The key of course is to be content with what we content with our relationship with God in which we are promised that He will be with us always.\u3000 \u3088\u308a\u5177\u4f53\u7684\u306b\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u3068\u306e\u95a2\u4fc2\u306b\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002\u305d\u3053\u3067\u306f\u795e\u304c\u5e38\u306b\u5171\u306b\u304a\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3068\u7d04\u675f\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u304b\u3089\u3002<\/p>\n If God be with us, then what should we fear?\u3000 We can be thankful for what we have and we can be thankful for what we don\u2019t have (or what we have not experienced).\u3000 I have something that I am thankful for that I didn\u2019t experience.\u3000 \u79c1\u306b\u306f\u7d4c\u9a13\u3057\u3066\u3044\u306a\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306e\u4e2d\u306b\u3001\u611f\u8b1d\u3059\u3079\u304d\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n A few years back, I was driving near my home on the way to pick up one of my sons at his school, and then I swiped the side of my minivan on a mailbox.\u3000 \u6570\u5e74\u524d\u3001\u81ea\u5b85\u8fd1\u304f\u3067\u606f\u5b50\u306e\u5b66\u6821\u3078\u8fce\u3048\u306b\u884c\u304f\u9014\u4e2d\u3001\u30df\u30cb\u30d0\u30f3\u306e\u5074\u9762\u3092\u90f5\u4fbf\u53d7\u3051\u306b\u63a5\u89e6\u3055\u305b\u3066\u3057\u307e\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n The damage done to the minivan was a prominent dent, a broken antenna, and a broken hubcap.\u3000 \u30df\u30cb\u30d0\u30f3\u306b\u751f\u3058\u305f\u640d\u50b7\u306f\u3001\u76ee\u7acb\u3064\u3078\u3053\u307f\u3001\u6298\u308c\u305f\u30a2\u30f3\u30c6\u30ca\u3001\u305d\u3057\u3066\u58ca\u308c\u305f\u30db\u30a4\u30fc\u30eb\u30ad\u30e3\u30c3\u30d7\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n The damage to the mailbox was that it came off its pole, and the pole with its base fell into the ditch by the side of the road.\u3000 \u90f5\u4fbf\u53d7\u3051\u306e\u640d\u50b7\u306f\u3001\u652f\u67f1\u304b\u3089\u5916\u308c\u3001\u652f\u67f1\u3068\u571f\u53f0\u304c\u9053\u8def\u8107\u306e\u6e9d\u306b\u843d\u3061\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n As soon as I hit the mailbox, I stopped, and three neighbors rushed out to see what was going on.\u3000 \u90f5\u4fbf\u53d7\u3051\u306b\u3076\u3064\u304b\u3063\u305f\u77ac\u9593\u3001\u79c1\u306f\u8eca\u3092\u6b62\u3081\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u3059\u308b\u3068\u4e09\u4eba\u306e\u8fd1\u6240\u306e\u4eba\u305f\u3061\u304c\u99c6\u3051\u5bc4\u3063\u3066\u304d\u3066\u3001\u4f55\u304c\u8d77\u304d\u305f\u306e\u304b\u3092\u898b\u306b\u6765\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n One of the neighbors asked me, \u201cAre you drunk, or were you being stupid?\u201d\u3000 I answered, \u201cI was being stupid.\u201d\u00a0 I was!\u3000 I swiped the mailbox because I had leaned down to pick up something on the floor on the passenger side.\u3000 \u79c1\u306f\u52a9\u624b\u5e2d\u5074\u306e\u5e8a\u306b\u843d\u3061\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3082\u306e\u3092\u62fe\u304a\u3046\u3068\u8eab\u3092\u5c48\u3081\u305f\u305b\u3044\u3067\u3001\u90f5\u4fbf\u53d7\u3051\u306b\u63a5\u89e6\u3057\u3066\u3057\u307e\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n The road was a bit windy and downhill, and that momentary move by me caused the minivan to swipe the mailbox.\u3000 \u9053\u306f\u5c11\u3057\u66f2\u304c\u308a\u304f\u306d\u3063\u305f\u4e0b\u308a\u5742\u3067\u3001\u305d\u306e\u4e00\u77ac\u306e\u52d5\u304d\u304c\u30df\u30cb\u30d0\u30f3\u3092\u90f5\u4fbf\u53d7\u3051\u306b\u63a5\u89e6\u3055\u305b\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n So, what am I thankful for that I didn\u2019t experience?\u3000 \u3067\u306f\u3001\u7d4c\u9a13\u305b\u305a\u306b\u6e08\u3093\u3060\u3053\u3068\u306e\u4f55\u306b\u611f\u8b1d\u3059\u3079\u304d\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n First of all, the mailbox was fixable.\u3000 \u307e\u305a\u7b2c\u4e00\u306b\u3001\u90f5\u4fbf\u53d7\u3051\u306f\u4fee\u7406\u53ef\u80fd\u3060\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n With the help of a neighbor, we lifted the pole with its base out of the ditch.\u3000 \u96a3\u4eba\u306e\u52a9\u3051\u3092\u501f\u308a\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u652f\u67f1\u3092\u571f\u53f0\u3054\u3068\u6e9d\u304b\u3089\u5f15\u304d\u4e0a\u3052\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Secondly, the neighbor who owned the mailbox was not upset, and said he could put the mailbox back onto the pole without any cost to me.\u3000 \u7b2c\u4e8c\u306b\u3001\u90f5\u4fbf\u53d7\u3051\u306e\u6240\u6709\u8005\u3067\u3042\u308b\u96a3\u4eba\u306f\u52d5\u63fa\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306a\u304f\u3001\u79c1\u306b\u8cbb\u7528\u3092\u304b\u3051\u305a\u306b\u90f5\u4fbf\u53d7\u3051\u3092\u652f\u67f1\u306b\u623b\u305b\u308b\u3068\u8a00\u3063\u3066\u304f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Thirdly, and most of all, I didn\u2019t fall into the ditch.\u3000 \u7b2c\u4e09\u306b\u4f55\u3088\u308a\u3082\u3001\u79c1\u306f\u6e9d\u306b\u843d\u3061\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n I hit the mailbox, but thankfully I didn\u2019t fall into the ditch.\u3000 hardship in spite of my This past Wednesday, November 19, was the five-year anniversary of my dad\u2019s homegoing to heaven.\u3000 \u5148\u9031\u306e\u6c34\u66dc\u65e5\u3001\uff11\uff11\u6708\uff11\uff19\u65e5\u306f\u3001\u7236\u304c\u5929\u306b\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u3066\u304b\u3089\u4e94\u5e74\u76ee\u306e\u8a18\u5ff5\u65e5\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n As I reflect back on my relationship with my dad, there is one thing I can say with certainty.\u3000 \u7236\u3068\u306e\u95a2\u4fc2\u3092\u632f\u308a\u8fd4\u308b\u6642\u306b\u3001\u78ba\u4fe1\u3092\u6301\u3063\u3066\u8a00\u3048\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u4e00\u3064\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n It is something that I have often thought and have told my family, and it is that I have never doubted my dad\u2019s love for me.\u3000 This has sustained me throughout my life.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u78ba\u4fe1\u304c\u3001\u79c1\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u3092\u652f\u3048\u7d9a\u3051\u3066\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Of course, more importantly, it is the unfailing love of God that gives us the strength to live each day when we miss or lose our loved ones.