イエスさまの最初のしるし
The First Sign of Jesus
ヨハネ2章1節~12節 (John 2:1-12)
1 三日目にガリラヤのカナに婚礼があって、イエスの母がそこにいた。2イエスも弟子たちも、その婚礼に招かれた。3 ぶどう酒がなくなったので、母はイエスに言った、「ぶどう酒がなくなってしまいました」。4 イエスは母に言われた、「婦人よ、あなたは、わたしと、なんの係わりがありますか。わたしの時は、まだきていません」。5 母は僕たちに言った、「このかたが、あなたがたに言いつけることは、なんでもして下さい」。6 そこには、ユダヤ人のきよめのならわしに従って、それぞれ四、五斗もはいる石の水がめが、六つ置いてあった。7 イエスは彼らに「かめに水をいっぱい入れなさい」と言われたので、彼らは口のところまでいっぱいに入れた。8 そこで彼らに言われた、「さあ、くんで、料理がしらのところに持って行きなさい」。すると、彼らは持って行った。9 料理がしらは、ぶどう酒になった水をなめてみたが、それがどこからきたのか知らなかったので、(水をくんだ僕たちは知っていた)花婿を呼んで:10 言った、「どんな人でも、初めによいぶどう酒を出して、酔いがまわったころにわるいのを出すものだ。それだのに、あなたはよいぶどう酒を今までとっておかれました」。11 イエスは、この最初のしるしをガリラヤのカナで行い、その栄光を現された。そして弟子たちはイエスを信じた。12 そののち、イエスは、その母、兄弟たち、弟子たちと一緒に、カペナウムに下って、幾日かそこにとどまられた。
1 On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there; 2 and both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding. 3 When the wine ran out, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does that have to do with us? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.” 6 Now there were six stone water pots set there for the Jewish custom of purification, containing twenty or thirty gallons each. 7 Jesus said to them, “Fill the water pots with water.” So they filled them up to the brim. 8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now and take it to the headwaiter.” So they took it to him.9 When the headwaiter tasted the water which had become wine, and
did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the headwaiter called the bridegroom, 10 and said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first, and when the people have drunk freely, then he serves the poorer wine; but you have kept the good wine until now.” 11 This beginning of His signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him. 12 After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother and His brothers and His disciples; and they stayed there a few days.
序:ヨハネは主イエスが明らかに神の子であることを示す「七つのしるし」を挙げてい
ます。Introduction: John lists “seven signs” that clearly demonstrate the Lord Jesus is
the Son of God.
今日は最初のしるしについてお話したいと思います。Today I would like to speak about
the first sign.
2それは主イエスが水を葡萄酒に変えられた出来事です。It is the event where the Lord
Jesus turned water into wine.
葡萄酒は古くなるほど、味が深くなるといわれています。It is said that wine deepens in
flavor as it ages.
11節に「主はその栄光を現わされた。そして弟子たちは信じた。」とあります。
Verse 11 states, “Jesus . . . manifested His glory, and His disciples believed in Him.”
結果はその栄光を見た弟子たちはイエスを信じる者と変えられたのです。The result
was that the disciples who saw this glory were transformed into believers in Jesus.
主イエスの現わされた栄光について三つの事を見て行きたいと思います。I would like to
examine three aspects of the glory revealed by the Lord Jesus.
1:三日前のできごと:1: The events of three days prior:
ヨハネ書2:1「三日目、ガリラヤ、のカナに婚礼があって、イエスの母がそこにい
た」。John 2:1 “On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother
of Jesus was there”.
イエスも弟子たちもその婚礼に招かれた。Jesus and His disciples had also been invited
to the wedding.
葡萄酒がなくなってしまったので母はイエスに言った、「葡萄酒がなくなってしまいま
した。」When the wine was gone, Jesus’ mother said to Him, “They have no wine.”
ガリラヤのカナではこの喜ばしき婚礼を祝うために大忙しです。In Cana of Galilee,
everyone was busy preparing for this joyful wedding celebration.
ここまで見ますとその日、台所を仕切っているのは明らかに母、マリヤです。From
what we see here, it is clear that Jesus’ mother, Mary, was in charge of the kitchen that
day.
このまま進めば、マリヤには解決し得ない課題を抱えつつ、自分では手に負えない問題
を解決しようと If things continued as they were, Mary would carry her unsolvable
burdens and then consult Jesus on how to solve the problem that was beyond her control.
今までのごとくイエスに相談して何とかしようとする、母と子との自然な流れのように
見えました。It seems that this was something she always did, like something done
naturally between a mother and child.
