I am sorry to begin this message with a random question, but have you ever run in a relay race?\u5510\u7a81\u306a\u8cea\u554f\u3067\u3059\u304c\u3001\u7686\u3055\u3093\u306f\u30ea\u30ec\u30fc\u3092\u8d70\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n
If you have participated in an undokai in a Japanese school, you have probably run in one.\u65e5\u672c\u306e\u5b66\u6821\u3067\u904b\u52d5\u4f1a\u306b\u53c2\u52a0\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308b\u4eba\u306a\u3089\u3001\u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\u8d70\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308b\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n
I did, when I ran in one while in elementary school in Japan.\u79c1\u306f\u65e5\u672c\u306e\u5c0f\u5b66\u751f\u306e\u6642\u306b\u8d70\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
I can tell you, I was not a fast runner then, and never have been.\u79c1\u306f\u5f53\u6642\u3082\u4eca\u3082\u3001\u6c7a\u3057\u3066\u8d70\u308b\u306e\u304c\u901f\u304f\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
However, in a relay race, the most important thing is to run your leg of the race as best you can \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u30ea\u30ec\u30fc\u3067\u4e00\u756a\u5927\u5207\u306a\u3053\u3068\u306f\u30d9\u30b9\u30c8\u3092\u5c3d\u304f\u3057\u3066\u8d70\u308a\u3001<\/p>\n
and to make sure to hand the baton safely to the next runner or to finish the race with the baton in hand.\u6b21\u306e\u8d70\u8005\u306b\u30d0\u30c8\u30f3\u3092\u78ba\u5b9f\u306b\u6e21\u3059\u3053\u3068\u3001\u3042\u308b\u3044\u306f\u30d0\u30c8\u30f3\u3092\u6301\u3063\u305f\u307e\u307e\u30b4\u30fc\u30eb\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Though running fast is important in order to win in a race, finishing the race is the goal for most of us when running in a race.\u30ec\u30fc\u30b9\u3067\u52dd\u3064\u305f\u3081\u306b\u306f\u901f\u304f\u8d70\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u91cd\u8981\u3067\u3059\u304c\u3001\u5b8c\u8d70\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u307b\u3068\u3093\u3069\u306e\u4eba\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u30ec\u30fc\u30b9\u306e\u30b4\u30fc\u30eb\u3068\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

You focus on the responsibility that is handed to you through the baton to run the leg that you are responsible to run.\u624b\u6e21\u3055\u308c\u305f\u30d0\u30c8\u30f3\u306b\u8cac\u4efb\u3092\u96c6\u4e2d\u3057\u3001\u5168\u529b\u3067\u8d70\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Often without even noticing, we entrust to them a part of ourselves.\u591a\u304f\u306e\u5834\u5408\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u6c17\u3065\u304b\u306a\u3044\u3046\u3061\u306b\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u4e00\u90e8\u3092\u5f7c\u3089\u306b\u59d4\u306d\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
We are to run our life that God has entrusted us to live with great care.\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u795e\u69d8\u304b\u3089\u8a17\u3055\u308c\u305f\u4eba\u751f\u3092\u3001\u7d30\u5fc3\u306e\u6ce8\u610f\u3092\u6255\u3063\u3066\u4f7f\u308f\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
For we have received a baton to run with to hand to the next generation.\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u6b21\u306e\u4e16\u4ee3\u306b\u624b\u6e21\u3059\u30d0\u30c8\u30f3\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u53d6\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u304b\u3089\u3002<\/p>\n
A couple of Sundays ago, we looked at the prophet Elijah.\u5148\u3005\u9031\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3092\u898b\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Today, we will look at the prophet Elisha.\u4eca\u65e5\u306f\u3001\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u3092\u898b\u3066\u307f\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n
Elisha in a sense was God\u2019s answer to Elijah\u2019s prayer of desperation when he was in his depressed state.\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u3001\u3042\u308b\u610f\u5473\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u843d\u3061\u8fbc\u3093\u3067\u3044\u305f\u6642\u3001\u5f7c\u306e\u7d76\u671b\u306e\u7948\u308a\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u7b54\u3048\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
As Elijah was venting his frustrations to God on Mount Horeb, God responded by giving him words of assurance.\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u30db\u30ec\u30d6\u5c71\u3067\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u4e0d\u6e80\u3092\u3076\u3061\u307e\u3051\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3068\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u305d\u308c\u306b\u5fdc\u3048\u3066\u5f7c\u306b\u4fdd\u8a3c\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