\u3000 \u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u3001\u305d\u308c\u3088\u308a\u3082\u5927\u5207\u306a\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u611b\u3059\u308b\u4eba\u3092\u5931\u3063\u305f\u6642\u3001\u65e5\u3005\u3092\u751f\u304d\u308b\u529b\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u308b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u5909\u308f\u3089\u306a\u3044\u611b\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Scripture reminds us:\u3000 \u8056\u66f8\u306f\u3053\u3046\u6559\u3048\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\uff1a<\/p>\n Romans 8:35-39\uff08\u30ed\u30fc\u30de\uff18\u7ae0\uff13\uff15\uff5e\uff13\uff19\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n 35\u00a0<\/sup>Can anything ever separate us from Christ\u2019s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death?\u00a036\u00a0<\/sup>(As the Scriptures say, \u201cFor your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.\u201d)\u00a037\u00a0<\/sup>No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. 38\u00a0<\/sup>And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God\u2019s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,\u00a0neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow\u2014not even the powers of hell can separate us from God\u2019s love.\u00a039\u00a0<\/sup>No power in the sky above or in the earth below\u2014indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. If I am able to not doubt the love of my earthly father, then all the more I should be comforted in knowing the absolute certainty of God\u2019s unfailing love for me.\u3000 \u3082\u3057\u79c1\u304c\u3053\u306e\u4e16\u306e\u7236\u306e\u611b\u3092\u7591\u3046\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u306e\u306a\u3089\u3001\u306a\u304a\u3055\u3089\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u79c1\u3078\u306e\u5909\u308f\u3089\u306c\u611b\u306e\u7d76\u5bfe\u7684\u306a\u78ba\u4fe1\u3092\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u6170\u3081\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3079\u304d\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n And this love of God is revealed to all of us in Christ Jesus our Lord! \u3000 As I grow older and go through various experiences in life, I come to realize that the true blessings we have in life have to do with not what we have (our possessions), but with who we are with (our relationships).\u3000 \u5e74\u3092\u91cd\u306d\u3001\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u4eba\u751f\u7d4c\u9a13\u3092\u91cd\u306d\u308b\u4e2d\u3067\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u304c\u4eba\u751f\u3067\u5f97\u308b\u771f\u306e\u795d\u798f\u306f\u3001\u6240\u6709\u7269\uff08\u7269\u8cea\u7684\u306a\u3082\u306e\uff09\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001\u5171\u306b\u3044\u308b\u4eba\u3005\uff08\u4eba\u9593\u95a2\u4fc2\uff09\u306b\u3042\u308b\u3068\u6c17\u3065\u304b\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Therefore, we should give thanks to God for the beloved people He has placed in our lives.\u3000\u3060\u304b\u3089\u3053\u305d\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306b\u7f6e\u304b\u308c\u305f\u611b\u3059\u308b\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u5bfe\u3057\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u611f\u8b1d\u3059\u3079\u304d\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n And ultimately, the eternal relationships we can enjoy through faith in Jesus Christ.\u3000 \u305d\u3057\u3066\u7a76\u6975\u7684\u306b\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3078\u306e\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u697d\u3057\u3080\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u308b\u6c38\u9060\u306e\u95a2\u4fc2\u6027\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n One of the most comforting things for me in having lost my dad, is in knowing that he is now with Jesus.\u3000 \u7236\u3092\u4ea1\u304f\u3057\u305f\u79c1\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3001\u6700\u3082\u6170\u3081\u3068\u306a\u308b\u306e\u306f\u3001\u7236\u304c\u4eca\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u3068\u5171\u306b\u3044\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n And one day, I will be able to see him again in the presence of God in heaven.\u3000 with our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ is truly something we can be thankful for!\u3000 It is all by God\u2019s grace through faith in Jesus Christ.\u3000 \u3059\u3079\u3066\u306f\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3078\u306e\u4fe1\u4ef0\u306b\u3088\u308b\u795e\u306e\u6075\u307f\u306b\u3088\u308b\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n On this Sunday before Thanksgiving Day, I would like to look at someone in the Bible who truly was thankful to God for this amazing grace.\u30b5\u30f3\u30af\u30b9\u30ae\u30d3\u30f3\u30b0\u30c7\u30a3\u524d\u306e\u3053\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u3001\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u767b\u5834\u3059\u308b\u3042\u308b\u4eba\u7269\u304c\u3001\u3053\u306e\u9a5a\u304f\u3079\u304d\u6075\u307f\u306b\u5bfe\u3057\u3066\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u5fc3\u304b\u3089\u611f\u8b1d\u3057\u305f\u59ff\u3092\u898b\u3066\u3044\u304d\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n And because of God\u2019s grace, this person learned true contentment and to give thanks to God in everything.\u3000 \u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6075\u307f\u3086\u3048\u306b\u3001\u3053\u306e\u4eba\u7269\u306f\u771f\u306e\u6e80\u8db3\u3092\u5b66\u3073\u3001\u3042\u3089\u3086\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u795e\u306b\u611f\u8b1d\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u77e5\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n He is the one who wrote the verses we just read.\u3000 \u5f7c\u304c\u3001\u5148\u307b\u3069\u8aad\u3093\u3060\u8056\u53e5\u3092\u66f8\u3044\u305f\u4eba\u7269\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Yes, he is the apostle Paul, and this morning I would like to look at what he wrote in terms of being content.\u3000 \u305d\u3046\u3067\u3059\u3001\u4f7f\u5f92\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3067\u3059\u3002\u4eca\u671d\u306f\u5f7c\u304c\u300c\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u300d\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8a18\u3057\u305f\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u898b\u3066\u3044\u304d\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n Paul wrote in Philippians 4:10-14 of how he had learned to be content in whatever circumstances.