<\/p>\n John Mark: Encouragement to Become a Useful Servant of God Let me begin today\u2019s message with some questions for us to ponder. \u4eca\u65e5\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u306f\u3001\u7686\u3055\u3093\u306b\u8003\u3048\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3060\u304d\u305f\u3044\u3001\u3044\u304f\u3064\u304b\u306e\u8cea\u554f\u304b\u3089\u59cb\u3081\u3055\u305b\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u3002<\/p>\n How many of you have ever let someone down? \u3053\u308c\u307e\u3067\u8ab0\u304b\u3092\u5931\u671b\u3055\u305b\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308b\u65b9\u306f\u3069\u308c\u304f\u3089\u3044\u3001\u3044\u307e\u3059\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n How many of you have ever let yourself down? \u3053\u308c\u307e\u3067\u81ea\u5206\u81ea\u8eab\u3092\u5931\u671b\u3055\u305b\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308b\u65b9\u306f\u3069\u308c\u304f\u3089\u3044\u3001\u3044\u307e\u3059\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n Have you ever failed to meet someone\u2019s expectations, or your own expectations? \u8ab0\u304b\u306e\u671f\u5f85\u3001\u3042\u308b\u3044\u306f\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u671f\u5f85\u306b\u5fdc\u3048\u3089\u308c\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n Personally, as a husband, father, and son, I have disappointed myself and my family. \u500b\u4eba\u7684\u306b\u306f\u592b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u7236\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u606f\u5b50\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u81ea\u8eab\u3084\u5bb6\u65cf\u3092\u5931\u671b\u3055\u305b\u3066\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n I have also disappointed myself and others as a pastor. \u7267\u5e2b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u81ea\u8eab\u3084\u4ed6\u306e\u4eba\u3005\u3092\u5931\u671b\u3055\u305b\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3082\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Yet, I pray that I can continue to grow to become a better husband, father, son, and pastor. \u3000\u305d\u308c\u3067\u3082\u3001\u3088\u308a\u826f\u3044\u592b\u3001\u7236\u3001\u606f\u5b50\u3001\u7267\u5e2b\u3078\u3068\u6210\u9577\u3057\u7d9a\u3051\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3088\u3046\u7948\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Today, I want to talk about a person in the Bible who probably felt like he let someone down. \u4eca\u65e5\u306f\u3001\u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\u8ab0\u304b\u3092\u5931\u671b\u3055\u305b\u305f\u3068\u611f\u3058\u305f\u8056\u66f8\u306e\u4eba\u7269\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u304a\u8a71\u3057\u3057\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059<\/p>\n There are three prominent Johns in the New Testament. \u65b0\u7d04\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u306f\u4e09\u4eba\u306e\u8457\u540d\u306a\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u304c\u767b\u5834\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n They are John the Baptist, John the Apostle, and John Mark. \u6d17\u793c\u8005\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u3001\u4f7f\u5f92\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u3001\u305d\u3057\u3066\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u30fb\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n We have already looked at John the Baptist and John the Apostle during this current message series \u201cLearning from Others, How to Live with God\u201d. \u73fe\u5728\u9032\u884c\u4e2d\u306e\u30e1\u30c3\u30bb\u30fc\u30b8\u30b7\u30ea\u30fc\u30ba\u300c\u4ed6\u8005\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3076\u3001\u795e\u3068\u5171\u306b\u751f\u304d\u308b\u65b9\u6cd5\u300d\u3067\u306f\u3001\u3059\u3067\u306b\u6d17\u793c\u8005\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u3068\u4f7f\u5f92\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8003\u5bdf\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Today, we will look at John Mark, who is the one who wrote the Gospel of Mark. \u672c\u65e5\u306f\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u3088\u308b\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\u306e\u8457\u8005\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u30fb\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8003\u5bdf\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n There are some details of his family given in the New Testament. \u65b0\u7d04\u8056\u66f8\u306b\u306f\u5f7c\u306e\u5bb6\u65cf\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u8a73\u7d30\u304c\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n The following verses describe the apostle Peter, after being arrested by King Herod, miraculously escaping from prison with the help of an angel. \u4ee5\u4e0b\u306e\u8056\u53e5\u306f\u3001\u4f7f\u5f92\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u304c\u30d8\u30ed\u30c7\u738b\u306b\u6355\u3089\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u5f8c\u3001\u5929\u4f7f\u306e\u52a9\u3051\u306b\u3088\u308a\u5947\u8de1\u7684\u306b\u7262\u7344\u304b\u3089\u8131\u51fa\u3057\u305f\u69d8\u5b50\u3092\u63cf\u3044\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Acts 12:11-14\uff08\u4f7f\u5f92\u884c\u4f1d\uff11\uff12\u7ae0\uff11\uff11\uff5e\uff11\uff14\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n 11\u00a0<\/sup>When Peter\u00a0came\u00a0to himself, he said, \u201cNow I know for sure that\u00a0the Lord has sent forth His angel and rescued me from the hand of Herod and from all\u00a0that the Jewish people were expecting.\u201d\u00a012\u00a0<\/sup>And when he realized\u00a0this<\/em>, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of\u00a0John who was also called Mark, where many were gathered together and\u00a0were praying.\u00a013\u00a0<\/sup>When he knocked at the door of the gate,\u00a0a servant-girl named Rhoda came to answer.\u00a014\u00a0<\/sup>When she recognized Peter\u2019s voice,\u00a0because of her joy she did not open the gate, but ran in and announced that Peter was standing in front of the gate.