When God asked Elijah two times, \u201cWhat are you doing here, Elijah?\u201d<\/strong> (1 Kings 19:9, 13) \u795e\u69d8\u304c\u4e8c\u5ea6\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u300c\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3088\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u306f\u3053\u3053\u3067\u4f55\u3092\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u304b\u300d<\/strong>\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff19\u7ae0\uff19\u7bc0\u3068\uff11\uff13\u7bc0\uff09\u3068\u305f\u305a\u306d\u305f\u6642\u3001<\/p>\nElijah responded both times with the same response:\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u4e8c\u5ea6\u3068\u3082\u540c\u3058\u8fd4\u4e8b\u3092\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff1a<\/p>\n
1 Kings 19:10 and 14<\/u><\/strong>\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a\uff11\uff19\u7ae0\uff11\uff10\u7bc0\u3068\uff11\uff14\u7bc0\uff09<\/u><\/strong>\u201cI have been very zealous for the\u00a0Lord, the God of hosts; for the sons of Israel have forsaken Your covenant,\u00a0torn down Your altars and killed Your prophets with the sword. He must have felt like there was no one after him to pass the baton to.\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u5f8c\u306b\u30d0\u30c8\u30f3\u3092\u6e21\u3059\u4eba\u304c\u3044\u306a\u3044\u3068\u611f\u3058\u305f\u306b\u9055\u3044\u306a\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
Of course, in this case the baton was the prophetic ministry that he was called by God to fulfill.\u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u3001\u3053\u306e\u5834\u5408\u306e\u30d0\u30c8\u30f3\u3068\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u795e\u69d8\u304b\u3089\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u3066\u679c\u305f\u3059\u3079\u304d\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u306e\u52d9\u3081\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
But here, God assures Elijah that he was not running in vain.\u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u3053\u3053\u3067\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u7121\u99c4\u306b\u8d70\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3092\u4fdd\u8a3c\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
God also assures him that there is someone that he can hand the baton to next.\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u307e\u305f\u3001\u6b21\u306b\u30d0\u30c8\u30f3\u3092\u6e21\u305b\u308b\u4eba\u304c\u3044\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3082\u4fdd\u8a3c\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
That someone was Elisha the son of Shaphat of Abel-meholah.\u305d\u306e\u4eba\u7269\u3068\u306f\u3001\u30a2\u30d9\u30eb\u30e1\u30db\u30e9\u306e\u30b7\u30e3\u30d1\u30c6\u306e\u5b50\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
One of Elijah\u2019s main complaints before God was that he was alone.\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u4e0d\u6e80\u306e\u4e00\u3064\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u5b64\u72ec\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Elijah truly needed a friend, and God gave Elisha to be his friend.\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u672c\u5f53\u306b\u53cb\u3092\u5fc5\u8981\u3068\u3057\u3066\u304a\u308a\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u305d\u306e\u53cb\u3068\u3057\u3066\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Elisha was to be more than a friend to Elijah, for he was also to be his successor.\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u53cb\u4eba\u3067\u3042\u308b\u4ee5\u4e0a\u306b\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u5f8c\u7d99\u8005\u3067\u3082\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Elisha was to learn from Elijah of what it meant to be a prophet of God.\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306e\u610f\u5473\u3092\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3076\u3053\u3068\u306b\u306a\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
So, we see that after receiving these words of encouragement from God, Elijah was able to get up and get going once again.\u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304b\u3089\u306e\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u305f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u3001\u518d\u3073\u7acb\u3061\u4e0a\u304c\u308a\u3001\u52d5\u304d\u51fa\u3059\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
And he did not waste any time in going to find Elisha.\u305d\u3057\u3066\u6642\u9593\u3092\u7121\u99c4\u306b\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306a\u304f\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u3092\u63a2\u3057\u306b\u51fa\u304b\u3051\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Based on the fact that Elisha was plowing the ground with twelve pairs of oxen before him, \u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u304c\u5341\u4e8c\u304f\u3073\u304d\u306e\u725b\u3092\u524d\u306b\u884c\u304b\u305b\u3001\u5206\u306f\u5341\u4e8c\u756a\u76ee\u306e\u304f\u3073\u304d\u3068\u5171\u306b\u3044\u3066<\/p>\n

Elijah permitted Elisha to do so.\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306b\u305d\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u8a31\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
