私が死んで、セミタリーに埋葬されたとします。埋葬三日後、朝早く、妻がしばしの間、私の墓の前にたたずみます。そして、墓を後にしようとする時・・・。その時、復活した私が妻の前に現れたら、最初に私は何と言うでしょうか。両手を挙げて「よみがえったぞ〜！」と言うことでしょう。あるいは言葉で表現できずにガッツポーズで妻に近づき彼女を抱きしめるでしょう。私達の主、イエス・キリストは「その時」にこう、言われました。
「おはよう」
普通、この状況で「おはよう」と言いますか？この状況は人類が誰も経験したことのない前代未聞の状況です。「その時」とは、イエス様の両手両足に釘が撃ち込まれ、十字架に磔にされ殺され、死んで葬られてから三日後の時です。その時、私達は毎朝、取り交わしている「おはよう」というような言葉をはたして言うだろうか！そう、「おはよう」は特別な挨拶ではなく、日常的な、習慣的な挨拶なのです。
大抵の場合、「おはよう」の前に私達は「一夜の睡眠」をとっています。そうです、この言葉は眠って起きた後の言葉なのです。ということは、こういうことです。イエス様が槍で最後のひと突きをされた後のことを私達は「イエス様が死んでしまった」と言います。しかし、このことはイエス様の側から言えば「イエス様が眠りにつかれた」ということになるのです・・・。

「おはよう！」から始まるイースター

おはようございます。グッドモーニング、チョウンアチン（韓国語）、ブエノスディアス。今日はイースターの朝です。今、私は皆さんに「ハッピーイースター」とは言わずに「おはよう」と挨拶しました。今日はその理由をお話ししましょう。
私達の教会では使徒信条を一節ずつ見ています。神様のお導きでしょう、今日の使徒信条は「死にて葬られ、黄泉に下り、三日目によみがえり」であり、ぴったりとイースターと重なりました。
イエス様が死んで葬られてから三日目の朝、二人の女性がイエス様の納められていた墓に行きました。すると地震があり、墓を塞いでいた大きな石が転がされ、御使いが天から降りてきて、彼女達にイエス様が復活されたことを告げたと聖書は記録しています。驚いた彼女達は弟子達にそのことを伝えるために走り出すと、なんと彼女達は、その当人のイエス・キリストに出会ったというのです。その時のことをマタイが記録しています。
マタイ２８章８節―９節 そこで、彼女たちは、恐ろしくはあったが大喜びで、急いで墓を離れ、弟子たちに知らせに走って行った。すると、イエスが彼女たちに出会って、「おはよう」と言われた。彼女たちは近寄って御足を抱いてイエスを拝んだ。（新改訳聖書）
その時にイエス様は開口一番、彼女達に何と言われましたか。「その時」とは、イエス様の両手両足に釘が撃ち込まれ、十字架に磔にされ殺され、死んで葬られてから三日後の時です。イエス・キリストは彼女たちに向かい「おはよう」と言いました・・・。

今、これを聞いている皆さん、皆さんの心はこの「おはよう」という挨拶にどう反応しましたか？この状況は人類が誰も経験したことのない前代未聞の状況です。
その時、私達は毎朝、取り交わしている「おはよう」というような言葉をはたして言うでしょうか！皆さん、朝から興奮して「おはよう」と言っていますか。家族は「朝からそのテンション、やめてくれ！」と言うでしょう。
そう、「おはよう」は特別な挨拶ではなく、日常的な、習慣的な挨拶です。大抵の場合、「おはよう」の前に私達は「一夜の睡眠」をとっています。そして「おはよう！」は大抵、しばしの睡眠の後に私達の口から出る言葉です。そうです、この言葉は眠って起きた後の言葉なのです。
ということは、こういうことです。イエス様が槍で最後のひと突きをされた後のことを私達は「イエス様が死んでしまった」と言います。しかし、このことはイエス様の側から言えば「イエス様が眠りにつかれた」ということになるのです。
思い返せば、このことをうかがい知ることができる出来事がかつてのイエス様の身の回りに幾つもありました。皆さんは会堂司の家の娘のことを聞いたことがありますでしょう。彼の娘が死にかかっており、彼はイエス様のもとに「こちらに来て助けてやってください」と願います。しかし、イエスがその家に着く前に一報がきます。
マルコ５章３５節 「娘はなくなりました。もはや先生を煩わすには及びません」。
しかし、イエス様はそれでも会堂司の家に向かいます。そこでは人々が大声で泣いたり、叫んだり、騒いだりしています。その彼らに向かイエス様は言います。