\u00a011<\/sup>\u305d\u306e\u6642\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u306f\u308f\u308c\u306b\u304b\u3048\u3063\u3066\u8a00\u3063\u305f\u3001\u300c\u4eca\u306f\u3058\u3081\u3066\u3001\u307b\u3093\u3068\u3046\u306e\u3053\u3068\u304c\u308f\u304b\u3063\u305f\u3002\u4e3b\u304c\u5fa1\u4f7f\u3092\u3064\u304b\u308f\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30d8\u30ed\u30c7\u306e\u624b\u304b\u3089\u3001\u307e\u305f\u30e6\u30c0\u30e4\u4eba\u305f\u3061\u306e\u5f85\u3061\u3082\u3046\u3051\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3042\u3089\u3086\u308b\u707d\u304b\u3089\u3001\u308f\u305f\u3057\u3092\u6551\u3044\u51fa\u3057\u3066\u4e0b\u3055\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3060\u300d\u300212<\/sup>\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u306f\u3053\u3046\u3068\u308f\u304b\u3063\u3066\u304b\u3089\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3068\u547c\u3070\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u306e\u6bcd\u30de\u30ea\u30e4\u306e\u5bb6\u306b\u884c\u3063\u305f\u3002\u305d\u306e\u5bb6\u306b\u306f\u5927\u305c\u3044\u306e\u4eba\u304c\u96c6\u307e\u3063\u3066\u7948\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u300213<\/sup>\u5f7c\u304c\u9580\u306e\u6238\u3092\u305f\u305f\u3044\u305f\u3068\u3053\u308d\u3001\u30ed\u30c0\u3068\u3044\u3046\u5973\u4e2d\u304c\u53d6\u6b21\u304e\u306b\u51fa\u3066\u304d\u305f\u304c\u300114<\/sup>\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u306e\u58f0\u3060\u3068\u308f\u304b\u308b\u3068\u3001\u559c\u3073\u306e\u3042\u307e\u308a\u3001\u9580\u3092\u3042\u3051\u3082\u3057\u306a\u3044\u3067\u5bb6\u306b\u99c6\u3051\u8fbc\u307f\u3001\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u304c\u9580\u53e3\u306b\u7acb\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3068\u5831\u544a\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n We see that John was also called Mark, thus we know him as John Mark, or more commonly as Mark. \u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u306f\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3068\u3082\u547c\u3070\u308c\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u5f7c\u3092\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u30fb\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3001\u3042\u308b\u3044\u306f\u3088\u308a\u4e00\u822c\u7684\u306b\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3068\u3057\u3066\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n We know that his mother was named Mary. \u5f7c\u306e\u6bcd\u89aa\u306f\u30de\u30ea\u30a2\u3068\u3044\u3046\u540d\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n It seems that Mark\u2019s family, the household of Mary, was somewhat well to do, as they had at least one servant girl \u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u5bb6\u65cf\u3001\u3059\u306a\u308f\u3061\u30de\u30ea\u30a2\u306e\u5bb6\u306f\u3001\u5c11\u306a\u304f\u3068\u3082\u4e00\u4eba\u306e\u5973\u4e2d\u3092\u96c7\u3044\u3001<\/p>\n and had sufficient space to accommodate a sizeable prayer meeting.\u5927\u898f\u6a21\u306a\u7948\u308a\u306e\u96c6\u4f1a\u3092\u958b\u304f\u306e\u306b\u5341\u5206\u306a\u30b9\u30da\u30fc\u30b9\u3092\u6301\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304b\u3089\u3001\u3042\u308b\u7a0b\u5ea6\u88d5\u798f\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3088\u3046\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Also, the fact that Peter, upon his miraculous release from prison, knew where to find the praying church, \u307e\u305f\u3001\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u304c\u5947\u8de1\u7684\u306b\u7262\u7344\u304b\u3089\u89e3\u653e\u3055\u308c\u305f\u969b\u3001\u7948\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u6559\u4f1a\u3092\u898b\u3064\u3051\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u4e8b\u5b9f\u306f\u3001<\/p>\n implies that the household held a position of some prominence among the early Jewish Christians in Jerusalem.\u3053\u306e\u5bb6\u304c\u30a8\u30eb\u30b5\u30ec\u30e0\u306e\u521d\u671f\u30e6\u30c0\u30e4\u4eba\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u8005\u305f\u3061\u306e\u9593\u3067\u4e00\u5b9a\u306e\u5730\u4f4d\u3092\u5360\u3081\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3092\u793a\u5506\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Additionally, we know that Barnabas, who was a key leader of the church in Jerusalem and later on in Antioch (Acts 11:19-26; 13:1), was Mark\u2019s cousin (Colossians 4:10). \u3055\u3089\u306b\u3001\u30a8\u30eb\u30b5\u30ec\u30e0\u6559\u4f1a\u3001\u5f8c\u306e\u30a2\u30f3\u30c6\u30a3\u30aa\u30b1\u6559\u4f1a\u306e\uff08\u4f7f\u5f92\u884c\u4f1d11:19-26; 13:1\uff09\u4e3b\u8981\u6307\u5c0e\u8005\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u304c\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u3044\u3068\u3053\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3082\u77e5\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\uff08\u30b3\u30ed\u30b5\u30a4\u4eba\u3078\u306e\u624b\u7d194:10\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n So, we can see that Mark and his mother were well acquainted with the leaders of the Early Church. \u3057\u305f\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3068\u305d\u306e\u6bcd\u89aa\u304c\u521d\u671f\u6559\u4f1a\u306e\u6307\u5c0e\u8005\u305f\u3061\u3068\u89aa\u3057\u304f\u4ea4\u6d41\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u308f\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n However, in beginning to look more closely at Mark\u2019s life, I would like to read a couple of interesting Bible verses from the Gospel that he wrote. \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u751f\u6daf\u3092\u3055\u3089\u306b\u8a73\u3057\u304f\u898b\u3066\u3044\u304f\u306b\u3042\u305f\u308a\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u8a18\u3057\u305f\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\u304b\u3089\u8208\u5473\u6df1\u3044\u8056\u53e5\u3092\u3044\u304f\u3064\u304b\u8aad\u307f\u89e3\u3044\u3066\u307f\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Mark 14:51-52\uff08\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\uff11\uff14\u7ae0\uff15\uff11\uff5e\uff15\uff12\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n 51\u00a0<\/sup>A young man was following Him, wearing\u00a0nothing but<\/em>\u00a0a linen sheet over his naked body; and they seized him.\u00a052\u00a0<\/sup>But he\u00a0pulled free of the linen sheet and escaped naked.<\/strong>51<\/sup>\u3068\u304d\u306b\u3001\u3042\u308b\u82e5\u8005\u304c\u8eab\u306b\u4e9c\u9ebb\u5e03\u3092\u307e\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u306e\u3042\u3068\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u884c\u3063\u305f\u304c\u3001\u4eba\u3005\u304c\u5f7c\u3092\u3064\u304b\u307e\u3048\u3088\u3046\u3068\u3057\u305f\u306e\u3067\u300152<\/sup>\u305d\u306e\u4e9c\u9ebb\u5e03\u3092\u6368\u3066\u3066\u3001\u88f8\u3067\u9003\u3052\u3066\u884c\u3063\u305f\u3002<\/strong><\/p>\n Why did I begin by reading these particular verses? \u306a\u305c\u79c1\u306f\u3053\u308c\u3089\u306e\u7279\u5b9a\u306e\u7bc0\u304b\u3089\u8aad\u307f\u59cb\u3081\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n Because most biblical scholars and commentators suppose that this young man was Mark.