3001\u795e\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u4f11\u3093\u3060\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002Elijah went through a time of severe depression. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u306f\u3072\u3069\u304f\u843d\u3061\u8fbc\u3093\u3060\u6642\u671f\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
This came after Elijah\u2019s victory at Mount Carmel and rain was restored to the land. \u305d\u308c\u306f\u3001\u30ab\u30eb\u30e1\u30eb\u5c71\u3067\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u52dd\u5229\u3057\u3001\u5927\u5730\u306b\u96e8\u304c\u56de\u5fa9\u3057\u305f\u5f8c\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002Although all the people who saw what happened at Mount Carmel fell on their faces and said, \u201cThe Lord, He is God; the Lord, He is God.\u201d, \u30ab\u30eb\u30e1\u30eb\u5c71\u3067\u306e\u51fa\u6765\u4e8b\u3092\u898b\u305f\u4eba\u3005\u306f\u7686\u3001\u9854\u3092\u4f0f\u305b\u3066\u300c\u4e3b\u3053\u305d\u795e\u3001\u4e3b\u3053\u305d\u795e\u300d\u3068\u8a00\u3044\u3001and the prophets of Baal were executed, Ahab\u2019s wife Jezebel was still a threat to Elijah.\u30d0\u30a2\u30eb\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u305f\u3061\u306f\u51e6\u5211\u3055\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u304c\u3001\u30a2\u30cf\u30d6\u306e\u59bb\u30a4\u30bc\u30d9\u30eb\u306f\u4f9d\u7136\u3068\u3057\u3066\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u8105\u5a01\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

which was in the southern kingdom of Judah, about 80 miles south of where he was.\u30d9\u30a8\u30eb\u30b7\u30d0\u306f\u30e6\u30c0\u738b\u56fd\u306e\u5357\u90e8\u306b\u3042\u308a\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u3044\u305f\u5834\u6240\u304b\u3089\u5357\u306b\uff18\uff10\u30de\u30a4\u30eb\u307b\u3069\u96e2\u308c\u305f\u3068\u3053\u308d\u306b\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002And then once there, Elijah \u201cwent a day\u2019s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree\u201d. \u305d\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u300c\u4e00\u65e5\u306e\u65c5\u3092\u3057\u3066\u8352\u91ce\u306b\u5165\u308a\u3001\u308c\u3060\u307e\u306e\u6728\u306e\u4e0b\u306b\u8170\u3092\u304a\u308d\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u300d\u3002He wanted to be alone. \u5f7c\u306f\u4e00\u4eba\u306b\u306a\u308a\u305f\u304b\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Have you ever heard the term \u201ccrippling fear\u201d? \u7686\u3055\u3093\u306f\u300c\u4e0d\u81ea\u7531\u306a\u6050\u6016\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u805e\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308b\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\u3002Have you ever felt like you have reached rock bottom or were too afraid to go on with life that you wanted to die?\u3000 \u3069\u3093\u5e95\u306b\u843d\u3061\u305f\u3088\u3046\u306a\u611f\u899a\u306b\u9665\u3063\u305f\u308a\u3001\u4eba\u751f\u3092\u6b69\u3080\u306e\u304c\u6016\u304f\u3066\u6b7b\u306b\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u306a\u3044\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\u3002Elijah was truly in such a state here.\u3000 \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u307e\u3055\u306b\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u72b6\u614b\u306b\u3042\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

And all he could do was lay down and sleep.\u3000 \u5f7c\u306b\u3067\u304d\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u6a2a\u306b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u7720\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3060\u3051\u3060\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002He had no strength to get up and do anything.\u3000\u7acb\u3061\u4e0a\u304c\u3063\u3066\u4f55\u304b\u3092\u3059\u308b\u529b\u3082\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002But God through an angel met Elijah at where he was at, and He nurtured Elijah with food to eat.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u5fa1\u4f7f\u3044\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u4f1a\u3044\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u98df\u3079\u7269\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3066\u990a\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
That was enough for Elijah to be strengthened to travel forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God.\u3000 \u305d\u308c\u3067\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u529b\u3065\u3051\u3089\u308c\u3001\u56db\u5341\u65e5\u56db\u5341\u591c\u3001\u795e\u306e\u5c71\u30db\u30ec\u30d6\u307e\u3067\u65c5\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002It was a 200 miles journey from Beersheba to Mount Horeb, also known as Mount Sinai.\u3000 \u305d\u308c\u306f\u30d9\u30a8\u30eb\u30b7\u30d0\u304b\u3089\u30db\u30ec\u30d6\u5c71\uff08\u30b7\u30ca\u30a4\u5c71\u3068\u3082\u547c\u3070\u308c\u308b\uff09\u307e\u3067\u306e\uff12\uff10\uff10\u30de\u30a4\u30eb\u306e\u65c5\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002This was God\u2019s way of allowing Elijah some time to recover from his depression.\u3000 \u3053\u308c\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u843d\u3061\u8fbc\u307f\u304b\u3089\u7acb\u3061\u76f4\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306e\u795e\u306e\u65b9\u6cd5\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Thus, it shows that God did not demand an immediate recovery from Elijah.\u3000\u3064\u307e\u308a\u3001\u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u306f\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u3059\u3050\u306b\u56de\u5fa9\u3092\u6c42\u3081\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3092\u793a\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002Once on Mount Horeb, Elijah found shelter in a cave.\u3000 \u30db\u30ec\u30d6\u5c71\u306b\u7740\u304f\u3068\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u6d1e\u7a9f\u306b\u907f\u96e3\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002It was on Mount Horeb that God ministered further to Elijah.\u3000 \u30db\u30ec\u30d6\u5c71\u3067\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3092\u3055\u3089\u306b\u52a9\u3051\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002First, God allowed Elijah to vent his frustrations.\u3000 \u307e\u305a\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u4e0d\u6e80\u3092\u5410\u304d\u51fa\u3055\u305b\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Interestingly, when God asked Elijah the same question as before, Elijah gave the same response. \u8208\u5473\u6df1\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u4ee5\u524d\u3068\u540c\u3058\u8cea\u554f\u3092\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u3057\u305f\u6642\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u540c\u3058\u7b54\u3048\u3092\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002Yet, there must have been something helpful for Elijah in having this up close and personal conversation with God. \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u3053\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u795e\u69d8\u3068\u9593\u8fd1\u3067\u500b\u4eba\u7684\u306a\u4f1a\u8a71\u3092\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u52a9\u3051\u306b\u306a\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u3063\u305f\u306b\u9055\u3044\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002Then, God gave Elijah some assurances and things to do. \u305d\u3057\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u3044\u304f\u3064\u304b\u306e\u4fdd\u8a3c\u3068\u306a\u3059\u3079\u304d\u3053\u3068\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