It is interesting to note what Elisha did with his pair of oxen that just minutes ago he was using to plow the field.\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u304c\u3001\u307b\u3093\u306e\u6570\u5206\u524d\u307e\u3067\u7551\u3092\u8015\u3059\u306e\u306b\u4f7f\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u4e00\u5bfe\u306e\u725b\u306b\u306a\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u8208\u5473\u6df1\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
He sacrificed them and prepared a meal with them, and gave it to his family and friends to eat.\u5f7c\u306f\u725b\u3092\u751f\u3051\u8d04\u3068\u3057\u3066\u6367\u3052\u3001\u305d\u306e\u725b\u3067\u98df\u4e8b\u3092\u4f5c\u308a\u3001\u5bb6\u65cf\u3084\u53cb\u4eba\u306b\u98df\u3079\u3055\u305b\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

After this farewell party, it says: Then he arose and followed Elijah and ministered to him.<\/strong> \u305d\u306e\u9001\u5225\u4f1a\u306e\u5f8c\u306b\u3001\u5f7c\u306f<\/strong>\u7acb\u3063\u3066\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u5f93\u3044\u3001\u4ed5\u3048\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\nIt is interesting to note that after this, Elisha is not mentioned in the Bible until the time of Elijah\u2019s departure. \u8208\u5473\u6df1\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3001\u3053\u306e\u5f8c\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u53bb\u308b\u6642\u307e\u3067\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u767b\u5834\u3057\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
So, I would like to call this period of time as Elisha\u2019s quiet service of assisting Elijah.\u305d\u3053\u3067\u79c1\u306f\u3001\u3053\u306e\u671f\u9593\u3092\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u3092\u52a9\u3051\u308b\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306e\u9759\u304b\u306a\u308b\u5949\u4ed5\u3068\u547c\u3073\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
While Elijah\u2019s ministry continued, Elisha served him, similar to how Joshua had assisted Moses.\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u306f\u305f\u3089\u304d\u304c\u7d9a\u304f\u9593\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u30e8\u30b7\u30e5\u30a2\u304c\u30e2\u30fc\u30bb\u3092\u52a9\u3051\u305f\u306e\u3068\u540c\u3058\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
It was only after Elijah\u2019s ascension to heaven that Elisha took on the role as the full successor to Elijah. \u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u304c\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u5b8c\u5168\u306a\u5f8c\u7d99\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u5f79\u5272\u3092\u62c5\u3046\u3088\u3046\u306b\u306a\u3063\u305f\u306e\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304c\u5929\u306b\u6607\u3063\u3066\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
There are variations as to how long a period this quiet season of service was for Elisha. \u3053\u306e\u9759\u304b\u306a\u5949\u4ed5\u306e\u6642\u671f\u304c\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3069\u308c\u307b\u3069\u306e\u671f\u9593\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u304b\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u306f\u3001\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u8aac\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

So, Elisha followed Elijah and ministered to him for many years before carrying on the full weight of the mantle of responsibility that was handed to him by Elijah. \u3064\u307e\u308a\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304b\u3089\u624b\u6e21\u3055\u308c\u305f\u8cac\u4efb\u3042\u308b\u5916\u5957\u306e\u91cd\u8cac\u3092\u62c5\u3046\u307e\u3067\u3001\u4f55\u5e74\u3082\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u5f93\u3063\u3066\u5949\u4ed5\u3057\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Thus, we can see Elisha\u2019s faithfulness and persistence in following Elijah.\u3053\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u304c\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306b\u5fe0\u5b9f\u306b\u3001\u7c98\u308a\u5f37\u304f\u5f93\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

2 Kings 2<\/u><\/strong>\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0b\uff12\u7ae0\uff09<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n19\u00a0<\/sup><\/strong>Then the men of the city said to Elisha, \u201cBehold now, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord sees; but the water is bad and the land\u00a0is unfruitful.\u201d\u00a020\u00a0<\/sup>He said, \u201cBring me a new jar, and put salt\u00a0in it.\u201d So they brought\u00a0it<\/em>\u00a0to him.\u00a021\u00a0<\/sup>He went out to the spring of water and\u00a0threw salt\u00a0in it and said, \u201cThus says the\u00a0Lord, \u2018I have\u00a0purified these waters; there shall not be from there death or\u00a0unfruitfulness any longer.\u2019\u201d\u00a022\u00a0<\/sup>So the waters have been\u00a0purified to this day, according to the word of Elisha which he spoke. 