\u3000\u3000\u307b\u3068\u3093\u3069\u306e\u8056\u66f8\u5b66\u8005\u3084\u89e3\u8aac\u8005\u304c\u3001\u3053\u306e\u82e5\u8005\u304c\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3068\u63a8\u6e2c\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n To understand the context of what is written in these two verses, we must read what is written beforehand. \u3053\u306e\u4e8c\u3064\u306e\u7bc0\u306b\u66f8\u304b\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u6587\u8108\u3092\u7406\u89e3\u3059\u308b\u306b\u306f\u3001\u305d\u306e\u524d\u306b\u66f8\u304b\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3082\u306e\u3092\u8aad\u307e\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n What is written before this is that Jesus was in the Garden of Gethsemane with His disciples (Mark 14:32-42).\u00a0 \u3053\u306e\u524d\u306b\u66f8\u304b\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u306f\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u304c\u5f1f\u5b50\u305f\u3061\u3068\u5171\u306b\u30b2\u30c3\u30bb\u30de\u30cd\u306e\u5712\u306b\u304a\u3089\u308c\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u51fa\u6765\u4e8b\u3067\u3059\uff08\u30de\u30eb\u30b314:32-42\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n Judas Iscariot accompanied by a crowd with swords and clubs,\u00a0who were\u00a0from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders, \u30a4\u30b9\u30ab\u30ea\u30aa\u30c6\u306e\u30e6\u30c0\u306f\u3001\u796d\u53f8\u9577\u3084\u5f8b\u6cd5\u5b66\u8005\u3084\u9577\u8001\u305f\u3061\u306e\u5143\u304b\u3089\u3084\u3063\u3066\u304d\u305f\u5263\u3084\u68cd\u68d2\u3092\u6301\u3063\u305f\u7fa4\u8846\u3092\u4f34\u3063\u3066\u3001<\/p>\n came there, and he betrayed Jesus with a kiss (Mark 14:43-45).\u305d\u3053\u306b\u3084\u3063\u3066\u6765\u3066\u3001\u53e3\u3065\u3051\u3067\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u3092\u88cf\u5207\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u30de\u30eb\u30b314:43-45\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n The kiss being the signal, the crowd laid their hands on Jesus and seized Him (Mark 14:46). \u3000\u305d\u306e\u53e3\u3065\u3051\u304c\u5408\u56f3\u3068\u306a\u308a\u3001\u7fa4\u8846\u306f\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306b\u624b\u3092\u304b\u3051\u3001\u6355\u3089\u3048\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u30de\u30eb\u30b314:46\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n Peter who stood by Jesus drew his sword, and struck the slave of the high priest and cut off his ear (Mark 14:47). \u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306e\u305d\u3070\u306b\u7acb\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u306f\u5263\u3092\u629c\u3044\u3066\u3001\u5927\u796d\u53f8\u306e\u50d5\u3092\u65ac\u308a\u3064\u3051\u3001\u305d\u306e\u8033\u3092\u5207\u308a\u843d\u3068\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u30de\u30eb\u30b314:47\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n After Jesus calmly spoke to the crowd (Mark 14:48-49), it says: And they (the disciples) all left Him and fled. (Mark 14:50)\u3000\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u304c\u843d\u3061\u7740\u3044\u3066\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u8a71\u3057\u305f\u5f8c\u3001\u5f1f\u5b50\u305f\u3061\u306f\u7686\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u3092\u898b\u6368\u3066\u3066\u9003\u3052\u53bb\u3063\u305f\u3002\uff08\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\uff11\uff14\u7ae0\uff15\uff10\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n It was after this that the young man (Mark) who was following Jesus, escaped naked out of fear of being taken away with Jesus. In other words, as the author of this Gospel, Mark in a humble way was saying, \u201cI was there.\u201d \u3000\u3064\u307e\u308a\u3001\u3053\u306e\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\u306e\u8457\u8005\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306f\u3001\u63a7\u3048\u3081\u306b\u300c\u79c1\u306f\u305d\u306e\u5834\u306b\u3044\u305f\u300d\u3068\u8a9e\u3063\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Also, many people suppose that the upper room where Jesus held the last supper just a few hours earlier was at the home owned by Mark\u2019s family. \u307e\u305f\u3001\u591a\u304f\u306e\u4eba\u304c\u63a8\u6e2c\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u304c\u6570\u6642\u9593\u524d\u306b\u6700\u5f8c\u306e\u6669\u9910\u3092\u57f7\u308a\u884c\u3063\u305f\u4e8c\u968e\u306e\u90e8\u5c4b\u306f\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u5bb6\u65cf\u304c\u6240\u6709\u3059\u308b\u5bb6\u306b\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Most likely the same place where they held a prayer meeting as mentioned earlier. The fact that it says that all the disciples left Jesus and fled, The fact that he was wearing only a linen sheet over his naked body, could be likened to a boy going out at night wearing his pajamas. And at least he was a first-hand witness of Jesus\u2019 arrest.\u3000 \u5c11\u306a\u304f\u3068\u3082\u5f7c\u306f\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u69d8\u306e\u902e\u6355\u3092\u76f4\u63a5\u76ee\u6483\u3057\u305f\u8a3c\u4eba\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n This is in itself shows how important he is historically in the proclamation and thus spread of the good news concerning Jesus Christ.\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u4e8b\u5b9f\u81ea\u4f53\u304c\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306b\u95a2\u3059\u308b\u826f\u304d\u77e5\u3089\u305b\u306e\u5ba3\u6559\u3068\u666e\u53ca\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u6b74\u53f2\u7684\u306b\u3044\u304b\u306b\u91cd\u8981\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u304b\u3092\u793a\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Some other interesting things as it relates to Mark\u2019s gospel is that it is considered to be written before the other gospel accounts (Matthew, Luke, and John\u2019s gospels).\u3000 \u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u3088\u308b\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\u306b\u95a2\u9023\u3059\u308b\u4ed6\u306e\u8208\u5473\u6df1\u3044\u70b9\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u4ed6\u306e\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\uff08\u30de\u30bf\u30a4\u3001\u30eb\u30ab\u3001\u30e8\u30cf\u30cd\u306e\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\uff09\u3088\u308a\u3082\u5148\u306b\u66f8\u304b\u308c\u305f\u3068\u8003\u3048\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u3052\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n The majority of New Testament scholars agree in dating the gospel of Mark at A.D. 65-75.