As I mentioned earlier, May is Mental Health Awareness Month. \u5148\u306b\u8ff0\u3079\u305f\u3088\u3046\u306b\uff15\u6708\u306f\u30e1\u30f3\u30bf\u30eb\u30d8\u30eb\u30b9\u5553\u767a\u6708\u9593\u3067\u3059\u3002It is a good time to focus on the importance of mental health and its impact on our well-being. \u5fc3\u306e\u5065\u5eb7\u306e\u91cd\u8981\u6027\u3068\u3001\u305d\u308c\u304c\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u5e78\u798f\u306b\u53ca\u307c\u3059\u5f71\u97ff\u306b\u7126\u70b9\u3092\u5f53\u3066\u308b\u826f\u3044\u6a5f\u4f1a\u3067\u3059\u3002Mental health conditions can affect anyone, regardless of gender, age, race, ethnicity, or income level. \u30e1\u30f3\u30bf\u30eb\u30d8\u30eb\u30b9\u306e\u72b6\u614b\u306f\u6027\u5225\u3001\u5e74\u9f62\u3001\u4eba\u7a2e\u3001\u6c11\u65cf\u3001\u53ce\u5165\u30ec\u30d9\u30eb\u306b\u95a2\u4fc2\u306a\u304f\u3001\u8ab0\u306b\u3067\u3082\u5f71\u97ff\u3092\u53ca\u307c\u3059\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002Mental health conditions can affect even Christians, and those who we may consider spiritually strong. \u7cbe\u795e\u7684\u5065\u5eb7\u72b6\u614b\u306f\u3001\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u3084\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u304c\u970a\u7684\u306b\u5f37\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u4eba\u9054\u306b\u3055\u3048\u3082\u5f71\u97ff\u3092\u53ca\u307c\u3059\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002As we saw with Elijah, any one of us can get discouraged and depressed. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3067\u898b\u305f\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u8ab0\u3082\u304c\u843d\u80c6\u3057\u3001\u843d\u3061\u8fbc\u3080\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\u304c\u3042\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

What God basically told Elijah to do at the outset of his prophetic ministry was to rest and relax. \u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u50cd\u304d\u3092\u59cb\u3081\u305f\u5f53\u521d\u3001\u57fa\u672c\u7684\u306b\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u8a00\u308f\u308c\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u4f11\u3093\u3067\u30ea\u30e9\u30c3\u30af\u30b9\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002We all need times to retreat, that is get away, and to rest and to relax. \u79c1\u9054\u306f\u7686\u3001\u9000\u304f\u3053\u3068\u3001\u3064\u307e\u308a\u96e2\u308c\u3066\u4f11\u3080\u3053\u3068\u3001\u30ea\u30e9\u30c3\u30af\u30b9\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5fc5\u8981\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Elijah also rested in God\u2019s comfort and peace through prayer. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u307e\u305f\u3001\u7948\u308a\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u61a9\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002This is such a blessing, because we can do this 24\/7, at anytime and anywhere. \u79c1\u9054\u306f\u3044\u3064\u3067\u3082\u3001\u3069\u3053\u3067\u3082\u3001\u5e74\u4e2d\u7121\u4f11\u3067\u7948\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u304b\u3089\u3002Elijah also rested in God\u2019s comfort and peace when he was too weak to continue on. \u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3082\u307e\u305f\u3001\u5f31\u308a\u5207\u3063\u3066\u7d9a\u3051\u3089\u308c\u306a\u304f\u306a\u3063\u305f\u6642\u3001\u795e\u306e\u6170\u3081\u3068\u5e73\u5b89\u306e\u3046\u3061\u306b\u4f11\u3093\u3060\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