マルコ５章３９節 「なぜ泣き騒いでいるのか。子供は死んだのではない。眠っているだけである」。
そして、彼女に言います。「少女よ、さぁ、起きなさい」（４１節）。
その言葉を受けて彼女はすぐに起き上がり、人々は非常に驚いたというのです。
死んだラザロがよみがえった時のことを覚えていますか（ヨハネ１１章１１節―１９節）。イエス様と親しくしておりましたマルタ、マリア、そしてラザロの兄弟姉妹。そのラザロが死んでしまった。
その知らせを聞いた時にイエス様は「私達の友、ラザロが眠っている。彼を起こしに行く」（ヨハネ１１章１１節）と言いました。
以来、このイエス様の死の受け止め方を彼らの弟子達も引き継ぎました。そう、彼らも死に対してイエス様と同じ見方をしたのです。使徒ステパノは石打ちに会い、命を絶たれました。彼は石に打たれながら、大声で、こう叫びました。
「主よ、どうぞ、この罪を彼らに負わせないで下さい」。
この後に使徒行伝は彼の死を、こう表現しました。
こう言って、彼は眠りについた。（使徒行伝７章６０節）
パウロはテサロニケ第一の手紙（４章１３節―１５節）の中で何度も、この眠っている人々について語っています。言うまでもなく彼が言っている「眠っている人々」とは「既に死んだ者達」を意味しています。
パウロは１テサロニケの手紙で「兄弟たちよ。眠っている人々については、無知でいてもらいたくない。望みを持たない外の人々のように、あなたがたが悲しむことのないためである」（Ⅰテサロニケ４章１３節）と言いました。
彼らは神の目には眠っているのです。眠っている彼らは再び、起きる、そう、彼らはよみがえるのです。ですから、パウロはこのことについて、この後にこう書き記したのです。
Ⅰテサロニケ４章１８節 「だから、あなたがたは、これらの言葉をもって互いに慰め合いなさい」。
人の恐れは突き詰めていくと死に行き着きます。のサプリメントはいい、この栄養剤は疲れを癒してくれる。この入浴剤は体を温め、血行を促進する。この靴は足の疲れを減らし、このサングラスは紫外線をカットする。この食べ物は、鉄分を含んでいて貧血にいい。
私達の関心はいつも肉体に向けられます。５０を過ぎれば、私達の話は飲んでいる薬と健康にいい食べ物の話となります。言うまでもなく、私達はいつまでも健康でありたいからです。別の言い方をすれば、一日でも長く元気に日々を過ごしたいからです。さらに踏み込んで言えば、一日でも長く「死」というものから距離を置いていたいからです。
今日、心に刻んでおかえりください。その我々が恐れている死を、聖書は「眠る」と書き記していることを。主にある兄弟姉妹、イエス・キリストが死んでよみがえって最初に言われた言葉が「おはよう」であったということを今朝、心に刻みましょう。
私達もやがていつかは死にます。最後の息をして、私達の肉体機能は止まります。その彼、彼女の姿を見ていた者達は、その時、深い悲しみに包まれます。しかし、彼、彼女達にとって、その時は眠りに着いた瞬間で、次の瞬間、彼らは目が覚めるのです。その時に私達は万軍の主のご愛に完璧に包まれた場所にいるのです。
私の母が主のもとにかえり、しばらくの年月が経ちました。あの時、私は母の枕元に居ました。最近、ラッドさんの枕元で、あの時と同じ経験をしました。私は彼女達の唇を見つめ続けました。その唇だけが、彼女達が呼吸をする度に動く体の中で唯一の器官だったからです。
その時に私は神聖な畏怖の思いを持ちました。その場所はもはや息子が立ち入ることもできない神と、母との厳粛な時。その場所はもはや牧師も立ち入ることができない神と、としこさんとの厳粛な時。
私は母が召された時のことを「母の死を看取った」と言ってきました。しかし、その言い方を改めました。その時、私は「母が眠りにつくのを見守っていた」のです。
その経験がありますから、ラッドさんが眠りにつくのを私は傍で見守りました。彼女達は神の前に眠りについたのです。イエス・キリストはご自身の復活を通して、私達が死に対して抱く思いを、全く変えたのです。
眠ることが恐ろしいという人はいないでしょう。しかし、死を恐れる人はたくさんいます。私は今晩も家族に言います。「そろそろ眠るよ」。私の将来、いつかそのようにして眠り、私は主のもとに行きます。そして次に目を開ける時、私は万軍の主の栄光を見ることでしょう！