\u3000\u3000 Also, the majority voice of the Early Church says that Mark wrote the gospel in Rome.\u3000 \u3000\u3000\u3000\u307e\u305f\u3001\u521d\u671f\u6559\u4f1a\u306e\u5927\u52e2\u306e\u898b\u89e3\u306b\u3088\u308c\u3070\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306f\u30ed\u30fc\u30de\u3067\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\u3092\u8a18\u3057\u305f\u3068\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n What is quite evident is that Mark wrote the gospel for Gentile readers.\u3000 \u6975\u3081\u3066\u660e\u767d\u306a\u306e\u306f\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u304c\u7570\u90a6\u4eba\u8aad\u8005\u3092\u5bfe\u8c61\u306b\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\u3092\u8a18\u3057\u305f\u70b9\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n For he took the time to explain Jewish customs for the readers who may not be familiar with such things.\u3000 \u306a\u305c\u306a\u3089\u5f7c\u306f\u3001\u305d\u3046\u3057\u305f\u4e8b\u67c4\u306b\u4e0d\u6163\u308c\u306a\u8aad\u8005\u306b\u5411\u3051\u3066\u3001\u308f\u3056\u308f\u3056\u30e6\u30c0\u30e4\u306e\u6163\u7fd2\u3092\u8aac\u660e\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u304b\u3089\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n As I started out this message with having us think of possible times of failure or disappointment we may have experienced in our lives, let me return to that thought as it relates to Mark.\u3000\u305d\u306e\u8003\u3048\u3092\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u95a2\u9023\u3065\u3051\u3066\u518d\u3073\u53d6\u308a\u4e0a\u3052\u3066\u307f\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n In order to do this, let us look at a particular passage of Scripture that talks about a time when Mark failed to serve faithfully.\u3000\u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u304c\u5fe0\u5b9f\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u5931\u6557\u3057\u305f\u6642\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u8a9e\u308b\u8056\u66f8\u306e\u3042\u308b\u7b87\u6240\u3092\u898b\u3066\u307f\u307e\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n Acts 15:36-41\uff08\u4f7f\u5f92\u884c\u4f1d\uff11\uff15\u7ae0\uff13\uff16\uff5e\uff14\uff11\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n 36 <\/sup>After some days Paul said to Barnabas, \u201cLet us return and visit the brethren in every city in which we proclaimed the word of the Lord, and see how they are.\u201d 37 <\/sup>Barnabas wanted to take John, called Mark, along with them also. 38 <\/sup>But Paul kept insisting that they should not take him along who had deserted them in Pamphylia and had not gone with them to the work. 39 <\/sup>And there occurred such a sharp disagreement that they separated from one another, and Barnabas took Mark with him and sailed away to Cyprus. 40<\/sup> But Paul chose Silas and left, being committed by the brethren to the grace of the Lord. 41 <\/sup>And he was traveling through Syria and Cilicia, strengthening the churches. So, we see here the early rap on Mark: He was a deserter.\u3000 \u3053\u3053\u3067\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u521d\u671f\u306e\u6279\u5224\u304c\u898b\u3066\u53d6\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002\u5f7c\u306f\u8131\u8d70\u8005\u3060\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Mark had deserted Paul and Barnabas on their first missionary journey (Acts 13:13).\u3000 \u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306f\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3068\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u306e\u6700\u521d\u306e\u4f1d\u9053\u65c5\u884c\u3067\u5f7c\u3089\u3092\u898b\u6368\u3066\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff08\u4f7f\u5f92\u8a00\u884c\u933213:13\uff09\u3002<\/p>\n This bothered Paul so much that it caused a \u201csharp disagreement\u201d between Paul and Barnabas regarding whether Mark should be included in their second missionary journey.\u3000\u3000 \u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u304c\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3092\u6df1\u304f\u60a9\u307e\u305b\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3092\u7b2c\u4e8c\u306e\u4f1d\u9053\u65c5\u884c\u306b\u540c\u884c\u3055\u305b\u308b\u3079\u304d\u304b\u5426\u304b\u3067\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3068\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u306e\u9593\u306b\u300c\u6fc0\u3057\u3044\u8ad6\u4e89\u300d\u3092\u5f15\u304d\u8d77\u3053\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Barnabas desired that Mark, his younger cousin, should accompany them again.\u3000 \u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u306e\u3044\u3068\u3053\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u304c\u518d\u3073\u540c\u884c\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u671b\u3093\u3060\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n So sharp was the contention between Paul and Barnabas that, in the end, Paul departed with Silas while Barnabas took Mark and set sail for his native land of Cyprus.\u3000 \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3068\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u306e\u5bfe\u7acb\u306f\u6fc0\u3057\u304f\u3001\u7d50\u5c40\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u30b7\u30e9\u30b9\u3068\u65c5\u7acb\u3061\u3001\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u306f\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3092\u9023\u308c\u3066\u6545\u90f7\u30ad\u30d7\u30ed\u30b9\u3078\u8239\u51fa\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Luke, the author of Acts, did not weigh in on who was right and who was wrong in the dispute between Paul and Barnabas.\u3000 \u4f7f\u5f92\u884c\u4f1d\u306e\u8457\u8005\u30eb\u30ab\u306f\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3068\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u306e\u8ad6\u4e89\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u3069\u3061\u3089\u304c\u6b63\u3057\u304b\u3063\u305f\u304b\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u5224\u65ad\u3092\u4e0b\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n It was more of a dispute based on personal preference rather than spiritual integrity.