世界中にアニメを配信しているスタジオジブリのプロデューサーの鈴木敏夫さんは出社しますと、まず掃除をするそうです。
鈴木さんはニヤニヤしながら言います。「仕事っていうのは、結局のところ掃除でしょ」。
「仕事をかたづける」と言われるように、確かに仕事はかたづけること。取り組んでいることが成し遂げられ、目の前から一つ一つなくなっていくことは気分がいいもので、心が整えられます。
主が私達に託してくださった仕事を日々、心をこめて、主イエスに仕えるようにして片づけていきましょう。私達が主に仕えるように人に仕えるという機会は私達の回りに常にあります。今日、この礼拝が終わって、皆さんがその席を立った時から、主はその機会を与えてくれます。そして、そのことに従事する時に一番、祝福されるのは私達自身なのです。

新しい出発（６）：労働を見直す

これまで二回の日曜日をかけて二つの優先事項についてお話ししてきました。
もし、私達が神を第一として生きていくなら、この世で一番愛したいと願っている人達を、今よりももっとよく愛せるようになる。
第一のものを第一とする時に、第二のものは抑えつけられるのではなく、むしろ、ひろがっていく。そして、その第二優先は人間であり、命なきものは人間以上のものとすべきではないということをお話しました。
そして、今日お話します第三番目のことは「労働」ということです。イエス・キリストは父ヨセフがそうであったようにカーペンターであったと言います。
労働を知るお方の口からは多くの譬え話が語られましたが、その多くは労働に関することであったということを知る時に私達は驚きます。イエス様の話は私達の実生活からかけ離れたものではなく、実際の生活の中で聞くべきことなのです。
私達は皆、ある世界観をもってこの世界を見ています。当然、その観方によって、私達の日々の生活や人生というものが変わってきます。
私は常々、クリスチャン信仰を持つということは、新しい価値観を持って人生を生き直すことなのだと思っています。それまでの人間観、家族観、夫婦間、死生観、そして労働感を天来の光に照らして受け止め直すということです。
人は皆、無に帰して死に向かうものだと自分の人生を観ているのなら、私達は虚しさと、束の間、その虚しさを埋め合わすことに目を向けて生きることになるでしょう。それに対して私達は日々、神により栄光から栄光へと変えられていく、
そして、私達のハイライトは死んでからやってくるという聖書の約束に立っていくのなら、そのことは私達の生き方に反映されることでしょう。
皆さんの中には明日、仕事場に向かわれる方がおりますでしょう。コロナにより、在宅でデスクに向かわれる方もいますでしょう。働くということは必ずしも給料を受け取るということではありません。山積みの食器を前に立つ時、家族の靴を一つ一つ洗う時、子供のダイバーを変える時、それは大切な働きです。
私達の人生というものが、公私共に日々の労働によって成り立っているとするのなら、私達が労働というものをどのように観ているのかということが私達の人生に与える影響はとても大きいと思うのですが、皆さんはどう思われますか。
今日は聖書が言うところの労働観というものを見ていきたいと思うのです。まず第一に「労働には苦労が伴う」ということをみていきましょう。
最初の書、創世記３章１７節‐１９節にはこのような労働に対する現実が書かれています。
更に（神は）人に言われた「あなたが妻の言葉を聞いて、食べるなと、わたしが命じた木から取って食べたので、地はあなたのためにのろわれ、あなたは一生、苦しんで地から食物を取る。地はあなたのために、いばらとあざみとを生じ、あなたは野の草を食べるであろう。あなたは顔に汗してパンを食べ、ついに土に帰る。あなたは土から取られたのだから、あなたは塵だから、塵に帰る」。
ご存知のように、この聖書記事は最初の男女アダムとイブが罪を犯した後に神から宣告された言葉です。神様はアダムとイブが罪を犯す前から、彼らに地を耕させていました。
すなわち、彼らは神が彼らに与えられた使命のもと既に働いていたのです。しかし、彼らが罪を犯すことにより労働に苦労がともなうようになりました。
彼らは作物の収穫を望んでいるのに、彼らが願っているような収穫が得られない。それどころか、その農作業の大きな障害となるような茨とあざみとが地から生えてくるというのです。