\u3000\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u30d4\u30ea\u30d4\u4eba\u3078\u306e\u624b\u7d19\uff14\u7ae0\uff11\uff10\u7bc0\u304b\u3089\uff11\uff14\u7bc0\u3067\u3001\u3044\u304b\u306a\u308b\u72b6\u6cc1\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u3082\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3093\u3060\u3068\u8a18\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Philippians 4:10-14\uff08\u30d4\u30ea\u30d4\uff14\u7ae0\uff11\uff10\uff5e\uff11\uff14\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n 10\u00a0<\/sup>But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly, that now at last\u00a0you have revived your concern for me; indeed, you were concerned\u00a0before<\/em>, but you lacked opportunity.\u00a011\u00a0<\/sup>Not that I speak\u00a0from want, for I have learned to be\u00a0content in whatever circumstances I am.\u00a012\u00a0<\/sup>I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going\u00a0hungry, both of having abundance and\u00a0suffering need.\u00a013\u00a0<\/sup>I can do all things\u00a0through Him who\u00a0strengthens me.\u00a014\u00a0<\/sup>Nevertheless, you have done well to\u00a0share\u00a0with me<\/em>\u00a0in my affliction. 10<\/sup>\u3055\u3066\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u304c\u4e3b\u306b\u3042\u3063\u3066\u5927\u3044\u306b\u559c\u3093\u3067\u3044\u308b\u306e\u306f\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u3092\u601d\u3046\u5fc3\u304c\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u304c\u305f\u306b\u4eca\u307e\u305f\u3064\u3044\u306b\u82bd\u3070\u3048\u3066\u304d\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002\u5b9f\u306f\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u304c\u305f\u306f\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5fc3\u306b\u304b\u3051\u3066\u304f\u308c\u3066\u306f\u3044\u305f\u304c\u3001\u3088\u3044\u6a5f\u4f1a\u304c\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3042\u308b\u300211<\/sup>\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u4e4f\u3057\u3044\u304b\u3089\u3001\u3053\u3046\u8a00\u3046\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u3002\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u3001\u3069\u3093\u306a\u5883\u9047\u306b\u3042\u3063\u3066\u3082\u3001\u8db3\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3093\u3060\u300212<\/sup>\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u8ca7\u306b\u51e6\u3059\u308b\u9053\u3092\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u304a\u308a\u3001\u5bcc\u306b\u304a\u308b\u9053\u3082\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3002\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u3001\u98fd\u304f\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3082\u98e2\u3048\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3082\u3001\u5bcc\u3080\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3082\u4e4f\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3082\u3001\u3042\u308a\u3068\u3042\u3089\u3086\u308b\u5883\u9047\u306b\u51e6\u3059\u308b\u79d8\u3051\u3064\u3092\u5fc3\u5f97\u3066\u3044\u308b\u300213<\/sup>\u308f\u305f\u3057\u3092\u5f37\u304f\u3057\u3066\u4e0b\u3055\u308b\u304b\u305f\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u4f55\u4e8b\u3067\u3082\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u308b\u300214<\/sup>\u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u304c\u305f\u306f\u3001\u3088\u304f\u3082\u308f\u305f\u3057\u3068\u60a3\u96e3\u3092\u5171\u306b\u3057\u3066\u304f\u308c\u305f\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n The context of what Paul wrote here had to do with the financial support that he received from the Philippian Christians.\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u3053\u3053\u3067\u66f8\u3044\u305f\u6587\u8108\u306f\u3001\u30d4\u30ea\u30d4\u306e\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u305f\u3061\u304b\u3089\u53d7\u3051\u305f\u7d4c\u6e08\u7684\u652f\u63f4\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Although he was grateful for their support, he wanted to let them know of his contentment and the source of that contentment. \u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u652f\u63f4\u306b\u611f\u8b1d\u3057\u3064\u3064\u3082\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u6e80\u8db3\u3068\u3001\u305d\u306e\u6e80\u8db3\u306e\u6e90\u3092\u5f7c\u3089\u306b\u77e5\u3089\u305b\u305f\u304b\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Notice that Paul said \u201cI have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.\u201d\u300c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u3001\u3069\u3093\u306a\u5883\u9047\u306b\u3042\u3063\u3066\u3082\u3001\u8db3\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3093\u3060\u300d\u3068\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306b\u6ce8\u76ee\u3057\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n It is something Paul had to learn, and he had to learn it from the Lord Jesus.\u3000 \u3053\u308c\u306f\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u5b66\u3070\u306d\u3070\u306a\u3089\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u4e3b\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3093\u3060\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Even though Paul was in need, he was content where he was at \u2013 even in a Roman prison.\u3000 \u3000\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u8ca7\u3057\u3044\u72b6\u614b\u306b\u3042\u3063\u3066\u3082\u3001\u30ed\u30fc\u30de\u306e\u7262\u7344\u306e\u4e2d\u306b\u3044\u305f\u3001\u305d\u306e\u5834\u6240\u3067\u3055\u3048\u3082\u6e80\u8db3\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Paul reminds us that his contentment was not only theoretical.\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3001\u305d\u306e\u6e80\u8db3\u304c\u5358\u306a\u308b\u7406\u8ad6\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3092\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306b\u601d\u3044\u304a\u3053\u3055\u305b\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n He actually lived it by being financially well-off and financially in need.\u3000 \u5f7c\u306f\u5b9f\u969b\u306b\u3001\u7d4c\u6e08\u7684\u306b\u8c4a\u304b\u3067\u3042\u308b\u6642\u3082\u3001\u8ca7\u3057\u3044\u6642\u3082\u3001\u305d\u308c\u3092\u5b9f\u8df5\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n He actually experienced being filled and going hungry, of having abundance and suffering need.