3ところが、三日前、ガリラヤの地におられた主イエスはご自分の弟子となるピリポに出会い However, three days prior, the Lord Jesus, who was in Galilee, met Philip, who was
to become His disciple,
「私に従って来なさい」言うとピリポは即、イエスに従いました。and said to him,
“Follow me,” and Philip immediately followed Jesus.
更にピリポが’ナタナエルに出会い、Furthermore, Philip met Nathanael and told him,
「私は今、モーセが律法の中に示し、預言者が記している人、ヨセフの子、ナザレのイエスに今出会った。」と伝えました。“I have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and
also the Prophets wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”
「ナザレから何の良いものがでようか。」ナタナエルは応えています。Nathanael
replied, “Can any good thing come out of Nazareth?”
そう言うナタナエルに過ぎませんでしたが彼の心は変えられて行きます。That is how
Nathanael was, but his heart was being transformed.
その時、ご自身の元に来るのを見られたイエスは「見よ、あの人こそ本当の’イスラエ
ル人である。その心には偽りが無い。」と言われました。When Jesus saw him coming
toward him, he said, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom there is no deceit!”
人は出会いで決まると言われますが、イエスに出会い、彼の言によって They say a
person is defined by their encounters, but meeting Jesus and hearing His words,
ナタナエルはそこでイエスに向かって「先生、あなたは神の子です。イスラエルの王で
す、」と告白します。Nathanael confessed to Jesus there, “Rabbi, You are the Son of
God; You are the King of Israel.”
主イエスは「あなたがイチジクの木の下にいるのを見たと言ったので信じるのか。これよりももっと大きな事を見るであろう」と言う驚くべき約束を与えられます。Jesus
gave an astonishing promise: “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do
you believe? You will see greater things than these.”
三日前に弟子となるために選ばれた人たちがイエスに出会い、ことばを掛けられ、主の言を受け入れ、Three days prior, those chosen to become disciples met Jesus, heard His
words, accepted the Lord’s words,弟子となった一人、ナタナエルが「先生、あなたは’神の子です。イスラエルの王です。」との告白に至っています。and one of them who became a disciple, Nathanael,confessed, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.”
4弟子たちはここでイエスを「神の子」であると認め、受け入れ、信じる者となった特別の日、こそ同じガリラヤで起きていた出来事でした。This was the very day in Galilee
when the disciples acknowledged Jesus as the “Son of God,” accepted Him, and became
believers.
2:大事な質問:2: The Crucial Question:
イエスがマリヤに向かって「婦人よ、あなたは私と何の関りがありますか。」と言った
のは特別な意味があり、とても大切な事を意味していました、When Jesus said to Mary,
“Woman, what does that have to do with us?”, it held special significance and signified
something profoundly important.
マリヤに取ってイエスとは私の子であると同時に聖霊によって授かった神の子でもあり
ました。For Mary, Jesus was both her son and the Son of God, conceived by the Holy
Spirit.
今こそ、公けの場にて「あなたは神の子です」と告白する12人の弟子を伴う時が三日
前から現実となっていたのです。Now, three days prior, the time had come for the twelve
disciples to publicly confess, “You are the Son of God.”
イエスがマリヤに「婦人よ、あなたは私と何の関わりがありますか。私の時はまだ来ていません。」と Jesus said to Mary, “Woman, what does that have to do with us? My hour
has not yet come.”
今こそイエスとの関係を確かめる時が来ていました。Now was the time to confirm the
relationship with Jesus.
もし、マリヤとイエスとの関係が正しくされないなら、If Mary and Jesus’ relationship
was not made right,
多分、今までもそうであったように、目の前にある課題、いかにして足りない葡萄酒を入手しようかと身に余る重荷を負い続けねばなりませんでした。she would likely have
continued bearing an overwhelming burden—just as she had before—of how to obtain
the missing wine.
しかしそこで、問われていたのはマリヤは尚も我が子としての関係を続けるべきか、
But then she realized the question at hand was whether she should continue seeing Him
as her son,
それとも「神の子」として認め、受け入れるべきかにかかっていると悟ったのです。or
whether she should recognize and accept Him as the Son of God.
5マリヤはイエスから「婦人よ、あなたは私と何の関係がありますか?」と神の家族となるための質問を受けていたのです。Mary had been asked by Jesus, “Woman, what does that have to do with us?”—a question about becoming part of God’s family.