ローマ８章に書かれていますことを私たちは知っています。
20なぜなら、被造物が虚無に服したのは、自分の意志によるのではなく、服従させたかたによるのであり、21かつ、被造物自身にも、滅びのなわめから解放されて、神の子たちの栄光の自由に入る望みが残されているからである（ローマ８章２０節ー２１節）。
虚無に服している被造物は時に私達が期待するものを産出することなく、禍すら私達にもたらすのです。
そして、この労働において、一番、私達を悩ますのは人間です。多くの仕事には人間が関わるゆえに、私達は仕事の人間関係に悩みます。何を隠そう、私達自身が誰かの仕事の妨げや悩みの種となっているかも知れないのです。これもいうまでもなく、私達が罪の中に生きる者であるがゆえに、生じることなのです。
これが労働の現実なのであり、そのことを聖書は既にその最初に記しているのです。でも、それなら私達はこの労働の苦しみというものを宿命として背負い続ける以外にないのでしょうか。
２つ目のことをお話しします。それは「労働には使命が伴う」ということです。創世記１章２６節から２８節を拝読します。
神はまた言われた「われわれのかたちに、われわれにかたどって人を造り、これに海の魚と、空の鳥と、家畜と、地のすべての獣と、地のすべての這うものとを治めさせよう」神は自分のかたちに人を創造された。すなわち、神のかたちに創造し、男と女とに創造された。神は彼らを祝福して言われた、「生めよ、増えよ、地に満ちよ、地を従わせよ。また海の魚と、空の鳥と、地に動くすべての生き物とを治めよ」。創世記１章２６節－２８節
このところには神が最初の人を創造された様が書かれており、その人間に対してただ気ままに好きな事をして一日を過ごしなさいと神は言われていません。そうではなく神様は「海の魚と、空の鳥と、家畜と、地のすべての獣と、地のすべての這うものとを治めよ」と言われました。
このような勧めを神様は人を創造されたすぐ後に言われていることは特筆すべきことです。すなわち神様は人を造られた矢先に、その使命、すなわち私達人間が働くべき存在であるということを示しているのです。
ここに私達人間が優先すべき順位の上位に労働（仕事）というものがくる所以があります。この創世記ですが後の２章５節を見ます時にこうとも書かれています。
「主なる神が地と天とを造られた時、地にはまだ野の木もなく、また野の草もはえていなかった。主なる神が地に雨を降らせず、また土を耕す人もなかったからである」。
神様は人に土地を耕すことを望まれました。そのことはこの後の１５節にも書かれています。
「主なる神は人を連れて行って、エデンの園に置き、これを耕させ、これを守らせた」
今日、野菜を生産している方々は自分の所有する土地に勝手に生えてきた野菜を適当に収穫して出荷しているのではありません。その生産の背後には耕し育てるという人間の行為が伴うのです。
聖書のあちこちを見て行きます時に、私達は聖書が「仕事」や「労働」というものに数多く言及していることに気がつきます。それらを通して、私達は「仕事・労働」というものが、神の目から見て崇高なものであり、私達人間はこれらに積極的に関わることを神が求めておられる、それが神の御心であるのだということが分かるのです。
ヨハネ１５章１６節－１７節においてイエス・キリストは言われました。
「あなたがたが私を選んだのではない。わたしがあなたがたを選んだのである。そして、あなたがたを立てた。それは、あなたがたが行って実を結び、その実がいつまでも残るためであり、また、あなたがたがわたしの名によって父に求めるものはなんでも、父が与えてくださるためである。これらのことを命じるのは、あなたがたが互いに愛し合うためである」
また続く１７章１８節において言われました。
「あなたが私を世につかわされたように、私も彼らを世につかわしました」
英国人で聖書をギリシャ語・ヘブライ語原典から初めて英語に翻訳したウイリアム・ティンダルは言いました。神を喜ばせるのに、ある労働が他の労働にまさるということはない。水を注ぐこと、皿を洗うこと、靴直しになること、使徒であることは、一つのことなのです」
私達が自分の仕事を嫌々し続けるのと、その仕事は違っても神様が日々、私を一日の仕事へと遣わしているのだ、その仕事を使命として私に与えておられるのだと受け止めるのかでは雲泥の差がでてくるのです。