\u3000 \u3053\u308c\u306f\u3080\u3057\u308d\u3001\u970a\u7684\u306a\u8aa0\u5b9f\u3055\u3068\u3044\u3046\u3088\u308a\u500b\u4eba\u7684\u306a\u597d\u307f\u306b\u57fa\u3065\u304f\u8ad6\u4e89\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Thus, we are not to look at this disagreement as a good example for those serving in the ministry.\u3000 \u3057\u305f\u304c\u3063\u3066\u3001\u3053\u306e\u610f\u898b\u306e\u76f8\u9055\u3092\u5949\u4ed5\u8005\u305f\u3061\u306e\u826f\u3044\u624b\u672c\u3068\u3057\u3066\u898b\u308b\u3079\u304d\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n Wherever there is contention, someone is wrong, and usually there is wrong on both sides.\u3000\u3000 \u4e89\u3044\u304c\u3042\u308b\u3068\u3053\u308d\u306b\u306f\u5fc5\u305a\u8aa4\u308a\u304c\u3042\u308a\u3001\u901a\u5e38\u306f\u53cc\u65b9\u306b\u904e\u3061\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n We cannot say for certain that both Paul and Barnabas were Spirit-led on this issue.\u3000 \u3000\u3000\u3000\u3000\u3053\u306e\u554f\u984c\u306b\u95a2\u3057\u3066\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3068\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u306e\u53cc\u65b9\u304c\u8056\u970a\u306b\u5c0e\u304b\u308c\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3068\u306f\u65ad\u8a00\u3067\u304d\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n Regardless, we see that Mark had disappointed Paul by leaving him towards the beginning of their first missionary journey together.\u3000 \u3044\u305a\u308c\u306b\u305b\u3088\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u304c\u6700\u521d\u306e\u5171\u540c\u4f1d\u9053\u65c5\u884c\u306e\u521d\u671f\u6bb5\u968e\u3067\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306e\u3082\u3068\u3092\u53bb\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3001\u5f7c\u3092\u5931\u671b\u3055\u305b\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306f\u660e\u3089\u304b\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Yet later on, Paul writes regarding Mark the following things in his epistles:\u3000 \u3057\u304b\u3057\u5f8c\u306b\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u66f8\u7c21\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u3064\u3044\u3066\u6b21\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u8a18\u3057\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\uff1a<\/p>\n Colossians 4:10-11\uff08\u30b3\u30ed\u30b5\u30a4\u4eba\u3078\u306e\u624b\u7d19\uff14\u7ae0\uff11\uff10\uff5e\uff11\uff11\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n 10\u00a0<\/sup>Aristarchus, my\u00a0fellow prisoner, sends you his greetings; and\u00a0also<\/em>\u00a0Barnabas\u2019s cousin Mark (about whom you received\u00a0instructions;\u00a0if he comes to you, welcome him);\u00a011\u00a0<\/sup>and\u00a0also<\/em>\u00a0Jesus who is called Justus; these are the only\u00a0fellow workers for the kingdom of God\u00a0who are from the circumcision, and they have proved to be an encouragement to me. We see that later on in his life, Mark, was considered by Paul to be a fellow worker and useful to him for service.\u3000 So, we are left to wonder what had brought about this change?\u3000 \u3067\u306f\u3001\u3053\u306e\u5909\u5316\u306f\u4f55\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u3082\u305f\u3089\u3055\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n One thing we know is that Barnabas, who was also known as the \u201cSon of Encouragement\u201d (Acts 4:36), took Mark under his wings and trained him.\u3000 \u4e00\u3064\u78ba\u304b\u306a\u306e\u306f\u3001\u300c\u6170\u3081\u306e\u5b50\u300d\uff08\u4f7f\u5f92\u8a00\u884c\u93324:36\uff09\u3068\u3082\u547c\u3070\u308c\u305f\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u304c\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3092\u5e87\u8b77\u3057\u3001\u8a13\u7df4\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3053\u3068\u306a\u306e\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n Eventually, Mark wrote the Gospel of Mark.\u3000 \u3084\u304c\u3066\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306f\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u3088\u308b\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\u3092\u8a18\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n And then, we have the letters that Paul wrote that shows his complete trust in Mark\u2019s usefulness in service to Christ.\u3000 \u3055\u3089\u306b\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306e\u624b\u7d19\u306b\u306f\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u304c\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u3078\u306e\u5949\u4ed5\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u6709\u7528\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3068\u5f7c\u304c\u5b8c\u5168\u306b\u4fe1\u983c\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u793a\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n We also see Mark\u2019s special relation to the apostle Peter as noted in Peter\u2019s first epistle.\u3000\u307e\u305f\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u306e\u7b2c\u4e00\u306e\u624b\u7d19\u306b\u8a18\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u304c\u4f7f\u5f92\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u3068\u7279\u5225\u306a\u95a2\u4fc2\u306b\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3053\u3068\u3082\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Spiritually speaking, Peter referred to Mark as his son. \u970a\u7684\u306b\u8a00\u3048\u3070\u3001\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u306f\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3092\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u606f\u5b50\u3068\u547c\u3093\u3060\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n So, over a course of more than 10 years, Mark had turned away from a life of unfinished business to one of being a useful servant of God. \u3053\u3046\u3057\u306610\u5e74\u4ee5\u4e0a\u306e\u6b73\u6708\u3092\u7d4c\u3066\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306f\u672a\u5b8c\u306e\u8ab2\u984c\u306b\u6e80\u3061\u305f\u4eba\u751f\u304b\u3089\u3001\u795e\u306e\u5f79\u306b\u7acb\u3064\u50d5\u3068\u3057\u3066\u306e\u751f\u304d\u65b9\u3078\u3068\u8ee2\u3058\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n For Mark, becoming a useful servant of God was a very important lesson that he had to learn. \u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u3068\u3063\u3066\u3001\u795e\u306e\u5f79\u306b\u7acb\u3064\u50d5\u3068\u306a\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u304c\u5b66\u3070\u306d\u3070\u306a\u3089\u306a\u304b\u3063\u305f\u975e\u5e38\u306b\u91cd\u8981\u306a\u6559\u8a13\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n In fact, one of the key verses in the Gospel of Mark is found in 10:45. \u5b9f\u969b\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306b\u3088\u308b\u798f\u97f3\u66f8\u306e\u91cd\u8981\u306a\u8056\u53e5\u306e\u4e00\u3064\u306f10\u7ae045\u7bc0\u306b\u898b\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Jesus is addressing His disciples and says: \u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u306f\u5f1f\u5b50\u305f\u3061\u306b\u8a9e\u308a\u304b\u3051\u3001\u3053\u3046\u8a00\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\uff1a<\/p>\n \u201cFor even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.