主にある皆さん、それが主イエス・キリストが十字架で死に、死んで三日目によみがえった、私達に約束されているイースターなのです。これが私達の人生の最後に主イエス・キリストが、その十字架と復活により、備えてくださっていることだということをどうかお忘れなく。
私達には「そんなことを言われてもね〜」と思われる聖書の御言葉があります。
テサロニケ第一の手紙５章１６節から１８節、 16いつも喜んでいなさい。 17絶えず祈りなさい。18すべての事について、感謝しなさい。
「素晴らしい言葉だけど、これは私には無理だろう」と私達は思います。確かに無理です。私達の努力によって、いつも喜ぶことなどできない。全ての事について感謝することなどできるはずがない。
しかし、この言葉に続く言葉を知る時に私達は、そこに光を見ます。
Ⅰテサロニケ５章１６節—１８節 16いつも喜んでいなさい。17絶えず祈りなさい。 18すべての事について、感謝しなさい。これが、キリスト・イエスにあって、神があなたがたに求めておられることである。
このことはキリスト・イエスにあって可能です。そう、それでは、そのキリストはどんなお方か。キリストは死んでよみがえり、私達に「おはよう」と挨拶することができる唯一なるお方です。私達の人生において最後に行き着くゴールはそこなのです。私達の今には確かに悩みがあり、苦しみがある。しかし、私たちが向かっている先には、このキリストの約束がある。
私達の最終的なゴールは神の栄光で満ちているということを知る時に初めて、私達は、この約束を成就してくださったキリスト・イエスにあって、いつも喜び、絶えず祈り、全てのことについて感謝することができるのです。私たちはこの栄光のゴールに向かっているのです。ですから、主にある皆さん、顔をまっすぐに天に向けて、毎日を生きていきましょう！
Ⅰテサロニケ４章１３節 「兄弟たちよ。眠っている人々については、無知でいてもらいたくない。望みを持たない外の人々のように、あなたがたが悲しむことのないためである」

The Easter That Begins With “Good Morning!”

Ohayougozaimasu. Good morning, Joe Eun A Chim, Buenos Dias. This is Easter morning. Now, I did not say “Happy Easter” to you but greeted you, “Good morning”. Today, let me tell you the reason why.
In our church, we are looking at each sentence in the Apostles’ Creed. It must be God’s leading, for today’s portion of the Apostle’s Creed is “dead, and was buried; He descended to the dead. On the third day He rose again;” which coincides perfectly with Easter.
On the morning of the third day after Jesus died and was buried, two women went to the tomb where he was placed. The Bible records that there was an earthquake, and the large stone blocking the tomb’s entrance was rolled away, and an angel came down from heaven and told the women that Jesus had risen. The astonished women ran out to tell the disciples about it, and to their surprise, they met Jesus Christ the One they were looking for. Matthew records what happened at that time.