最後のことを見ていきましょう。それは「労働には喜びとやりがいが伴う」ということです。労働は私達に与えられた使命です。しかし、今、お話しましたように、この世界ではとてもそのように思えない時があるということも事実です。仕事には苦痛が伴い、つまらなく、意味がないものに思われることもあります。
しかし、それは神が本来、意図された労働ではないのです。
私達の労働に喜びが伴うためには、罪のゆえに歪められてしまった仕事をもう一度本来の姿に回復させる必要がありますすなわち、罪からの赦しと解放がイエス・キリストによってなされるのであるならば、労働の苦しみからの回復もこのキリストによって成されていくのです。
私達は神が元々、意図された本来の労働のあり方に引き戻す必要があるのです。それでは、キリストにあって、本来の仕事を取り戻すということはどういうことでしょうか。その模範をイエス様は自ら示されました。ヨハネ１３章１節から５節を読みましょう。
過越しの祭りの前に、イエスは、この世を去って父のみもとに行くべき自分の時がきたことを知り、世にいる自分の者たちを愛して、彼らを最後まで愛し通された。夕食の時、悪魔はすでにシモンの子イスカリオテのユダの心に、イエスを裏切ろうとする思いを入れていたが、イエスは父が全てのものを自分の手にお与えになったこと、また、自分は神から出てきて、神にかえろうとしていることを思い、夕食の席から立ち上がって、上着を脱ぎ、手ぬぐいをとって腰に巻き、それから水をたらいに入れて、弟子達の足を洗い、腰に巻いた手ぬぐいでふき始められた。
この過越しの祭りの前の日にイエスがその弟子達にした行為というのは、当時の労働でした。その仕事は誰によってなされたかといいますと、それは奴隷がする仕事でした。それを奴隷ではない、イエスが自分の弟子達のために手をぬかずに一生懸命になさったのです。
そして、これこそが本来の仕事の回復なのです。自分に与えられている仕事は神からのものであり、それが天職であるという感覚をいつも新鮮に持ち続けることと、そして、この仕事を通して私は神と人に仕えるために召されているということを自覚する時に私達の仕事がいかなるものであっても、そこに喜びとやりがいが回復されるのです。皆さん、私達のしている仕事において、喜びとかやりがいを感じる時はどんな時でしょうか。
以前、家内の実家の大分の佐伯という町に行った時、義理の弟に会いました。彼はカメラメーカーのキャノンで税関の書類を整えたり、実際にその出荷行程にも関わって日夜、一生懸命に働いています。
実は大分県佐伯市はこのキャノンの会長、御手洗冨士夫（みたらいふじお）さんの出身地でありまして、それもあってか大分にはキャノンの大きな工場があるのです。ご存知の方は少ないかと思うのですが、私達が米国で手に入れているキャノンカメラのほぼ全てはこの大分工場から出荷されているというのです。
当時、我が家ではデジカメもビデオカメラもキャノンを使っていましたし、米国でもその製品は高く評価されているよと彼に伝えたのです。それはお世辞ではなく本心からなのです。
おそらくその出荷の現場に立っている彼には顧客の姿は見えないでしょう。でも、そう話したら彼は嬉しそうな顔をしていました。
自分のために給料が上がることは嬉しいでしょうし、有給休暇が増えることも嬉しいでしょうが、仕事において一番、私達の心に喜びを届けてくれることは、誰かが自分の仕事を喜んでくれているということにあるのです。
資生堂の社長、また後に会長になられた池田守男さんという人がいました。池田さんは２０１３年に召されましたが、池田さんはかつて牧師になろうとして東京神学大学を卒業した異色の経営者でした。
当時の資生堂ではどの企業にもあるように経営状況の悪化や改革しなければならない転機があり、その改革のリーダーとして活躍したのが池田守男さんでした。
その時に池田さんがかかげた経営理念は「サーバントリーダーシップ」というもので、その名が示すように上に立つ者、リーダーこそ、僕として隣人に仕えなければならないというものでした。
池田さんのプロファイルには好きな言葉として聖書の「受けるよりは与える方が幸いである」とあり、なるほどと思いました。言うまでもなく、池田さんの経営理念はイエス・キリストが１２弟子に伝えた重要なメッセージの一つだったのです。
