Since July of last year, we have been looking at various people in the Bible as part of a message series titled \u201cLearning from Others, How to Live with God\u201d.\u3000 \u6628\u5e74\u306e\u4e03\u6708\u4ee5\u6765\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u300c\u4eba\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3073\u3001\u795e\u3068\u5171\u306b\u751f\u304d\u308b\u300d\u3068\u984c\u3057\u305f\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u30b7\u30ea\u30fc\u30ba\u306e\u4e00\u74b0\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u767b\u5834\u3059\u308b\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u4eba\u3005\u3092\u898b\u3066\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
And most of these people are recognizable by just mentioning their name.\u3000\u3053\u308c\u3089\u306e\u307b\u3068\u3093\u3069\u306e\u4eba\u9054\u306f\u3001\u305d\u306e\u540d\u524d\u3092\u6319\u3052\u305f\u3060\u3051\u3067\u8ab0\u3060\u304b\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
These are people such as Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, and David.\u3000 \u5f7c\u3089\u306f\u30a2\u30c0\u30e0\u3001\u30ce\u30a2\u3001\u30a2\u30d6\u30e9\u30cf\u30e0\u3001\u30e2\u30fc\u30bb\u3001\u30c0\u30d3\u30c7\u306a\u3069\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
However, we have also looked at less known people such as Enoch, Deborah, and Jephthah.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u30a8\u30ce\u30af\u3001\u30c7\u30dc\u30e9\u3001\u30a8\u30d5\u30bf\u3068\u3044\u3063\u305f\u3042\u307e\u308a\u77e5\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u306a\u3044\u4eba\u9054\u3082\u898b\u3066\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
For some of these people, there is much recorded in the Bible about them, of what they were like and what they did.\u3000 \u3042\u308b\u4eba\u9054\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u304c\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u4eba\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3001\u4f55\u3092\u3057\u305f\u304b\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u3001\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u591a\u304f\u306e\u3053\u3068\u304c\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
However, some of these people have very little recorded about them in the Bible.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u4e2d\u306b\u306f\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u307b\u3068\u3093\u3069\u8a18\u9332\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u306a\u3044\u4eba\u9054\u3082\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Such is the person we will be looking at today.\u3000 \u4eca\u65e5\u3001\u53d6\u308a\u4e0a\u3052\u308b\u4eba\u3082\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u4eba\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
In fact, the prophetic words that this person wrote are probably more recognizable than the person himself.\u3000 \u5b9f\u969b\u306b\u306f\u3053\u306e\u4eba\u304c\u66f8\u3044\u305f\u9810\u8a00\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u306f\u3001\u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\u305d\u306e\u4eba\u81ea\u8eab\u3088\u308a\u3082\u3088\u304f\u77e5\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

However, many of you may not be familiar with the fifth quote and Jim Elliot who said it.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u4e94\u3064\u76ee\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u30b8\u30e0\u30fb\u30a8\u30ea\u30aa\u30c3\u30c8\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u3092\u77e5\u3089\u306a\u3044\u4eba\u3082\u591a\u3044\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n

The person in the Bible we will be looking at today is similar in that the prophecy he wrote is probably better known than him.\u3000 \u4eca\u65e5\u53d6\u308a\u4e0a\u3052\u308b\u8056\u66f8\u306e\u4e2d\u306e\u4eba\u7269\u3082\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u66f8\u3044\u305f\u9810\u8a00\u306e\u65b9\u304c\u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\u5f7c\u3088\u308a\u3082\u3088\u304f\u77e5\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3068\u3044\u3046\u70b9\u3067\u4f3c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