19<\/sup><\/strong>\u753a\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306b\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3001\u300c\u898b\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3068\u304a\u308a\u3001\u3053\u306e\u753a\u306e\u5834\u6240\u306f\u826f\u3044\u304c\u6c34\u304c\u60aa\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3001\u3053\u306e\u5730\u306f\u6d41\u7523\u3092\u8d77\u3059\u306e\u3067\u3059\u300d\u3002<\/strong>20<\/sup><\/strong>\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3001\u300c\u65b0\u3057\u3044\u76bf\u306b\u5869\u3092\u76db\u3063\u3066\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306b\u6301\u3063\u3066\u304d\u306a\u3055\u3044\u300d\u3002\u5f7c\u3089\u306f\u6301\u3063\u3066\u304d\u305f\u3002<\/strong>21<\/sup><\/strong>\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u6c34\u306e\u6e90\u3078\u51fa\u3066\u884c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u5869\u3092\u305d\u3053\u306b\u6295\u3052\u5165\u308c\u3066\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3001\u300c\u4e3b\u306f\u3053\u3046\u4ef0\u305b\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3001\u300e\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u3053\u306e\u6c34\u3092\u826f\u3044\u6c34\u306b\u3057\u305f\u3002\u3082\u306f\u3084\u3053\u3053\u306b\u306f\u6b7b\u3082\u6d41\u7523\u3082\u8d77\u3089\u306a\u3044\u3067\u3042\u308d\u3046\u300f\u300d\u3002<\/strong>22<\/sup><\/strong>\u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u305d\u306e\u6c34\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306e\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3068\u304a\u308a\u306b\u826f\u3044\u6c34\u306b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u4eca\u65e5\u306b\u81f3\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\nAs the successor to Elijah, Elisha continued to serve the schools of the prophets, helping the needy, performing miracles, giving advice to the king, and acting as a spokesman for God.\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u5f8c\u7d99\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u305f\u3061\u306e\u5b66\u6821\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u7d9a\u3051\u3001\u56f0\u7aae\u8005\u3092\u52a9\u3051\u3001\u5947\u8de1\u3092\u884c\u3044\u3001\u738b\u306b\u52a9\u8a00\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3001\u795e\u306e\u4ee3\u5f01\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u884c\u52d5\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
In regard to Elisha being endowed with a double portion of Elijah\u2019s spirit, the following things can be found in the Bible and in biblical scholarship:\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u304c\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u970a\u306e\u4e8c\u500d\u306e\u5206\u3092\u6388\u304b\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306b\u95a2\u3057\u3066\u3001\u8056\u66f8\u3068\u8056\u66f8\u5b66\u306b\u306f\u6b21\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u3053\u3068\u304c\u66f8\u304b\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\uff1a<\/p>\n
Elijah had a 35-year ministry and Elisha 70-year ministry.\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u30df\u30cb\u30b9\u30c8\u30ea\u30fc\u306f\uff13\uff15\u5e74\u3067\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306e\u30df\u30cb\u30b9\u30c8\u30ea\u30fc\u306f\uff17\uff10\u5e74\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
It also seems that the miraculous works of Elisha (15) are double the number performed by Elijah (7).\u307e\u305f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306e\u5947\u8de1\u306e\u6570\uff08\uff11\uff15\uff09\u306f\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u6570\uff08\uff17\uff09\u306e\u500d\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n
Elijah raised one person from the dead (1 Kings 17:17) and Elisha two (2 Kings 4:32; 13:20).\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u306f\u4e00\u4eba\u3092\u6b7b\u304b\u3089\u3088\u307f\u304c\u3048\u3089\u305b\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a17:17\uff09\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u4e8c\u4eba\u3092\u3088\u307f\u304c\u3048\u3089\u305b\u305f\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0a4:32; 13:20\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n
Interestingly, one man was raised by the dead body of Elisha (2 Kings 13:20).\u8208\u5473\u6df1\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306e\u6b7b\u4f53\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u4e00\u4eba\u306e\u4eba\u304c\u3088\u307f\u304c\u3048\u3063\u305f\uff08\u7b2c\u4e8c\u5217\u738b13:20\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n
Thus, it was a miracle that took place involving Elisha but after his death.\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u305d\u308c\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u304c\u95a2\u4e0e\u3057\u3066\u8d77\u3053\u3063\u305f\u5947\u8de1\u3067\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3001\u305d\u308c\u306f\u5f7c\u306e\u6b7b\u5f8c\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Thus, we see that Elisha received the mantle of God\u2019s blessings to carry on his work as a prophet from Elijah.\u3053\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304b\u3089\u795e\u306e\u795d\u798f\u306e\u5916\u5957\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u53d6\u308a\u3001\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u50cd\u304d\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u7d99\u3044\u3060\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