会社の組織図は、社長をトップとするピラミッド型ではなく、最下部に社長が位置する、逆ピラミッド型になったというのです。そして、それによって業績が伸びたというのです。なぜなら、そうすることによって社長を始め、この組織の中にいる人達が人に仕える喜びというものを知ったからです。
イエス・キリストはマタイ２０章２５節－２８節で言われました。
「あなたがたの知っているとおり、異邦人の支配者たちはその民を治め、また偉い人たちは、その民の上に権力をふるっている。あなたがたの間ではそうであってはならない。かえって、あなたがたの間で偉くなりたいと思う者は、仕える人となり、あなたがたの間で頭になりたいと思う者は、僕とならねばならない。それは、人の子がきたのも、仕えられるためではなく、仕えるためであり、また多くの人のあがないとして、自分の命を与えるためであるのと、ちょうど同じである」マタイ２０章２５節－２８節。
コロサイ書はこう記しています。
何をするにも、人に対してではなく、主に対してするように、心から働きなさい。あなたがた知っているとおり、あなたがたは御国をつぐことを、報いとして主から受けるであろう。あなたがたは、主キリストに仕えているのである。コロサイ３章２３節－２４節
どんな仕事をしているのかは問題ではありません。それがどんな仕事であっても私達はそれらを神様から託されているという使命に立つ時に、確かにそこには苦労があるけれども、主に仕えるように私達が人に仕えていく時に、私達の心には喜びとやりがいが起きてくるのです。
想像してみてください、もし皆さんの部下が主に仕えるように人に仕えていたら、あなたはその部下を放っておきますか。あなたは彼、彼女にさらに多くのチャンスを与え、彼らは祝福されることでしょう。
我が家ではいつも皿洗いを誰がやるかということが話し合われます。その時の各々の心境たるや、それはあのエルサレムの二階座敷のようです。
俺は宿題がある、私は疲れている。自分がすべきではないと思われる理由を各自が持っています。強いられていやいやキッチンに立つのなら、その時間は心身にいいものではないでしょう。
しかし、強いられずに主体的にキッチンに立つのなら、私達はその１５分の間、汚れていた食器がピカピカになるという達成感を味わうことができるでしょう。

主にある皆さん、主が私達に託してくださった仕事を日々、心をこめて、主イエスに仕えるようにして片づけていきませんか。私達が主に仕えるように人に仕えるという機会は私達の回りに常にあります。今日、この礼拝が終わって、皆さんがその席を立った時から、主はその機会を与えてくれます。
そして、そのことに従事する時に一番、祝福されるのは本人なのです。「受けるより、与える方が幸いである」と私達の模範なる主イエスは言われたのですから。お祈りしましょう。
New Beginnings (6): Rethinking Labor

Over the past two Sundays, I have preached about two priorities. If we live our lives putting God first, we will be able to love those we most desire to love in this world better than we do now. When the first is made first, the second is not suppressed, but rather, expanded.
I talked about how our second priority is people, and that lifeless things should not be valued more than human beings. And the third thing I will talk about today is labor.
Jesus Christ was a carpenter, just as His father Joseph was. We know that Jesus worked, but we are surprised when we learn that many parables were about labor.