\u3000 \u5f7c\u306f\u5b9f\u969b\u306b\u3001\u6e80\u3061\u8db3\u308a\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3082\u98e2\u3048\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3082\u3001\u8c4a\u304b\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3082\u8ca7\u3057\u3044\u3053\u3068\u3082\u7d4c\u9a13\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Yet through it all, he was able to be content by learning:\u3000 \u305d\u308c\u3067\u3082\u3001\u5f7c\u306f\u5b66\u3076\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u3042\u3089\u3086\u308b\u72b6\u6cc1\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\uff1a<\/p>\n I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. \u308f\u305f\u3057\u3092\u5f37\u304f\u3057\u3066\u4e0b\u3055\u308b\u304b\u305f\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u4f55\u4e8b\u3067\u3082\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n In order to be content in all things, Paul needed the strength of Jesus Christ.\u3000 \u3042\u3089\u3086\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u306f\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306b\u306f\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u529b\u304c\u5fc5\u8981\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n This is a reminder to us that the Christian life is not about us mustering the strength to better ourselves, or in this case to \u201cmake ourselves\u201d content.\u3000 \u3053\u308c\u306f\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u3078\u306e\u6212\u3081\u3067\u3059\u3002\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u306e\u751f\u6d3b\u3068\u306f\u3001\u81ea\u3089\u3092\u5411\u4e0a\u3055\u305b\u308b\u529b\u3001\u3042\u308b\u3044\u306f\u3053\u306e\u5834\u5408\u300c\u81ea\u3089\u3092\u6e80\u8db3\u3055\u305b\u308b\u529b\u300d\u3092\u596e\u3044\u8d77\u3053\u3059\u3053\u3068\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Paul and all the apostles knew Jesus\u2019 words to be true in which He said:\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3068\u3059\u3079\u3066\u306e\u4f7f\u5f92\u305f\u3061\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u304c\u8a9e\u3089\u308c\u305f\u6b21\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u304c\u771f\u5b9f\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff1a<\/p>\n John 15:5\uff08\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\uff11\uff15\u7ae0\uff15\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n \u201cI am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he\u00a0bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing.\u201d\u300c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u3076\u3069\u3046\u306e\u6728\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u304c\u305f\u306f\u305d\u306e\u679d\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002\u3082\u3057\u4eba\u304c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306b\u3064\u306a\u304c\u3063\u3066\u304a\u308a\u3001\u307e\u305f\u308f\u305f\u3057\u304c\u305d\u306e\u4eba\u3068\u3064\u306a\u304c\u3063\u3066\u304a\u308c\u3070\u3001\u305d\u306e\u4eba\u306f\u5b9f\u3092\u8c4a\u304b\u306b\u7d50\u3076\u3088\u3046\u306b\u306a\u308b\u3002\u308f\u305f\u3057\u304b\u3089\u96e2\u308c\u3066\u306f\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u304c\u305f\u306f\u4f55\u4e00\u3064\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3042\u308b\u300d\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n With Jesus we can do all things, but without Him we can do nothing.\u3000 \u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u3068\u5171\u306b\u3042\u308c\u3070\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u3059\u3079\u3066\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u6210\u3057\u9042\u3052\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u304c\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306a\u3057\u3067\u306f\u4f55\u3082\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Getting back to the context in which Paul wrote these things, he did not want to give the impression that the Philippians had somehow done something wrong in supporting him.\u3000\u3000\u3000 Rather, Paul wanted for them to see that the giving by the Philippians was better for them than it was for him.\u3000 \u3080\u3057\u308d\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u3089\u306e\u732e\u91d1\u304c\u81ea\u5206\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3088\u308a\u3082\u5f7c\u3089\u81ea\u8eab\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u6709\u76ca\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u7406\u89e3\u3057\u3066\u307b\u3057\u304b\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Actually, godly giving is more of a blessing for the giver than for the one who receives.\u3000 \u5b9f\u969b\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u559c\u3070\u308c\u308b\u732e\u91d1\u306f\u3001\u53d7\u3051\u53d6\u308b\u8005\u3088\u308a\u3082\u4e0e\u3048\u308b\u8005\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3088\u308a\u5927\u304d\u306a\u795d\u798f\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n This was something Paul reminded the Christians in Ephesus in Acts 20:35:\u3000 \u3053\u308c\u306f\u4f7f\u5f92\u884c\u4f1d\uff12\uff10\u7ae0\uff13\uff15\u7bc0\u3067\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u30a8\u30da\u30bd\u306e\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u305f\u3061\u306b\u601d\u3044\u8d77\u3053\u3055\u305b\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\uff1a<\/p>\n \u201cIn everything I showed you that by working hard in this manner you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said,\u00a0\u2018It is more blessed to give than to Not only was Paul talking about contentment in regard to what he has or does not have in a materialistic sense, \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u8a9e\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u7269\u8cea\u7684\u306a\u610f\u5473\u3067\u306e\u6240\u6709\u306e\u6709\u7121\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u6e80\u8db3\u611f\u3060\u3051\u3067\u306a\u304f\u3001<\/p>\n but more importantly even in terms of his health or well-being as a person.\u3000\u3088\u308a\u91cd\u8981\u306a\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3001\u81ea\u8eab\u306e\u5065\u5eb7\u3084\u5e78\u798f\u3068\u3044\u3063\u305f\u4eba\u9593\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u72b6\u614b\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u3082\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n These things he wrote about to the Corinthian Christians.\u3000 Notice the context in which Paul wrote these things.\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u3053\u308c\u3089\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u66f8\u3044\u305f\u6587\u8108\u306b\u6ce8\u76ee\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u3002<\/p>\n Paul was explaining that God had blessed him with great revelations.