And that work was then passed on and carried on by many other prophets after him.\u305d\u3057\u3066\u305d\u306e\u306f\u305f\u3089\u304d\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u306e\u5f8c\u306b\u3082\u591a\u304f\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u9054\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u53d7\u3051\u7d99\u304c\u308c\u3001\u7d99\u627f\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
Because of time, I cannot go into more of God\u2019s wondrous works carried on through Elisha, such as the healing of Naaman (2 Kings 5).\u6642\u9593\u306e\u95a2\u4fc2\u3067\u3001\u30ca\u30a2\u30de\u30f3\u306e\u7652\u3057\uff08\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0b\uff15\u7ae0\uff09\u306a\u3069\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u884c\u308f\u308c\u305f\u795e\u306e\u4e0d\u601d\u8b70\u306a\u5fa1\u696d\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u3001\u3053\u308c\u4ee5\u4e0a\u3001\u89e6\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3067\u304d\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
I encourage you to go back to read 2 Kings 2-13, where Elisha\u2019s prophetic ministry is recorded.\u305c\u3072\u3001\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u50cd\u304d\u304c\u8a18\u9332\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u5217\u738b\u8a18\u4e0b\uff12\u7ae0\u304b\u3089\uff11\uff13\u7ae0\u3092\u8aad\u307f\u8fd4\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u3002<\/p>\n
Elisha received the mantle from Elijah to carry on the prophetic ministry that was given to him by God.\u30a8\u30ea\u30b7\u30e3\u306f\u30a8\u30ea\u30e4\u304b\u3089\u5916\u5957\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u53d6\u308a\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304b\u3089\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u52d9\u3081\u3092\u679c\u305f\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
As Christians, we are given a spiritual mantle from Jesus Christ who gives us a measure of authority to be His representatives in this world.\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u304b\u3089\u970a\u7684\u306a\u5916\u5957\u304c\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

We are to encourage people to be reconciled to God and be in right relationship with God \u79c1\u9054\u306e\u7f6a\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u6b7b\u306a\u308c\u3001\u6b7b\u8005\u306e\u4e2d\u304b\u3089\u3088\u307f\u304c\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f<\/p>\n
by putting their faith in Jesus Christ who died for our sins and rose from the dead.\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3092\u4fe1\u3058\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u795e\u3068\u548c\u89e3\u3057\u3001\u795e\u3068\u6b63\u3057\u3044\u95a2\u4fc2\u306b\u306a\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u4eba\u3005\u3092\u52b1\u307e\u3059\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
As Christians, we are also given the mantle of the Holy Spirit who gives us spiritual gifts and fruits in order to serve one another and carry on God\u2019s ministry.\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u307e\u305f\u3001\u4e92\u3044\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u5408\u3044\u3001\u795e\u306e\u30df\u30cb\u30b9\u30c8\u30ea\u30fc\u3092\u62c5\u3046\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u970a\u7684\u306a\u8cdc\u7269\u3068\u5b9f\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u308b\u8056\u970a\u306e\u5916\u5957\u3082\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
As Christians, we are all are called to serve and minister in some way.\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u7686\u3001\u4f55\u3089\u304b\u306e\u5f62\u3067\u5949\u4ed5\u3057\u3001\u5ba3\u6559\u3059\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Remember, it is God that gives us this spiritual mantle as his children through faith in Jesus Christ.\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3092\u4fe1\u3058\u308b\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u795e\u306e\u5b50\u3067\u3042\u308b\u79c1\u9054\u306b\u3053\u306e\u970a\u7684\u306a\u5916\u5957\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u308b\u306e\u306f\u795e\u69d8\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5fd8\u308c\u306a\u3044\u3067\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u3002<\/p>\n
At our last small group leaders meeting, we talked about how to raise up leaders in our groups.\u524d\u56de\u306e\u30b9\u30e2\u30fc\u30eb\u30b0\u30eb\u30fc\u30d7\u30ea\u30fc\u30c0\u30fc\u30df\u30fc\u30c6\u30a3\u30f3\u30b0\u3067\u306f\u3001\u30b0\u30eb\u30fc\u30d7\u5185\u3067\u30ea\u30fc\u30c0\u30fc\u3092\u80b2\u3066\u308b\u65b9\u7b56\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8a71\u3057\u5408\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