Jesus’ stories are not far removed from us but are stories we should listen to in the context of our real lives. Each of us have a worldview, from which we perceive the world.
Naturally, the way we view the world changes the way we live our daily lives. I have always believed that to have the Christian faith is to live life anew, with a new set of values. It means to reconsider our perspective on people, family, marriage, life/death, and work, in light of heavenly wisdom.
If we view our own lives as a journey towards nothingness in death, our focus will be to make up for that emptiness in the short time we have. If on the other hand, we stand on the biblical promise that we will be transformed by God daily, from glory to glory,
and that the highlight of our lives will come after we die, then this will be reflected in the way we live.
Some of you will be heading to work tomorrow. Some of you will be at your desks at home due to remote work. Work is not always compensated with a salary. Standing in front of a pile of dishes, washing the family’s shoes one by one, or changing a child’s diaper is important work.
If our lives are made up of daily labor, both public and private, then how we view labor has a great impact on our lives.
Today I would like to look at what the Bible says on labor. First of all, let us look at the fact that “labor entails hardship”. The first book, Genesis 3:17-19 describes this reality of labor.
17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. 18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”
As you know, these verses are the words pronounced by God after the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, sinned. God had Adam and Eve tilling the earth before they had sinned.
That is, they were already working under the mission God had given them. But when they sinned, their labor became a hardship.
They want a harvest of crops, but they don’t get the kind of harvest they are hoping for. On the contrary, the thorns and thistles grow out of the earth, which become a great obstacle to their agricultural work.
We know what Romans 8 says. 20 For the creation was subjected to frustration, not by its own choice, but by the will of the one who subjected it, in hope 21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the freedom and glory of the children of God (Romans 8:20-21).
Often, creation that is subjected to frustration does not produce what we expect it to produce, but even bring us disasters.
And in this labor, it is people who trouble us the most. Because most work involves people, we are troubled by work relationships.。We ourselves may be the cause of someone else’s problems or be hindrances to their work. Needless to say, this happens because we are living in sin.
This is the reality of labor, and the Bible has already written about it at the very beginning. But then, do we have no choice but to continue to bear this suffering of labor as our destiny?
The second thing I would like to share with you is that “with labor comes a mission”. Let me read you Genesis 1:26-28.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” 27 So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. 28 God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”
It describes God’s creation of the first man, and God does not tell that man to just go about his day doing whatever he pleases. Rather, God said, “Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”.
It is noteworthy that God made these commands shortly after He created man. In other words, God indicates his mission for us, namely, that we human beings are made to work, right after he created mankind.
This is the reason why labor (work) is placed high among priorities for us human beings. In the following verse in Genesis chapter 2, it says this,
“5 Now no shrub had yet appeared on the earth and no plant had yet sprung up, for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no one to work the ground, “
God wanted man to cultivate the land. This is also stated later in verse 15:”The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it”.
Today, farmers do not just harvest and ship vegetables that happen to grow on their land. Behind the production comes the human act of cultivating and nurturing.
As we look throughout the Bible, we notice that it makes numerous references to “work” and “labor. Through them, we understand that “work” and “labor” are noble in God’s eyes, and that God requires us human beings to be actively involved in them, which is His will. In John 15:16-17, Jesus Christ said
16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. 17 This is my command: Love each other.
In the following chapter, John 17:18, he said.
18 As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world.
William Tyndall, an Englishman who was the first to translate the Bible from its Greek and Hebrew originals into English, said, “No one labor is better than another in pleasing God. Pouring water, washing dishes, being a shoe mender, and being an apostle are one thing”.
There is a difference between continuing to hate our work and accepting that God is sending me to do a day’s work every day, even if that work is different, and that He has given me that work as a mission.”
Let us look at the last thing. It is that “labor is joyful and rewarding”. Labor is the mission that we have been given.
However, as we have just seen, it is also true that there are times in this world when it doesn’t seem that way. Work can seem painful, boring, and meaningless.
But that is not the labor God originally intended.