\u3000\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u5f7c\u306b\u5927\u304d\u306a\u5553\u793a\u3092\u3082\u3063\u3066\u795d\u798f\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3092\u8aac\u660e\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n However, God also kept him humble by giving him a thorn in the flesh.\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u307e\u305f\u3001\u8089\u4f53\u306b\u4e00\u3064\u306e\u3068\u3052\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u5f7c\u3092\u8b19\u905c\u306b\u4fdd\u305f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Yes, notice that Paul wrote \u201cthere was given me a thorn in the flesh\u201d. \u305d\u3046\u3067\u3059\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u300c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u8089\u4f53\u306b\u4e00\u3064\u306e\u3068\u3052\u304c\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u300d\u3068\u66f8\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306b\u6ce8\u76ee\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u3002<\/p>\n Just as he was given great revelations from God, he was also given the thorn in the flesh.\u3000\u3000\u795e\u69d8\u304b\u3089\u5927\u304d\u306a\u5553\u793a\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3068\u540c\u69d8\u306b\u3001\u5f7c\u306f\u307e\u305f\u8089\u4f53\u306e\u3068\u3052\u3082\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n There are various speculations as to what this \u201cthorn\u201d might have been, but whatever it was, it kept or made Paul weak and humble.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u300c\u3068\u3052\u300d\u304c\u4f55\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u304b\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u306f\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u63a8\u6e2c\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u304c\u3001\u305d\u308c\u304c\u4f55\u3067\u3042\u308c\u3001\u305d\u308c\u306f\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3092\u5f31\u304f\u3057\u3001\u8b19\u905c\u306b\u3055\u305b\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n When we think of a thorn, we think of a somewhat minor irritation.\u3000 \u3068\u3052\u3068\u805e\u304f\u3068\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u591a\u5c11\u306e\u8efd\u5fae\u306a\u4e0d\u5feb\u611f\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u3082\u306e\u3092\u601d\u3044\u6d6e\u304b\u3079\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n However, the root word Paul used for thorn here describes a tent stake.\u3000\u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u3053\u3053\u3067\u3068\u3052\u3092\u8868\u3059\u305f\u3081\u306b\u7528\u3044\u305f\u8a9e\u6e90\u306f\u3001\u30c6\u30f3\u30c8\u306e\u676d\u3092\u6307\u3059\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Whatever it was in real terms, it must have been truly painful and debilitating.\u3000 \u5b9f\u969b\u306e\u3068\u3053\u308d\u305d\u308c\u304c\u4f55\u3067\u3042\u308c\u3001\u305d\u308c\u306f\u672c\u5f53\u306b\u5f7c\u306b\u306f\u82e6\u75db\u3067\u5f7c\u3092\u8870\u5f31\u3055\u305b\u308b\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u306b\u9055\u3044\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n All of us at one time or another have probably experienced something that was painful and debilitating.\u3000 \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u7686\u3001\u4eba\u751f\u306e\u3069\u3053\u304b\u3067\u82e6\u75db\u3067\u8870\u5f31\u3059\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306a\u7d4c\u9a13\u3092\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n Some of you may be experiencing such a thorn in the flesh right now.\u3000 \u4eca\u307e\u3055\u306b\u3001\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u8089\u4f53\u306e\u3068\u3052\u3092\u7d4c\u9a13\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u65b9\u3082\u3044\u3089\u3063\u3057\u3083\u308b\u304b\u3082\u3057\u308c\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n I get a sense from what Paul is writing here that he can relate to all of us, \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u3053\u3053\u3067\u66f8\u3044\u3066\u3044\u308b\u5185\u5bb9\u304b\u3089\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u5168\u54e1\u3001<\/p>\n and especially with those of you who have been experiencing such pain and debilitation for a long time.\u3000\u7279\u306b\u9577\u304d\u306b\u308f\u305f\u308a\u305d\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u75db\u307f\u3068\u5f31\u3055\u3092\u7d4c\u9a13\u3057\u3066\u304d\u305f\u65b9\u3005\u306e\u5fc3\u60c5\u306b\u5171\u611f\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u4f1d\u308f\u3063\u3066\u304d\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Let us learn from Paul of how he dealt with the matter. \u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u3053\u306e\u554f\u984c\u306b\u3069\u3046\u5bfe\u51e6\u3057\u305f\u304b\u3092\u5b66\u3073\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n Did Paul want to have this thorn in the flesh?\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3053\u306e\u8089\u4f53\u306e\u3068\u3052\u3092\u671b\u3093\u3067\u3044\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n It is quite evident from this passage of Scripture that he did not.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u8056\u66f8\u306e\u7b87\u6240\u304b\u3089\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u671b\u3093\u3067\u3044\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u660e\u3089\u304b\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n For he implored Jesus His Lord three times to take it away from him.\u3000 \u5f7c\u306f\u4e09\u5ea6\u3082\u4e3b\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u306b\u3001\u3053\u306e\u3068\u3052\u3092\u53d6\u308a\u9664\u3044\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u308b\u3088\u3046\u9858\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n You can almost see here Paul heeding his own exhortation to\u3000\u3053\u3053\u3067\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u52e7\u544a\u306b\u5f93\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u69d8\u5b50\u304c\u307b\u307c\u898b\u3066\u3068\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n \u201cBe anxious for nothing, but in everything by\u00a0prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.\u201d (Philippians 4:6)\u300c\u4f55\u4e8b\u3082\u601d\u3044\u7169\u3063\u3066\u306f\u306a\u3089\u306a\u3044\u3002\u305f\u3060\u3001\u4e8b\u3054\u3068\u306b\u3001\u611f\u8b1d\u3092\u3082\u3063\u3066\u7948\u3068\u9858\u3044\u3068\u3092\u3055\u3055\u3052\u3001\u3042\u306a\u305f\u304c\u305f\u306e\u6c42\u3081\u308b\u3068\u3053\u308d\u3092\u795e\u306b\u7533\u3057\u4e0a\u3052\u308b\u304c\u3088\u3044\u300d\u3002<\/p>\n Perhaps, when he first implored Jesus to take the thorn away, he thought the problem will be taken care of immediately.