As a church, we must always be in the mindset of sharing ministry responsibilities with others, \u6559\u4f1a\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u5e38\u306b\u30df\u30cb\u30b9\u30c8\u30ea\u30fc\u306e\u8cac\u4efb\u3092\u4ed6\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u3068\u5206\u304b\u3061\u5408\u3046\u5fc3\u69cb\u3048\u3092\u6301\u3061\u3001<\/p>\n
and pass the spiritual mantle of such responsibilities to the next generation.\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u8cac\u4efb\u3092\u6b21\u306e\u4e16\u4ee3\u306b\u6e21\u3059\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u970a\u7684\u5916\u5957\u3092\u5f7c\u3089\u306b\u624b\u6e21\u3055\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
The apostle Paul exhorted his spiritual son Timothy to take this to heart.\u4f7f\u5f92\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3001\u970a\u7684\u306a\u606f\u5b50\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30c6\u30e2\u30c6\u306b\u3001\u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5fc3\u306b\u7559\u3081\u308b\u3088\u3046\u52e7\u3081\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
2 Timothy 2:2<\/u><\/strong>\uff08\u7b2c\u4e8c\u30c6\u30e2\u30c6\uff12\u7ae0\uff12\u7bc0\uff09<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\nThe things\u00a0which you have heard from me in the presence of\u00a0many witnesses, entrust these to\u00a0faithful men who will be\u00a0able to teach others also.<\/strong> \u305d\u3057\u3066\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u304c\u591a\u304f\u306e\u8a3c\u4eba\u306e\u524d\u3067\u308f\u305f\u3057\u304b\u3089\u805e\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3092\u3001\u3055\u3089\u306b\u307b\u304b\u306e\u8005\u305f\u3061\u306b\u3082\u6559\u3048\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306e\u3067\u304d\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306a\u5fe0\u5b9f\u306a\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u3001\u3086\u3060\u306d\u306a\u3055\u3044\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\nI have been a recipient of such blessings and therefore I am serving as a pastor today.\u3000\u79c1\u306f\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u795d\u798f\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u3001\u4eca\u65e5\u3001\u7267\u5e2b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u5949\u4ed5\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
I am encouraged to see how the youth leadership team meets regularly with the youth to disciple them \u30e6\u30fc\u30b9\u30ea\u30fc\u30c0\u30fc\u30c1\u30fc\u30e0\u304c\u30e6\u30fc\u30b9\u3092\u5f1f\u5b50\u8a13\u7df4\u3057\u3001\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3092\u3082\u3063\u3066\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u3001\u795e\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u3001<\/p>\n
and encourage them in their faith and in serving God.\u30e6\u30fc\u30b9\u3068\u5b9a\u671f\u7684\u306b\u4f1a\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u3092\u898b\u308b\u3068\u52b1\u307e\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
These meetings are about walking alongside of another person and sharing life together in Christ.\u3053\u308c\u3089\u306e\u30df\u30fc\u30c6\u30a3\u30f3\u30b0\u306f\u3001\u4ed6\u306e\u4eba\u3068\u5171\u306b\u6b69\u307f\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306b\u3042\u3063\u3066\u5171\u306b\u4eba\u751f\u3092\u5206\u304b\u3061\u5408\u3046\u305f\u3081\u306e\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Do you have such a person in your life?\u3042\u306a\u305f\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306b\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u4eba\u306f\u3044\u307e\u3059\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n
Are you such a person in another person\u2019s life?\u3042\u306a\u305f\u306f\u3001\u4ed6\u306e\u4eba\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u4eba\u3067\u3059\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n
As Christians, we have received from our Lord Jesus Christ and we are to pass along what we have received to the next generation.\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u4e3b\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u304b\u3089\u53d7\u3051\u305f\u3082\u306e\u3092\u3001\u6b21\u306e\u4e16\u4ee3\u306b\u4f1d\u3048\u3066\u3044\u304b\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
I would like to share a couple of these things in ending this message.\u3053\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u306e\u6700\u5f8c\u306b\u3001\u3053\u308c\u3089\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u3044\u304f\u3064\u304b\u304a\u8a71\u3057\u3057\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

was buried, and rose from the dead.\u846c\u3089\u308c\u3001\u6b7b\u304b\u3089\u3088\u307f\u304c\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u826f\u304d\u77e5\u3089\u305b\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Without this truth concerning Jesus Christ, we have nothing to pass on to the next generation.\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u3053\u306e\u771f\u7406\u304c\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u6b21\u306e\u4e16\u4ee3\u306b\u4f1d\u3048\u308b\u3082\u306e\u306f\u4f55\u3082\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