This particular passage of Scripture can be found in the second chapter of the book of Joel, and are verses 28 to 32.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u8056\u53e5\u306f\u3001\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u66f8\u306e\uff12\u7ae0\uff12\uff18\u7bc0\u304b\u3089\uff13\uff12\u7bc0\u306b\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Joel 1:1\u3000The\u00a0word of the\u00a0Lord\u00a0that came to\u00a0Joel, the son of Pethuel: \u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\uff11\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\u3001\u30da\u30c8\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u5b50\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u81e8\u3093\u3060\u4e3b\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3002<\/p>\n
Beyond knowing that Joel was the son of Pethuel, and that God had called him to be a prophet to the people of Judah, we do not know much about him.\u3000 \u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u304c\u30da\u30c8\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u5f7c\u3092\u30e6\u30c0\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u3078\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u305f\u3053\u3068\u4ee5\u4e0a\u306e\u5f7c\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u77e5\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
Yet, God used Joel to speak His words to the people of Judah at a time that the nation was going through great difficulty.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u7528\u3044\u3066\u3001\u30e6\u30c0\u304c\u5927\u304d\u306a\u56f0\u96e3\u306e\u4e2d\u306b\u3042\u3063\u305f\u6642\u306b\u3001\u30e6\u30c0\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u305d\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u8a9e\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
It seems that due to devastation caused by a locust infestation (Joel 1:4), the nation had experienced starvation and draught.\u3000\u30a4\u30ca\u30b4\u306e\u5927\u767a\u751f\u306b\u3088\u308b\u8352\u5ec3\u306e\u305f\u3081\uff08\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\uff11\u7ae0\uff14\u7bc0\uff09\u3001\u56fd\u6c11\u306f\u98e2\u3048\u3068\u5e72\u3070\u3064\u3092\u7d4c\u9a13\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3088\u3046\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
This being fresh on their minds, Joel was calling the people to fast and pray and repent before the Lord.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u304c\u8a18\u61b6\u306b\u65b0\u3057\u3044\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u3001\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u65ad\u98df\u3068\u7948\u308a\u3068\u4e3b\u306e\u524d\u3067\u306e\u6094\u3044\u6539\u3081\u3092\u6c42\u3081\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

but because he wanted to point them to a future day of God\u2019s judgment known as \u201cthe day of the Lord\u201d.\u3000\u300c\u4e3b\u306e\u65e5\u300d\u3068\u3057\u3066\u77e5\u3089\u308c\u308b\u5c06\u6765\u306e\u795e\u306e\u88c1\u304d\u306e\u65e5\u3092\u6307\u3057\u793a\u3057\u305f\u304b\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

So, even as Joel proclaims that the day of the Lord is coming, and describes in detail of what that day will be like (Joel 2:1-11), \u3060\u304b\u3089\u3001\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u4e3b\u306e\u65e5\u304c\u6765\u308b\u3068\u5ba3\u8a00\u3057\u3001\u305d\u306e\u65e5\u304c\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u65e5\u306b\u306a\u308b\u304b\u3092\u8a73\u3057\u304f\u8ff0\u3079\u306a\u304c\u3089\uff08\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\uff12\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\u2212\uff11\uff11\u7bc0\uff09\u3001<\/p>\n

Then in Joel 3:1-21, it is recorded that God will gather all the nations and judge them while at the same time bless Judah.\u3000\u305d\u3057\u3066\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\uff13\u7ae0\uff11\u7bc0\u2212\uff12\uff11\u7bc0\u306b\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u5168\u3066\u306e\u56fd\u3005\u3092\u96c6\u3081\u3066\u88c1\u304d\u3001\u540c\u6642\u306b\u30e6\u30c0\u3092\u795d\u798f\u3055\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
I believe that the words in the book of Joel that are the most uplifting are the promises given in Joel 2:28-29.\u3000 \u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u66f8\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u6700\u3082\u9ad8\u63da\u3055\u305b\u3089\u308c\u308b\u8a00\u8449\u306f\u3001\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u66f8\uff12\u7ae0\uff12\uff18\u7bc0\u2212\uff12\uff19\u7bc0\u306b\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u7d04\u675f\u3060\u3068\u79c1\u306f\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
For this is a promise not just for the Jews but for all people.\u3000 \u3053\u308c\u306f\u30e6\u30c0\u30e4\u4eba\u3060\u3051\u3067\u306a\u304f\u3001\u5168\u3066\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u7d04\u675f\u3060\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
It is clear that this special time after the promised deliverance of Judah that is mentioned, will be marked by an outpouring of God\u2019s Spirit on all people.\u3000 \u5148\u306b\u8a71\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u30e6\u30c0\u306e\u89e3\u653e\u304c\u7d04\u675f\u3055\u308c\u305f\u5f8c\u306e\u7279\u5225\u306a\u6642\u304c\u3001\u5168\u3066\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u970a\u306e\u6ce8\u304e\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u7279\u5fb4\u3065\u3051\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u660e\u3089\u304b\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
This is significant, because what was seen up until that time, was that the Holy Spirit was not poured out on all people, \u3068\u3044\u3046\u306e\u3082\u3001\u305d\u308c\u307e\u3067\u898b\u3089\u308c\u305f\u306e\u306f\u3001\u8056\u970a\u304c\u3059\u3079\u3066\u306e\u4eba\u306b\u6ce8\u304c\u308c\u308b\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001<\/p>\n
but only upon certain men at certain times and only for certain duties.\u3000\u7279\u5b9a\u306e\u6642\u306b\u7279\u5b9a\u306e\u4eba\u306b\u3060\u3051\u3001\u7279\u5b9a\u306e\u8077\u52d9\u306e\u305f\u3081\u3060\u3051\u306b\u6ce8\u304c\u308c\u308b\u3068\u3044\u3046\u3053\u3068\u3060\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