In order for our labor to be joyful, work that has been distorted by sin needs to be restored once again to its original state. In other words, if forgiveness and deliverance from sin is through Jesus Christ, then recovery from the suffering of labor is also accomplished through Him.
We need to be brought back to the way God originally intended labor to be. What does it mean to recover our original work in Christ? Jesus himself set the example. Let us read John 13:1-5.
13 It was just before the Passover Festival. Jesus knew that the hour had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end.2 The evening meal was in progress, and the devil had already prompted Judas, the son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God; 4 so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples’ feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
What Jesus did for the disciples on the day before the Passover was an act of labor. At that time, this labor of washing feet was done by slaves. Jesus, who was not a slave, worked intently to wash his disciples’ feet.
This, is the restoration of original work. When we keep fresh in our minds, and hold on to the sense that the work we are given is from God and that it is our calling, and when we realize that through this work we are called to serve God and others, then whatever our work may be, it will be restored to joy and fulfillment. What are the times when you feel joy and satisfaction in your work?
When I visited my wife’s family in the town of Saiki, Oita, I met my brother-in-law.
He works hard day and night for Canon-a camera manufacturer, preparing customs documents and being involved in the shipping process.
In fact, Saiki City in Oita Prefecture is the birthplace of Canon’s chairman, Fujio Mitarai, which is probably why there is a large Canon factory in Oita. Not many people know this, but almost all the Canon cameras we get in the U.S. are shipped from this Oita factory.
At the time, we used Canon for both digital cameras and video cameras, and I told him that their products were highly regarded in the US. I was not flattering but being sincere.
He probably does not see his customers face as he works at the shipment site. But he looked happy when I told him so.
You may be happy to get a pay raise for yourself, and you may be happy to get more paid vacations, but the most important thing in work that brings joy to our hearts, is when someone is happy with your work.
There was a man named Morio Ikeda who became the president and later the chairman of the company Shiseido. Ikeda-san passed away in 2013, but he was a unique businessman who once graduated from Tokyo Theological University with the intention of becoming a pastor.
At that time Shiseido, like any other company, faced a decline and thus a turning point that necessitated reform, and Mr. Morio Ikeda was the leader of that reform.
At that time, Mr. Ikeda’s management philosophy was “Servant Leadership,” and as the name suggests, those who stand on top and are leaders must serve their neighbors as servants.
In his profile, Mr. Ikeda’s favorite quote is from the Bible, “It is more blessed to give than to receive,” which made sense to me. Ikeda-san’s management philosophy was one of the key messages that Jesus Christ passed on to His 12 disciples.
The company’s organizational chart is no longer a pyramid with the president at the top, but an inverted pyramid with the president at the bottom. The company’s performance increased as a result of this change. Because by doing so, the president and others in this organization ha learned the joy of serving others.
Jesus Christ said in Matthew 20:25-28. 25 Jesus called them together and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their high officials exercise authority over them. 26 Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant, 27 and whoever wants to be first must be your slave— 28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
The book of Colossians states. 23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.
t does not matter what kind of work you are doing. When we live out the mission that God has entrusted to us, no matter what kind of work it is, there will certainly be hardship, but when we serve others as we serve the Lord, our hearts will be filled with joy and fulfillment.
Imagine, if your subordinates’ served others as they serve the Lord, would you leave them alone? You will give them even more opportunities and they will be blessed by it.
In my family, we always discuss who will do the dishes. It is just like the second floor in Jerusalem.
I have homework, I am tired. Each of us has our own reasons why we think we should not do it. If you are forced to work in the kitchen, that time is not good for your body and mind.
But if we are not forced to stand in the kitchen, but wash the dishes by our own inclination, we can enjoy the sense of accomplishment of having our dirty dishes sparkling clean for that 15-minute period.

There are always opportunities around us to serve others as we serve the Lord. The Lord will give you that opportunity from the moment you leave your seats at the end of this service today.And the person who engages in this, is the most blessed.
Because “It is more blessed to give than to receive” said the Lord Jesus, our role model. Let us pray.