\u201d (Mark 10:45) \u300c\u4eba\u306e\u5b50\u304c\u304d\u305f\u306e\u3082\u3001\u4ed5\u3048\u3089\u308c\u308b\u305f\u3081\u3067\u306f\u306a\u304f\u3001\u4ed5\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u307e\u305f\u591a\u304f\u306e\u4eba\u306e\u3042\u304c\u306a\u3044\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u81ea\u5206\u306e\u547d\u3092\u4e0e\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u3067\u3042\u308b\u300d\u3002\uff08\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\uff11\uff10\u7ae0\uff14\uff15\u7bc0\uff09<\/strong><\/p>\n Mark knew that he must become a servant of God like his Savior and Lord Jesus Christ. \u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306f\u3001\u6551\u3044\u4e3b\u3067\u3042\u308a\u3001\u4e3b\u3067\u3042\u308b\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u3088\u3046\u306b\u3001\u795e\u306e\u50d5\u3068\u306a\u3089\u306d\u3070\u306a\u3089\u306a\u3044\u3068\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n So, what are some lessons we can learn from Mark\u2019s life? \u3067\u306f\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u751f\u6daf\u304b\u3089\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u4f55\u3092\u5b66\u3079\u308b\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n First of all, we can see that Mark\u2019s maturity came from a combination of time and mistakes.\u3000\u3000 \u307e\u305a\u7b2c\u4e00\u306b\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u6210\u719f\u306f\u6642\u9593\u3068\u904e\u3061\u306e\u7a4d\u307f\u91cd\u306d\u304b\u3089\u751f\u307e\u308c\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n It is quite evident for all of us that time is needed for us to mature. \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u304c\u6210\u719f\u3059\u308b\u306b\u306f\u6642\u9593\u304c\u5fc5\u8981\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u8ab0\u306e\u76ee\u306b\u3082\u660e\u3089\u304b\u306a\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n This is something that we see in nature as we observe how plants grow over time. \u3053\u308c\u306f\u81ea\u7136\u754c\u3067\u3082\u898b\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3001\u690d\u7269\u304c\u6642\u9593\u3092\u304b\u3051\u3066\u6210\u9577\u3059\u308b\u69d8\u5b50\u3092\u89b3\u5bdf\u3059\u308c\u3070\u308f\u304b\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n It is also something that we see in watching children grow to be adults. \u307e\u305f\u3001\u5b50\u3069\u3082\u304c\u5927\u4eba\u3078\u3068\u6210\u9577\u3057\u3066\u3044\u304f\u904e\u7a0b\u3092\u898b\u3066\u3082\u660e\u3089\u304b\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n However, it is also important to learn from Mark\u2019s life that his so-called \u201cmistake\u201d was a necessary part of his maturing process. \u3057\u304b\u3057\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3076\u3079\u304d\u91cd\u8981\u306a\u70b9\u306f\u3001\u5f7c\u306e\u3044\u308f\u3086\u308b\u300c\u904e\u3061\u300d\u304c\u6210\u719f\u904e\u7a0b\u306b\u304a\u3044\u3066\u4e0d\u53ef\u6b20\u306a\u8981\u7d20\u3067\u3042\u3063\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n At the same time, we must understand that mistakes are not usually as important as what can be learned from them. \u540c\u6642\u306b\u3001\u904e\u3061\u305d\u306e\u3082\u306e\u3088\u308a\u3082\u3001\u305d\u3053\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3079\u308b\u6559\u8a13\u306e\u65b9\u304c\u901a\u5e38\u306f\u91cd\u8981\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u7406\u89e3\u3057\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n Everyone who has become a master at something has learned from their many mistakes and failures in order to master that thing. \u4f55\u304b\u3092\u6975\u3081\u305f\u4eba\u3005\u306f\u7686\u3001\u305d\u306e\u6280\u8853\u3092\u7fd2\u5f97\u3059\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u6570\u591a\u304f\u306e\u904e\u3061\u3084\u5931\u6557\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3073\u3092\u5f97\u3066\u304d\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n This is evident in students who do better in their classes as the semester goes on and for those who learn to do the work at their jobs more effectively and efficiently over time. \u3053\u306e\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u5b66\u671f\u304c\u9032\u3080\u306b\u3064\u308c\u3066\u6210\u7e3e\u304c\u5411\u4e0a\u3059\u308b\u5b66\u751f\u3084\u3001\u6642\u9593\u306e\u7d4c\u904e\u3068\u3068\u3082\u306b\u4ed5\u4e8b\u3092\u3088\u308a\u52b9\u679c\u7684\u30fb\u52b9\u7387\u7684\u306b\u3053\u306a\u3059\u65b9\u6cd5\u3092\u8eab\u306b\u3064\u3051\u308b\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u3082\u660e\u3089\u304b\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Through Mark\u2019s example, we also learn that effective living is not measured as much by what we accomplish as by what we overcome in order to accomplish it. \u307e\u305f\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u4f8b\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u3001\u52b9\u679c\u7684\u306a\u751f\u304d\u65b9\u306f\u3001\u9054\u6210\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u305d\u306e\u3082\u306e\u3088\u308a\u3082\u3001\u305d\u308c\u3092\u9054\u6210\u3059\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u514b\u670d\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3088\u3063\u3066\u6e2c\u3089\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u5b66\u3073\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n What we are focusing on here is again growth, or the maturing process. \u3053\u3053\u3067\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u304c\u7126\u70b9\u3092\u5f53\u3066\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u306f\u3001\u518d\u3073\u6210\u9577\u3001\u3064\u307e\u308a\u6210\u719f\u306e\u30d7\u30ed\u30bb\u30b9\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n As long as we have breath and are living upon this earth, we are not a finished