The promised outpouring of the Holy Spirit described here, was to be upon all people: men and women, old and young, \u3053\u3053\u306b\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u7d04\u675f\u3055\u308c\u305f\u8056\u970a\u306e\u6ce8\u304e\u306f\u3001\u8001\u82e5\u7537\u5973\u3092\u554f\u308f\u305a\u3001<\/p>\n
without respect to social or economic status.\u3000\u793e\u4f1a\u7684\u30fb\u7d4c\u6e08\u7684\u5730\u4f4d\u306b\u95a2\u4fc2\u306a\u304f\u3001\u3059\u3079\u3066\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
And we are shown through the Bible in the book of Acts, that this outpouring of the Holy Spirit was partially fulfilled on the day of Pentecost.\u3000 \u305d\u3057\u3066\u3001\u3053\u306e\u8056\u970a\u306e\u6ce8\u304e\u304c\u30da\u30f3\u30c6\u30b3\u30b9\u30c6\u306e\u65e5\u306b\u90e8\u5206\u7684\u306b\u6210\u5c31\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3001\u8056\u66f8\u306e\u4f7f\u5f92\u884c\u4f1d\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u793a\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
For the apostle Peter quoted Joel 2:28-32 in explaining to those gathered in Jerusalem \u4f7f\u5f92\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u306f\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\uff12\u7ae0\uff12\uff18\u7bc0\u2212\uff13\uff12\u7bc0\u3092\u5f15\u7528\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30a8\u30eb\u30b5\u30ec\u30e0\u306b\u96c6\u307e\u3063\u305f\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u3001<\/p>\n

At the same time, with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, he was also claiming that they were ushering in \u201cthe last days\u201d.\u3000 \u540c\u6642\u306b\u3001\u8056\u970a\u306e\u6ce8\u304e\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u300c\u7d42\u308f\u308a\u306e\u65e5\u300d\u306e\u5230\u6765\u3092\u544a\u3052\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

Peter then incorporated God\u2019s promise given in Joel of: \u201cAnd it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.\u201d\u3000 \u305d\u3057\u3066\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u306f\u3001\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u66f8\u306b\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u795e\u306e\u7d04\u675f\u3092\u53d6\u308a\u5165\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\uff1a\u300c\u4e3b\u306e\u540d\u3092\u547c\u3073\u6c42\u3081\u308b\u8005\u306f\u307f\u306a\u6551\u308f\u308c\u308b\u3067\u3042\u308d\u3046\u300d<\/p>\n

Of course, the promise that Peter is referring to here is the gift of the Holy Spirit, which is promised to those who turn to Jesus Christ in faith.\u3000 \u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u3001\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u304c\u3053\u3053\u3067\u8a00\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u7d04\u675f\u3068\u306f\u3001\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3092\u3082\u3063\u3066\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306b\u7acb\u3061\u8fd4\u308b\u8005\u306b\u7d04\u675f\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u8056\u970a\u306e\u8cdc\u7269\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