\u3000 \u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u6700\u521d\u306b\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306b\u3068\u3052\u3092\u53d6\u308a\u9664\u3044\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u308b\u3088\u3046\u9858\u3063\u305f\u6642\u3001\u554f\u984c\u306f\u3059\u3050\u306b\u89e3\u6c7a\u3055\u308c\u308b\u3068\u601d\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n Paul\u2019s imploring three times reminds us of Jesus praying three times to the Heavenly Father in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26:36-46).\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306e\u4e09\u5ea6\u306e\u304a\u9858\u3044\u306f\u3001\u30b2\u30c3\u30bb\u30de\u30cd\u306e\u5712\u3067\u5929\u306e\u7236\u306b\u4e09\u5ea6\u7948\u3063\u305f\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u3092\u60f3\u8d77\u3055\u305b\u307e\u3059\uff08\u30de\u30bf\u30a4\uff12\uff16\u7ae0\uff13\uff16\u7bc0\u2212\uff14\uff16\u7bc0\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n Three times, Jesus prayed asking if it was possible to let the cup\u2014that is God\u2019s judgment as He would go to the cross\u2014be taken from Him.\u3000\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306f\u4e09\u5ea6\u3001\u305d\u306e\u676f\u2015\u2015\u3059\u306a\u308f\u3061\u5341\u5b57\u67b6\u306b\u5411\u304b\u3046\u795e\u306e\u3054\u88c1\u304d\u2015\u2015\u304c\u53d6\u308a\u9664\u304b\u308c\u308b\u53ef\u80fd\u6027\u306f\u306a\u3044\u304b\u3068\u7948\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Of course, each time He also said, \u3082\u3061\u308d\u3093\u3001\u305d\u306e\u5ea6\u306b\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306f\u3053\u3046\u3082\u8a00\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n \u201cYet not as I will, but as You will.\u201d\u300c\u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u601d\u3044\u306e\u307e\u307e\u306b\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001\u307f\u3053\u3053\u308d\u306e\u307e\u307e\u306b\u306a\u3055\u3063\u3066\u4e0b\u3055\u3044\u300d\u3002<\/p>\n After that time of prayer, Jesus was at peace with the Heavenly Father and was resolved to go to the cross in accordance with His Father\u2019s will.\u3000 For Paul, the peace of God, which surpasses all\u00a0comprehension (Philippians 4:7) came by way of Jesus\u2019 words to him:\u3000\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3001\u7406\u89e3\u3092\u8d85\u3048\u308b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u5e73\u5b89\uff08\u30d4\u30ea\u30d4\uff14\u7ae0\uff17\u7bc0\uff09\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u304c\u5f7c\u306b\u8a9e\u3089\u308c\u305f\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u8a2a\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff1a<\/p>\n \u201cMy grace is sufficient for you, for\u00a0power is perfected in weakness.\u201d \u300c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u6075\u307f\u306f\u3042\u306a\u305f\u306b\u5bfe\u3057\u3066\u5341\u5206\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u529b\u306f\u5f31\u3044\u3068\u3053\u308d\u306b\u5b8c\u5168\u306b\u3042\u3089\u308f\u308c\u308b\u300d\u3002<\/p>\n The Lord did not remove the painful thorn that Paul was dealing with.\u3000 \u4e3b\u306f\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u62b1\u3048\u3066\u3044\u305f\u75db\u307f\u3092\u4f34\u3046\u3068\u3052\u3092\u53d6\u308a\u9664\u304d\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Instead, He strengthened Paul to be able to bear the painful thorn.\u3000 \u305d\u306e\u4ee3\u308f\u308a\u306b\u3001\u4e3b\u306f\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u75db\u307f\u3092\u4f34\u3046\u3068\u3052\u306b\u8010\u3048\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3088\u3046\u5f37\u3081\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Part of the learning process for Paul to be content required him to believe that God\u2019s grace is sufficient.\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3076\u904e\u7a0b\u306e\u4e00\u90e8\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6075\u307f\u306f\u5341\u5206\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3068\u4fe1\u3058\u308b\u5fc5\u8981\u304c\u3042\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n We cannot receive God\u2019s strength until we know of our weakness.\u3000 \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u5f31\u3055\u3092\u77e5\u308b\u307e\u3067\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u529b\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3067\u304d\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n We cannot receive the sufficiency of God\u2019s grace until we know our own insufficiency.\u3000\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u4e0d\u5341\u5206\u3055\u3092\u77e5\u308b\u307e\u3067\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u5341\u5206\u306a\u6075\u307f\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3067\u304d\u306a\u3044\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Since Paul learned to completely rely on Jesus\u2019 grace to strengthen him in dealing with his weakness, he was able to declare the following:\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u5f31\u3055\u3068\u5411\u304d\u5408\u3046\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306e\u6075\u307f\u306b\u5b8c\u5168\u306b\u983c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3073\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u305d\u308c\u3086\u3048\u5f7c\u306f\u3053\u3046\u5ba3\u8a00\u3067\u304d\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\uff1a<\/p>\n Most gladly, therefore, I will rather\u00a0boast\u00a0about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.\u00a0Therefore\u00a0I am well content with weaknesses, with\u00a0insults, with\u00a0distresses, with\u00a0persecutions, with\u00a0difficulties,\u00a0for Christ\u2019s sake; for\u00a0when I am weak, then I am strong. \u305d\u308c\u3060\u304b\u3089\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u529b\u304c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306b\u5bbf\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u3080\u3057\u308d\u3001\u559c\u3093\u3067\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u5f31\u3055\u3092\u8a87\u308d\u3046\u3002\u3060\u304b\u3089\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306a\u3089\u3070\u3001\u5f31\u3055\u3068\u3001\u4fae\u8fb1\u3068\u3001\u5371\u6a5f\u3068\u3001\u8feb\u5bb3\u3068\u3001\u884c\u304d\u8a70\u307e\u308a\u3068\u306b\u7518\u3093\u3058\u3088\u3046\u3002\u306a\u305c\u306a\u3089\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u304c\u5f31\u3044\u6642\u306b\u3053\u305d\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u5f37\u3044\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3002<\/p>\n Paul was able to boast about his weakness, that is the thorn in his flesh, rather than boasting about the great revelations that were given to him.