product. \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u304c\u606f\u3092\u3057\u3066\u3053\u306e\u5730\u4e0a\u306b\u751f\u304d\u3066\u3044\u308b\u9650\u308a\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u5b8c\u6210\u54c1\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n We are to have the perspective that Paul had and wrote about. \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u6301\u3061\u3001\u66f8\u304d\u8a18\u3057\u305f\u8996\u70b9\u3092\u6301\u3064\u3079\u304d\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Ephesians 2:8-10\uff08\u30a8\u30da\u30bd\u4eba\u3078\u306e\u624b\u7d19\uff12\u7ae0\uff18\uff5e\uff11\uff10\u7bc0\uff09<\/p>\n 8\u00a0<\/sup>For\u00a0by grace you have been saved\u00a0through faith; We are to acknowledge God\u2019s gift and work of salvation through Jesus His Son. \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u3001\u5fa1\u5b50\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u305f\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u8cdc\u7269\u3068\u6551\u3044\u306e\u5fa1\u696d\u3092\u8a8d\u3081\u306a\u3051\u308c\u3070\u306a\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n Thus, we have nothing to boast about, and we do not have to get discouraged because of our own failures. What a comfort and encouragement to know that we are God\u2019s workmanship! \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u304c\u795e\u69d8\u306e\u4f5c\u54c1\u3067\u3042\u308b\u3053\u3068\u3092\u77e5\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306f\u3001\u306a\u3093\u3068\u3044\u3046\u6170\u3081\u3067\u3042\u308a\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff01<\/p>\n We are created for good works, which God has prepared beforehand for us to do. \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u5584\u3044\u884c\u3044\u306e\u305f\u3081\u306b\u9020\u3089\u308c\u3066\u304a\u308a\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u305d\u306e\u884c\u3044\u3092\u3042\u3089\u304b\u3058\u3081\u5099\u3048\u3066\u304a\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n finished product yet. \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u307e\u3060\u5b8c\u6210\u54c1\u3067\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n God\u2019s master strokes are still being applied to the canvas of our lives. \u795e\u69d8\u306e\u5927\u3044\u306a\u308b\u7b46\u81f4\u304c\u3001\u4eca\u3082\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u3068\u3044\u3046\u30ad\u30e3\u30f3\u30d0\u30b9\u306b\u65bd\u3055\u308c\u7d9a\u3051\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Thankfully, He does not make mistakes, and He can touch up our mistakes, in making us His masterpiece. \u5e78\u3044\u306a\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u306f\u904e\u3061\u3092\u306a\u3055\u3089\u306a\u3044\u3002\u305d\u3057\u3066\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u3092\u5fa1\u81ea\u8eab\u306e\u5091\u4f5c\u3068\u3059\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u3001\u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306e\u904e\u3061\u3092\u4fee\u6b63\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n rather\u00a0boast\u00a0about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.\u00a010\u00a0<\/sup>Therefore\u00a0I am well content with weaknesses, with\u00a0insults, with\u00a0distresses, with\u00a0persecutions, with\u00a0difficulties,\u00a0for Christ\u2019s sake; for\u00a0when I am weak, then I am strong. Paul was fully aware of his own weaknesses, and I think he learned more and more of his insufficiencies and thus God\u2019s grace as he grew older. \u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u306f\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u5f31\u3055\u3092\u5341\u5206\u306b\u81ea\u899a\u3057\u3066\u304a\u308a\u3001\u5e74\u3092\u91cd\u306d\u308b\u306b\u3064\u308c\u3066\u81ea\u3089\u306e\u4e0d\u5b8c\u5168\u3055\u3001\u3072\u3044\u3066\u306f\u795e\u306e\u6075\u307f\u3092\u307e\u3059\u307e\u3059\u6df1\u304f\u5b66\u3093\u3060\u306e\u3060\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n As already noted, in spite of his earlier dealings with Mark, Paul came to minister with Mark and to value his contributions to the work of God. We don\u2019t know if it was Mark who changed or Paul who changed. \u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u304c\u5909\u308f\u3063\u305f\u306e\u304b\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u304c\u5909\u308f\u3063\u305f\u306e\u304b\u306f\u5206\u304b\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002<\/p>\n Most likely, God had worked to change both of them. \u304a\u305d\u3089\u304f\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u4e8c\u4eba\u3092\u5171\u306b\u5909\u3048\u308b\u305f\u3081\u306b\u50cd\u304b\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u3002<\/p>\n One last thing that we can learn from Mark\u2019s life is that encouragement can change a person\u2019s life. \u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u751f\u6daf\u304b\u3089\u5b66\u3079\u308b\u6700\u5f8c\u306e\u6559\u8a13\u306f\u3001\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u304c\u4eba\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u3092\u5909\u3048\u308b\u3068\u3044\u3046\u3053\u3068\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n How many of you can recall a time when someone encouraged you and that made all the difference in the world? \u8ab0\u304b\u306b\u52b1\u307e\u3055\u308c\u3066\u4eba\u751f\u304c\u4e00\u5909\u3057\u305f\u7d4c\u9a13\u304c\u3042\u308b\u4eba\u306f\u3069\u308c\u304f\u3089\u3044\u3001\u3044\u308b\u3067\u3057\u3087\u3046\u304b\uff1f<\/p>\n Mark had Barnabas in his life. \u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306b\u306f\u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u304c\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n Barnabas encouraged a discouraged young Mark when he needed it most. \u30d0\u30eb\u30ca\u30d0\u306f\u3001\u6700\u3082\u5fc5\u8981\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u6642\u306b\u3001\u843d\u80c6\u3057\u3066\u3044\u305f\u82e5\u3044\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u3092\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n At the same time, Mark also received encouragement from Paul and Peter as he continued to serve the Lord. \u540c\u6642\u306b\u3001\u30de\u30eb\u30b3\u306f\u4e3b\u306b\u4ed5\u3048\u7d9a\u3051\u308b\u4e2d\u3067\u3001\u30d1\u30a6\u30ed\u3068\u30da\u30c6\u30ed\u304b\u3089\u3082\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n We all need encouragement, and it comes to us in different ways. \u79c1\u305f\u3061\u306f\u7686\u3001\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u3092\u5fc5\u8981\u3068\u3057\u3066\u304a\u308a\u3001\u305d\u308c\u306f\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u5f62\u3067\u4e0e\u3048\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n