So, though we do not know much about the prophet Joel, the apostles Peter and Paul quoted Joel in their presentation of the Gospel message to people.\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u3042\u307e\u308a\u77e5\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u304c\u3001\u4f7f\u5f92\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u3068\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u798f\u97f3\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u3092\u4f1d\u3048\u308b\u969b\u306b\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u5f15\u7528\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n
So, what can we learn from Joel\u2019s life?\u3000\u3067\u306f\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306e\u751f\u6daf\u304b\u3089\u4f55\u3092\u5b66\u3076\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u308b\u306e\u3060\u308d\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n
God\u2019s message is greater than His messenger.\u3000 \u795e\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u306f\u795e\u306e\u4f7f\u5f92\u3088\u308a\u3082\u5049\u5927\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Not many of us know much about Joel.\u3000 \u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8a73\u3057\u304f\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u4eba\u306f\u591a\u304f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
As far as the prophets of the Old Testament are concerned, Joel is not one of the major prophets.\u3000 \u65e7\u7d04\u8056\u66f8\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u306b\u95a2\u3057\u3066\u8a00\u3048\u3070\u3001\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u5927\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u306e\u4e00\u4eba\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
In fact, his book is part of what is called the minor prophets.\u3000 \u5b9f\u969b\u3001\u5f7c\u306e\u8457\u66f8\u306f\u5c0f\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u547c\u3070\u308c\u308b\u8005\u306e\u4e00\u4eba\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Beyond knowing his name, his father\u2019s name, and the fact that he was a prophet, we know very little about him.\u3000 \u5f7c\u306e\u540d\u524d\u3068\u7236\u89aa\u306e\u540d\u524d\u3001\u305d\u3057\u3066\u5f7c\u304c\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u4e8b\u5b9f\u4ee5\u5916\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u5f7c\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u307b\u3068\u3093\u3069\u4f55\u3082\u77e5\u3089\u306a\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Yet, God called Joel to be a prophet and proclaimed terrible and wonderful things through him.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u795e\u306f\u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3068\u3057\u3066\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u3001\u5f7c\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u6050\u308d\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3001\u7d20\u6674\u3089\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3092\u544a\u3052\u77e5\u3089\u305b\u3089\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Through Joel, we are warned of the great and terrible day of the Lord, \u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u306f\u4e3b\u306e\u5927\u3044\u306a\u308b\u6050\u308b\u3079\u304d\u65e5\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8b66\u544a\u3055\u308c\u3001<\/p>\n
and therefore to prepare ourselves for that day by repenting and living rightly with God.\u3000\u305d\u308c\u3086\u3048\u3001\u6094\u3044\u6539\u3081\u3066\u795e\u3068\u5171\u306b\u6b63\u3057\u304f\u751f\u304d\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u305d\u306e\u65e5\u306b\u5099\u3048\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Through Joel, we are also promised of the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all people who will call on the name of the Lord for salvation.\u3000 \u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u6551\u3044\u3092\u6c42\u3081\u3066\u4e3b\u306e\u5fa1\u540d\u3092\u547c\u3076\u5168\u3066\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u8056\u970a\u304c\u6ce8\u304c\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3082\u7d04\u675f\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Though Joel was a minor prophet and he is not as well-known as some other prophets and other people in the Bible, what he wrote is great and powerful.\u3000 \u30e8\u30a8\u30eb\u306f\u5c0f\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u4ed6\u306e\u9810\u8a00\u8005\u3084\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u767b\u5834\u3059\u308b\u4eba\u3005\u307b\u3069\u6709\u540d\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u304c\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u66f8\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u5049\u5927\u3067\u529b\u5f37\u3044\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Likewise, the Gospel message that is entrusted to us to share with others is greater than we are.\u3000 \u540c\u3058\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u4ed6\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u4f1d\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u79c1\u9054\u306b\u8a17\u3055\u308c\u305f\u798f\u97f3\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u306f\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u3088\u308a\u3082\u5049\u5927\u306a\u3082\u306e\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
We do not have to become great messengers in order to proclaim the Gospel message.\u3000 \u798f\u97f3\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u3092\u5ba3\u3079\u4f1d\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u79c1\u9054\u304c\u5049\u5927\u306a\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30f3\u30b8\u30e3\u30fc\u306b\u306a\u308b\u5fc5\u8981\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
In fact, the Gospel message has been faithfully proclaimed from one person to the next for over 2000 years since the Day of Pentecost by people \u4e8b\u5b9f\u3001\u798f\u97f3\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3092\u4fe1\u3058\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u8056\u970a\u306e\u8cdc\u7269\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u305f\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001<\/p>\n
who have received the gift of the Holy Spirit through placing their faith in Jesus Christ.\u3000\u30da\u30f3\u30c6\u30b3\u30b9\u30c6\u306e\u65e5\u4ee5\u6765\uff12\uff10\uff10\uff10\u5e74\u4ee5\u4e0a\u306b\u308f\u305f\u3063\u3066\u3001\u4e00\u4eba\u304b\u3089\u4e00\u4eba\u3078\u3068\u5fe0\u5b9f\u306b\u5ba3\u3079\u4f1d\u3048\u3089\u308c\u3066\u304d\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