Matthew 28:8-9 So, departing quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to tell His disciples the news. Just then Jesus met them and said, “Good morning!” They came up, took hold of His feet, and worshiped Him” (HCSB)
What were Jesus’ first words to the women at that time? The “that time” is on the third day after Jesus’ hands and feet were nailed to the cross, He died and was buried. Jesus Christ faced the women and said, “Good morning” . . .
Suppose I died, and I am buried in a cemetery. Three days after the burial, early in the morning, my wife stands in front of my grave for a while. And when she is about to leave the gravesite . . . At that time, if the resurrected me appeared before my wife, what would I say first? Raising my hands, I will surely say, “Mika, I have risen!” Or, unable to express words, I would approach Mika with a sense of triumph and embrace her. Our Lord Jesus Christ said.
“Good morning!”
To all of you listening to this now, how did your hearts respond to this greeting, “Good morning”? This is an unprecedented situation that no one in the human race has ever experienced.
At that time, will we have said the same “Good morning” that we exchange every morning? Dear people, do you say excitedly “Good morning” in the morning? Your family will probably say, “Stop being so excited in the morning!”
That’s right, “Good morning” is not a special greeting, but an everyday, habitual greeting. Most of the time, we get our “night’s sleep” before we say “Good morning”. And “Good morning!” are the words that usually come out of our mouths after we sleep awhile. Yes, these are the words after you go to sleep and wake up.
Thus, this is what this means. After Jesus was finally thrust with the spear, we say, “Jesus died”. However, on Jesus’ part, this meant “Jesus went to sleep”.
If we look back, there were several events around Jesus in the past that hint at this. You have probably heard of the synagogue leader’s daughter. His daughter was dying, and he asks Jesus to “Please come and help her”. But before Jesus arrives at the house, a message comes.
Mark 5:35 “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
However, Jesus still goes to the synagogue leader’s house. There, people are crying, wailing, and making a lot of noise. Jesus turns to them and says to them.
Mark 5:39 “Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.”
And says to the child, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!” (vs.41)
She immediately arose with those words, and the people were completely astounded.Do you remember when Lazarus rose from the dead (John 11:11-19)? Jesus was very close to Martha and Mary who were sisters, and their brother Lazarus. That Lazarus had died.
When Jesus heard the news of his death, He said, “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up.” (John 11:11)
Since then, Jesus’ disciples have accepted His understanding of death. Yes, they had the same view of death as Jesus. The apostle Stephen was stoned to death. As he was being stoned, he cried out in a loud voice,
“Lord, do not hold this sin against them.”
After this, the Book of Acts described his death in the following way.
When he had said this, he fell asleep. (Acts 7:60)
Paul speaks of those who sleep, many times in his first letter to the Thessalonians (4:13-15). Needless to say, the “those who sleep” he is referring to are “those who already died”.
In 1 Thessalonians, Paul says: “Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. (1 Thessalonians 4:13)
They are asleep in the eyes of God. They are asleep, but they will awake again, yes, they will be resurrected! Therefore, Paul wrote after this, the following.
1 Thessalonians 4:18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.
When you get right down to it, death is what people fear the most. This supplement is good, this nutritional supplement relieves fatigue. These bath salts warm the body and promote blood circulation. These shoes reduce foot fatigue and these sunglasses block UV rays. This food is good for anemia because of its iron content.
Our attention is always directed to the body. After 50 years old, our conversations will be about the medications we take and the healthy foods we eat. Needless to say, this is because we want to stay healthy forever. Put another way, it is because we want to live each day in good health for as long as possible. To take it a step further, it is because we want to keep our distance from “death” for as long as possible.
Please take the following to heart as you go home. The death we fear, the Bible describes as “sleep”. Brothers and sisters in the Lord, let us take to heart this morning, that the first words Jesus Christ said after He died and rose from the dead were “Good morning”.
We will eventually die someday. With our last breath, our bodily functions will stop. Those who watched him or her, at that moment, are deeply engulfed with sadness. However, for him or her, that moment is the moment they fall asleep, and the next moment they will awake. We are then in a place where we are perfectly surrounded by the love of the Lord of hosts.