\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u306b\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u5049\u5927\u306a\u5553\u793a\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8a87\u308b\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u5f31\u3055\u3001\u3059\u306a\u308f\u3061\u8089\u4f53\u306e\u3068\u3052\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8a87\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n And he learned to be content with not just his weaknesses but all the humiliation and hardships that came from following Christ and living for Him.\u3000 \u305d\u3057\u3066\u5f7c\u306f\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u5f31\u3055\u3060\u3051\u3067\u306a\u304f\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306b\u5f93\u3044\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u751f\u304d\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u751f\u3058\u305f\u3042\u3089\u3086\u308b\u5c48\u8fb1\u3084\u82e6\u96e3\u306b\u3082\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3093\u3060\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Paul wrote about his various hardships he endured for Christ\u2019s sake in the previous chapter of this letter to the Corinthians (2 Corinthians 11:24-29).\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3053\u306e\u30b3\u30ea\u30f3\u30c8\u4eba\u3078\u306e\u624b\u7d19\u306e\u524d\u7ae0\uff08\u30b3\u30ea\u30f3\u30c8\u4eba\u3078\u306e\u7b2c\u4e8c\u306e\u624b\u7d1911:24-29\uff09\u3067\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u8010\u3048\u305f\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u82e6\u96e3\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8a18\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n He wrote of his imprisonments, his times of being beaten, and the various dangers he experienced at the hands of many people.\u3000\u5f7c\u306f\u6295\u7344\u3055\u308c\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3001\u6253\u305f\u308c\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3001\u591a\u304f\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u304b\u3089\u53d7\u3051\u305f\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u5371\u6a5f\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u66f8\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n He finished up that list of hardships by writing:\u3000\u305d\u3057\u3066\u305d\u306e\u82e6\u96e3\u306e\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3092\u6b21\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u7de0\u3081\u304f\u304f\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\uff1a<\/p>\n 2 Corinthians 11:28-29\uff08\u7b2c\u4e8c\u30b3\u30ea\u30f3\u30c8\uff11\uff11\u7ae0\uff12\uff18\uff5e\uff12\uff19\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n 28\u00a0<\/sup>Apart from\u00a0such<\/em>\u00a0external things, there is the daily pressure on me\u00a0of<\/em>\u00a0concern for\u00a0all the churches.\u00a029\u00a0<\/sup>Who is\u00a0weak without my being weak? Who is\u00a0led into sin\u00a0without my intense concern? 28<\/sup>\u306a\u304a\u3044\u308d\u3044\u308d\u306e\u4e8b\u304c\u3042\u3063\u305f\u5916\u306b\u3001\u65e5\u3005\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306b\u8feb\u3063\u3066\u6765\u308b\u8af8\u6559\u4f1a\u306e\u5fc3\u914d\u3054\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308b\u300229<\/sup>\u3060\u308c\u304b\u304c\u5f31\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u306b\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u3082\u5f31\u3089\u306a\u3044\u3067\u304a\u308c\u3088\u3046\u304b\u3002\u3060\u308c\u304b\u304c\u7f6a\u3092\u72af\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u306b\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306e\u5fc3\u304c\u71c3\u3048\u306a\u3044\u3067\u304a\u308c\u3088\u3046\u304b\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n Here, Paul made it clear that with the power that Jesus gave to Him, he was able to think beyond his own self to the needs and concerns of others.\u3000 \u3053\u3053\u3067\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u304c\u4e0e\u3048\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3063\u305f\u529b\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3001\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u3053\u3068\u3092\u8d85\u3048\u3066\u4ed6\u8005\u306e\u5fc5\u8981\u3084\u61f8\u5ff5\u306b\u601d\u3044\u3092\u5de1\u3089\u305b\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u305f\u3068\u660e\u3089\u304b\u306b\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n He was not boasting here of all that he was able to do or endure.\u3000\u3053\u3053\u3067\u5f7c\u304c\u8a87\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u306e\u306f\u3001\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u6210\u3057\u9042\u3052\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3084\u8010\u3048\u5fcd\u3093\u3060\u3053\u3068\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n He was pointing to the fact that he was well content with weaknesses and the hardships he endured for Christ\u2019s sake, \u5f7c\u304c\u6307\u6458\u3057\u305f\u306e\u306f\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u8010\u3048\u305f\u5f31\u3055\u3084\u82e6\u96e3\u306b\u6e80\u8db3\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u4e8b\u5b9f\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n because he was made strong by God. Thus, Paul also wrote after these things:\u3000\u3000\u306a\u305c\u306a\u3089\u5f7c\u306f\u795e\u69d8\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u5f37\u3081\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u305f\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002\u3053\u3046\u3057\u3066\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u3001\u3053\u308c\u3089\u306e\u4e8b\u306e\u5f8c\u306b\u3082\u3053\u3046\u8a18\u3057\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\uff1a<\/p>\n If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness. (2 Corinthians 11:30)\u3082\u3057\u8a87\u3089\u306d\u3070\u306a\u3089\u306a\u3044\u306e\u306a\u3089\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u5f31\u3055\u3092\u8a87\u308d\u3046\u3002\uff08\u7b2c\u4e8c\u30b3\u30ea\u30f3\u30c8\uff11\uff11\u7ae0\uff13\uff10\u7bc0\uff09<\/strong><\/p>\n Some people think that real Christian maturity means becoming somewhat \u201cindependent\u201d of God.