Yes, some of them are written about in books regarding the spread of Christianity and Church history.\u3000 \u305d\u3046\u3067\u3059\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u306e\u666e\u53ca\u3084\u6559\u4f1a\u306e\u6b74\u53f2\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u672c\u306b\u66f8\u304b\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u4eba\u3082\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
Some of the names you may be familiar with would be like Saint Patrick, John Wesley, D.L. Moody, and Billy Graham.\u3000 \u8056\u30d1\u30c8\u30ea\u30c3\u30af\u3001\u30b8\u30e7\u30f3\u30fb\u30a6\u30a7\u30b9\u30ec\u30fc\u3001D.L.\u30e0\u30fc\u30c7\u30a3\u30fc\u3001\u30d3\u30ea\u30fc\u30fb\u30b0\u30e9\u30cf\u30e0\u306a\u3069\u3001\u7686\u3055\u3093\u304c\u3088\u304f\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u540d\u524d\u3082\u3042\u308b\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n
Even these so-called famous Christian evangelists, some of you may not know.\u3000 \u3044\u308f\u3086\u308b\u6709\u540d\u306a\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u6559\u4f1d\u9053\u8005\u3067\u3082\u3001\u77e5\u3089\u306a\u3044\u4eba\u3082\u3044\u308b\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n
In fact, I don\u2019t even remember the name of the person who shared the Gospel message to me when I was at a summer camp at the Tokyo Biblical Seminary in elementary school.\u3000 \u5b9f\u969b\u3001\u79c1\u3082\u5c0f\u5b66\u751f\u306e\u9803\u3001\u6771\u4eac\u8056\u66f8\u5b66\u9662\u306e\u30b5\u30de\u30fc\u30ad\u30e3\u30f3\u30d7\u306b\u53c2\u52a0\u3057\u305f\u969b\u3001\u798f\u97f3\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u3092\u4f1d\u3048\u3066\u304f\u308c\u305f\u4eba\u306e\u540d\u524d\u3059\u3089\u899a\u3048\u3066\u3044\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n
I know I had a special encounter with God and a clear understanding of what Jesus did for me through the message that was given, \u795e\u3068\u306e\u7279\u5225\u306a\u51fa\u4f1a\u3044\u304c\u3042\u308a\u3001\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u304c\u79c1\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3092\u660e\u78ba\u306b\u7406\u89e3\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u306b\u3001<\/p>\n

He led me to Christ as my cabin counselor at the JEMS Mount Hermon Junior High Camp in 1979.\u3000 \uff11\uff19\uff17\uff19\u5e74\u3001JEMS\u30de\u30a6\u30f3\u30c8\u30cf\u30fc\u30e2\u30f3\u30fb\u30b8\u30e5\u30cb\u30a2\u30fb\u30cf\u30a4\u30fb\u30ad\u30e3\u30f3\u30d7\u306e\u30ad\u30e3\u30d3\u30f3\u30fb\u30ab\u30a6\u30f3\u30bb\u30e9\u30fc\u3068\u3057\u3066\u5f7c\u306f\u79c1\u3092\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306b\u5c0e\u3044\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n

There are countless others that we do not know of by name who have faithfully \u4ed6\u306b\u3082\u79c1\u9054\u304c\u540d\u524d\u3092\u77e5\u3089\u306a\u3044\u3060\u3051\u3067\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u798f\u97f3\u3092\u5fe0\u5b9f\u306b\u3001<\/p>\n
and sacrificially proclaimed the Gospel of Jesus Christ from one generation to the next.\u3000 \u3000\u72a0\u7272\u3092\u6255\u3063\u3066\u3001\u4e16\u4ee3\u3092\u8d85\u3048\u3066\u5ba3\u3079\u4f1d\u3048\u3066\u304d\u305f\u4eba\u3005\u304c\u6570\u3048\u5207\u308c\u306a\u3044\u307b\u3069\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n

It is good news concerning what Jesus Christ has done in bringing about our salvation.\u3000\u305d\u308c\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u304c\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u6551\u3044\u3092\u3082\u305f\u3089\u3059\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u826f\u3044\u77e5\u3089\u305b\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
It is centered on the fact that Christ died for our sins, was buried, and that He was raised on the third day, all according to the Scriptures.\u3000 \u305d\u306e\u4e2d\u5fc3\u306f\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u304c\u79c1\u9054\u306e\u7f6a\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u6b7b\u306a\u308c\u3001\u846c\u3089\u308c\u3001\u4e09\u65e5\u76ee\u306b\u3088\u307f\u304c\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u4e8b\u5b9f\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n