It has been some time since my mother went to be with the Lord. I was at my mother’s bedside at that time.
I recently had that same experience at Mrs. Rudd’s bedside. I kept staring at their lips.This is because the lips were the only part of their bodies that moved with each breath.
At that moment I was in holy awe. It was a solemn time for my mother and God, a place where even a son was no longer allowed to enter. It was a solemn time for Toshiko-san and God, a place where even a pastor was no longer allowed to enter.
Regarding the time my mother passed away, I have said, “I saw my mother through until her death”. However, I am changing that wording. At that time, I was “watching over my mother as she fell asleep”.
Because of that experience, I stood by and watched as Mrs. Rudd drifted off to sleep.These women have fallen asleep in the presence of God. Through His resurrection, Jesus Christ has completely changed the way we feel about death.
I don’t think anyone is afraid to sleep. But there are many people who fear death.I will say to my family again this evening. “I am going to sleep.” One day in my future, I will sleep that way, and I will go to be with the Lord. And the next time I open my eyes, I will see the glory of the Lord of hosts!
People in the Lord, that is the Easter promised to us by the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose again on the third day after His death. Please remember that this is what the Lord Jesus Christ is preparing for us at the end of our lives through His crucifixion and resurrection.
There are words in the Bible that we may think, “It’s hard to do what it says”.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18: 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances;
We think, “Wonderful words, but I don’t think I can do this”. It is certainly impossible. We cannot always rejoice by our own efforts. There is no way we can be thankful in all circumstances.
However, when we know the words that follow these words, we see the light there.
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18) 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
This is possible in Christ Jesus. So then, what is Christ like? Christ is the only One who died and rose again and can greet us with a “Good morning”. That is the final goal we reach in our lives. There is certainly trouble and suffering for us now. But there is this promise of Christ where we are headed toward.
Only when we know that our ultimate goal is to be filled with the glory of God, can we rejoice always, pray continually, and give thanks in all circumstances, in Christ Jesus, who has fulfilled this promise. We are heading toward this glorious goal. So, people in the Lord, let us live each day with our faces looking straight up to heaven!
1 Thessalonians 4:13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.

１）上記のことが起きた状況はどんな状況でしたか。この時にイエス様が「おはよう」と言われたことを、あなたはどう思いますか（「おはよう」という挨拶はどんな時に言われますか。それは特別にエキサイトするような言葉でしょうか）。
３）「おはよう」は一連の眠りの後に交わされる言葉です。ということは、イエス・キリストの死は、イエスが眠ったということを意味します。マルコ５章３５節−４２節、ヨハネ１１章１１節−１９節、使徒行伝７章５４節―６０節、テサロニケ第一の手紙４章１３節−１８節に記されていることは何を物語っていますか。
４）「死ぬ」ということは神の前に「眠る」ということと等しいということは、私たちにどんな思いを抱かせますか。通常、「眠った」後に起こることは何ですか？
５） 『いつも喜んでいなさい。 絶えず祈りなさい。すべての事について、感謝しなさい』（テサロニケ第一の手紙５章１６節―１８節）。この言葉に生きることは簡単ですか。このことは、あなたの努力で可能となりますか。
６）上記の言葉には以下の言葉が続きます。『・・・すべての事について、感謝しなさい。これが、キリスト・イエスにあって、神があなたがたに求めておられることである』。今日、見てきたところから、あなたにとって「イエス・キリスト」はどんなお方ですか。「キリスト・イエスにあって」、あなたは上記の御言葉に生きる、どんな可能性を見出しますか。
７）「兄弟たちよ。眠っている人々については、無知でいてもらいたくない。望みを持たない外の人々のように、あなたがたが悲しむことのないためである」（Ⅰテサロニケ４章１３節）「だから、あなたがたは、これらの言葉をもって互いに慰め合いなさい」（同上、１８節）。今日、あなたは「死ぬ」ということについて聖書から何を知りましたか。そのことを知っている者達に求められていることは何でしょうか。