\u3000 \u3042\u308b\u4eba\u3005\u306f\u3001\u771f\u306e\u30af\u30ea\u30b9\u30c1\u30e3\u30f3\u306e\u6210\u719f\u3068\u306f\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304b\u3089\u3042\u308b\u7a0b\u5ea6\u300c\u81ea\u7acb\u300d\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3060\u3068\u8003\u3048\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n This cannot be further from the truth.\u3000 \u3053\u308c\u306f\u771f\u5b9f\u304b\u3089\u7a0b\u9060\u3044\u3082\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n How did God mature Paul in his faith and his service to Christ?\u3000 \u795e\u69d8\u306f\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306e\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3068\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3078\u306e\u5949\u4ed5\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u3001\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u5f7c\u3092\u6210\u719f\u3055\u305b\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n God showed Paul how weak he really was through debilitating circumstances, \u795e\u69d8\u306f\u8870\u5f31\u3055\u305b\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306a\u72b6\u6cc1\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u5b9f\u969b\u306b\u3069\u308c\u307b\u3069\u5f31\u3044\u5b58\u5728\u3067\u3042\u308b\u304b\u3092\u793a\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n so he would be in constant, total dependence on God\u2019s grace and God\u2019s strength.\u3000\u305d\u308c\u306f\u5f7c\u304c\u7d76\u3048\u305a\u3001\u5b8c\u5168\u306b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6075\u307f\u3068\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u529b\u306b\u4f9d\u5b58\u3059\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3059\u308b\u305f\u3081\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Please note that God did not allow the thorn in the flesh to punish Paul.\u3000\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3092\u7f70\u3059\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u8089\u4f53\u306e\u3068\u3052\u3092\u8a31\u3055\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u306f\u306a\u3044\u3053\u3068\u306b\u7559\u610f\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u3002<\/p>\n Nor was it given to keep him weak for the sake of weakness.\u3000 \u307e\u305f\u3001\u5f31\u3055\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u5f7c\u3092\u5f31\u304f\u4fdd\u3064\u305f\u3081\u3067\u3082\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n God allowed it to show a divine strength in Paul found as a grace (gift) given to him.\u3000 \u795e\u69d8\u304c\u305d\u308c\u3092\u8a31\u3055\u308c\u305f\u306e\u306f\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306b\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u6075\u307f\uff08\u8cdc\u7269\uff09\u3068\u3057\u3066\u73fe\u308c\u308b\u795e\u306e\u529b\u3092\u793a\u3059\u305f\u3081\u3060\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n We must ask ourselves:\u00a0 Am I stronger than Paul that I don\u2019t need God\u2019s grace in my life?\u3000 \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u81ea\u554f\u3059\u3079\u304d\u3067\u3059\uff1a\u79c1\u306f\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3088\u308a\u5f37\u3044\u306e\u304b\uff1f\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306b\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6075\u307f\u306f\u4e0d\u8981\u306a\u306e\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n Let us learn to say like Paul by God\u2019s grace: \u201cWhen I am weak, then I am strong.\u201d \u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6075\u307f\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u8a00\u3044\u8868\u3059\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3073\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\uff1a\u300c\u308f\u305f\u3057\u304c\u5f31\u3044\u6642\u306b\u3053\u305d\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u306f\u5f37\u3044\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3042\u308b\u300d\u3002<\/p>\n For God\u2019s grace is sufficient for all of us in our weaknesses, because Christ\u2019s power dwells in us.\u3000 \u306a\u305c\u306a\u3089\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u529b\u304c\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306e\u5185\u306b\u5bbf\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u304b\u3089\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u6075\u307f\u306f\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306e\u5f31\u3055\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u5341\u5206\u3060\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Let us therefore learn to be content with what we have, in whatever circumstances we find ourselves in, and with weaknesses and struggles we face for Christ\u2019s sake.\u3000 \u3067\u3059\u304b\u3089\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u304c\u3069\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306a\u72b6\u6cc1\u306b\u3042\u3063\u3066\u3082\u3001\u307e\u305f\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u76f4\u9762\u3059\u308b\u5f31\u3055\u3084\u56f0\u96e3\u304c\u3042\u3063\u3066\u3082\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u304c\u6301\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3082\u306e\u306b\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3073\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n Let us remember that despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.\u3000 In closing, I want to share with you a person who learned and practiced contentment through His faith and love for Christ.\u3000 \u6700\u5f8c\u306b\u3001\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3078\u306e\u4fe1\u4ef0\u3068\u611b\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u6e80\u8db3\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u5b66\u3073\u3001\u5b9f\u8df5\u3057\u305f\u4eba\u7269\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u3054\u7d39\u4ecb\u3057\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n His name is Martin Rinkart.\u3000 \u305d\u306e\u4eba\u7269\u306f\u3001\u30de\u30fc\u30c6\u30a3\u30f3\u30fb\u30ea\u30f3\u30ab\u30fc\u30c8\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Martin Rinkart was born on April 23, 1586, in Eilenburg, Germany.\u3000 \u30de\u30fc\u30c6\u30a3\u30f3\u30fb\u30ea\u30f3\u30ab\u30fc\u30c8\u306f\u3001\uff11\uff15\uff18\uff16\u5e74\uff14\u6708\uff12\uff13\u65e5\u306b\u30c9\u30a4\u30c4\u306e\u30a2\u30a4\u30ec\u30f3\u30d6\u30eb\u30af\u3067\u751f\u307e\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Rinkart served as the pastor of the church in Eilenburg from November of 1617 to until his death on December 8, 1649.\u3000