I have a couple of men in my life who continue to encourage me on a regular basis through notes written to me and meeting and praying with me. \u79c1\u306e\u4eba\u751f\u306b\u306f\u3001\u624b\u7d19\u3092\u66f8\u304d\u3001\u5171\u306b\u4f1a\u3044\u3001\u7948\u308a\u306a\u304c\u3089\u5b9a\u671f\u7684\u306b\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u7d9a\u3051\u3066\u304f\u308c\u308b\u7537\u6027\u304c\u4e8c\u4eba\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n They are Bruce Koike and John Lee. \u5f7c\u3089\u306f\u30d6\u30eb\u30fc\u30b9\u30fb\u30b3\u30a4\u30b1\u3068\u30b8\u30e7\u30f3\u30fb\u30ea\u30fc\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Bruce has known me since I was a small child growing up in this church\u2019s Sunday School. \u30d6\u30eb\u30fc\u30b9\u306f\u79c1\u304c\u5e7c\u3044\u9803\u304b\u3089\u3053\u306e\u6559\u4f1a\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u5b66\u6821\u3067\u80b2\u3064\u79c1\u306e\u59ff\u3092\u77e5\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n John has known me since I was in college and used to disciple me. \u30b8\u30e7\u30f3\u306f\u79c1\u304c\u5927\u5b66\u751f\u306e\u9803\u304b\u3089\u306e\u77e5\u308a\u5408\u3044\u3067\u3001\u304b\u3064\u3066\u79c1\u3092\u5f1f\u5b50\u3068\u3057\u3066\u5c0e\u3044\u3066\u304f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n They both still \u201clook out for me\u201d and give me encouragement. \u4e8c\u4eba\u3068\u3082\u4eca\u3082\u79c1\u3092\u898b\u5b88\u308a\u3001\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u7d9a\u3051\u3066\u304f\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n Even as a pastor, with a calling from God to the work of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, I sometimes feel discouraged and feel like quitting. \u7267\u5e2b\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3001\u30a4\u30a8\u30b9\u30fb\u30ad\u30ea\u30b9\u30c8\u306e\u798f\u97f3\u306e\u50cd\u304d\u306b\u795e\u304b\u3089\u53ec\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u308b\u79c1\u3067\u3055\u3048\u3001\u6642\u306b\u306f\u843d\u80c6\u3057\u3001\u8f9e\u3081\u305f\u3044\u3068\u601d\u3046\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n I can recall two incidences when God used \u201cstrangers\u201d to encourage me at such times. \u305d\u3093\u306a\u6642\u3001\u795e\u69d8\u304c\u300c\u898b\u77e5\u3089\u306c\u4eba\u300d\u3092\u901a\u3057\u3066\u79c1\u3092\u52b1\u307e\u3057\u3066\u304f\u3060\u3055\u3063\u305f\u4e8c\u3064\u306e\u51fa\u6765\u4e8b\u3092\u601d\u3044\u51fa\u3057\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n On a Sunday that I felt particularly discouraged, after the worship service, a man that I had met previously came to thank me. \u7279\u306b\u843d\u3061\u8fbc\u3093\u3067\u3044\u305f\u3042\u308b\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u306e\u793c\u62dd\u5f8c\u3001\u4ee5\u524d\u304a\u4f1a\u3044\u3057\u305f\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3042\u308b\u7537\u6027\u304c\u611f\u8b1d\u3092\u4f1d\u3048\u306b\u6765\u3066\u304f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n The story of this man is that he was extremely drunk on the day that I had met him in the church office. \u3053\u306e\u7537\u6027\u306f\u3001\u6559\u4f1a\u4e8b\u52d9\u6240\u3067\u521d\u3081\u3066\u304a\u4f1a\u3044\u3057\u305f\u65e5\u3001\u3072\u3069\u304f\u9154\u3063\u3071\u3089\u3063\u3066\u3044\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n I listened to his story and then prayed for him. \u79c1\u306f\u5f7c\u306e\u8a71\u306b\u8033\u3092\u50be\u3051\u3001\u305d\u306e\u5f8c\u3001\u7948\u308a\u3092\u6367\u3052\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n When he came back that Sunday, which was a few weeks later, he told me that after meeting with me, \u6570\u9031\u9593\u5f8c\u306e\u305d\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u306b\u5f7c\u304c\u623b\u3063\u3066\u304d\u305f\u6642\u3001\u79c1\u306b\u3053\u3046\u544a\u3052\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002\u79c1\u3068\u4f1a\u3063\u305f\u5f8c\u3001<\/p>\n he fell asleep on the street, and then was picked up and was able to go through detox and rehab treatment.\u5f7c\u306f\u8def\u4e0a\u3067\u7720\u308a\u8fbc\u3093\u3067\u3057\u307e\u3044\u3001\u4fdd\u8b77\u3055\u308c\u3066\u30c7\u30c8\u30c3\u30af\u30b9\u306e\u6cbb\u7642\u3068\u30ea\u30cf\u30d3\u30ea\u6cbb\u7642\u3092\u53d7\u3051\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u305f\u3068\u3002<\/p>\n On that Sunday, he didn\u2019t even attend the worship service, but met me in the foyer as I was greeting people, and took the time to thank me. \u305d\u306e\u65e5\u66dc\u65e5\u3001\u5f7c\u306f\u793c\u62dd\u306b\u51fa\u5e2d\u305b\u305a\u3001\u79c1\u304c\u4eba\u3005\u306b\u6328\u62f6\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u30ed\u30d3\u30fc\u3067\u79c1\u3092\u898b\u3064\u3051\u3001\u308f\u3056\u308f\u3056\u611f\u8b1d\u306e\u8a00\u8449\u3092\u4f1d\u3048\u3066\u304f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n At another time when I was very discouraged, a person on the street came to me while I was working in the church office. \u5225\u306e\u6642\u3001\u79c1\u304c\u3072\u3069\u304f\u843d\u3061\u8fbc\u3093\u3067\u3044\u308b\u3068\u3001\u6559\u4f1a\u306e\u4e8b\u52d9\u5ba4\u3067\u50cd\u3044\u3066\u3044\u308b\u79c1\u306b\u901a\u308a\u3059\u304c\u308a\u306e\u4eba\u304c\u8fd1\u3065\u3044\u3066\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n He asked me if I could drive him to Grossmont Hospital, so I did.\u5f7c\u306f\u79c1\u306b\u30b0\u30ed\u30b9\u30e2\u30f3\u30c8\u75c5\u9662\u307e\u3067\u8eca\u3067\u9001\u3063\u3066\u304f\u308c\u306a\u3044\u304b\u3068\u983c\u307e\u308c\u3001\u79c1\u306f\u305d\u3046\u3059\u308b\u3053\u3068\u306b\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n As he was getting out of the car, he placed his hand on me and prayed an amazing prayer of blessing over me.\u305d\u3057\u3066\u5f7c\u304c\u8eca\u304b\u3089\u964d\u308a\u308b\u969b\u3001\u79c1\u306b\u624b\u3092\u7f6e\u3044\u3066\u9a5a\u304f\u3079\u304d\u795d\u798f\u306e\u7948\u308a\u3092\u6367\u3052\u3066\u304f\u308c\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n I thought to myself, \u201cWho is blessing who?!\u201d \u79c1\u306f\u5fc3\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002\u300c\u4e00\u4f53\u8ab0\u304c\u8ab0\u3092\u795d\u798f\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3093\u3060\uff1f\uff01\u300d<\/p>\n I would not have been able to continue to serve the Lord as I am doing now as a pastor without the prayers and encouragement of so many people.