さすがマリヤは信仰の人です。マリヤのイエスに対する関係転換がその時、僕たちに言
いつけた言に表れています。True to Mary being a person of faith, Mary’s shift in her
relationship with Jesus is revealed in the words she says to the servants:
「この方があなたがたに言いつける事は何でもして下さい。」と、心からイエスを「神
の子」として敬う言葉でした。“Whatever He says to you, do it.” These were words that
sincerely revered Jesus as the “Son of God.”
主イエスは彼らに「かめに水を一杯入れなさい。」と言われたので彼らは口の所まで一
杯に入れました、The Lord Jesus told them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” So they filled
them up to the brim.
「さあ、汲んで料理頭の所に持って行きなさい。」Then He said to them, “Draw some
out now and take it to the headwaiter.”
料理頭は葡萄酒になった水をなめてみたがそれがどこから来たか知らなかった。(水を
汲んだ僕たちは知っていた。)The headwaiter tasted the water which had become wine,
and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew).
と難題は喜びに変えられ結婚式は祝福の内に進められた事でしょう。Thus the difficult
problem was transformed into joy, and the wedding proceeded amid blessings.
私たちもここから学べる事はマリヤのように目の前にある課題を問題として見るか、神の栄光に預かる特権と見るかにかかっています。What we can learn from this is that, like Mary, it depends on whether we see the task before us as a problem or as a privilege to
share in God’s glory.
神の子、キリストを通して見ると今まで、問題としか見えなかった事が、神の栄光の表
われされる時へと変える事が出来るのです。Through Christ, the Son of God, what once
seemed only a problem can be transformed into a moment when God’s glory is revealed.
いかがでしょうか?私たちに今日、あなたと私の関わりを確かめたいと、主イエスが御
ことばを通して語りかけてはおられないでしょうか? What do you think? Is not the
Lord Jesus speaking to us today through His Word, asking us to examine our relationship
with Him?
今日、私たちを仕切っているのは誰でしょうか? Who is in charge of us today?
6マリヤや弟子たちのように神の子としてキリストとの正しい関係に預かることは出来ないでしょうか。Can we not, like Mary and the disciples, partake in the right relationship
with Christ as the Son of God?
私たちも、ボーン・アゲンクリスチャンとして神との正しい関係に預かり今週も歩んで
ゆこうではありませんか。As born-again Christians, let us also partake in the right
relationship with God and walk forward this week.
3:現わされた神の栄光:3: The Revealed Glory of God:
11節「主イエスはこの最初のしるしをガリラヤのカナで行い、その栄光を現わされ
た。」と言っています。Verse 11 states, “This beginning of His signs Jesus did in Cana
of Galilee, and manifested His glory”.
栄光については1:14 節「そして言は肉体となり、私たちの内に宿った。私たちはそ
の栄光を見た。Regarding glory, John 1:14 says, “And the Word became flesh, and dwelt
among us, and we saw His glory”.
それは父の一人子としての栄光であった。It is the glory of the only begotten Son of the
Father.
私たちも主イエスを信じる時に神の栄光を見ることを許されています。We too are
allowed to see the glory of God when we believe in the Lord Jesus.
水を葡萄酒に変えられたと言う栄光が現わされた時、「弟子たちはイエスを信じた」。
と記されています。When the glory of turning water into wine was revealed, it is recorded
that “His disciples believed in Him.”
弟子の一人ナタナエルばかりか、主イエスによって召され、私に従って来なさいとの招
きを受けて従って来た全ての人たちです。Not only one of the disciples Nathanael, but
all who were called by the Lord Jesus, and answered His call to follow Him.
弟子となった12人はこの日、栄光を見て確かに信じる人たちに変えられていきました。On this day, the twelve who became disciples were transformed into those who truly
believed after seeing the glory.
クリスチャンとして主と主の言に従う限り、私たちにも神の愛するひとり子としての栄
光を見せて下さることを期待しましょう。As Christians, as long as we obey the Lord
and His word, let us expect that He will also show us the glory of His beloved Son.
主イエスの言にアーメンとして従い続け、神の栄光を見、続ける幸いな日々は、まだま
だこれからも続きます。Blessed days of saying “Amen” to the Lord Jesus’ words and
obeying Him, and seeing God’s glory, will continue on more and more.
7最初のしるしは婚礼を祝う葡萄酒が振舞われましたが、The first sign was the wine
served at the wedding feast.
私たちを祝福するために三日目に蘇られた主イエスは三日前に十字架に架かってくださ
いました。But the Lord Jesus, who rose on the third day to bless us, was crucified three
days prior.
私たちの罪を赦すため血を流しつつ、「父よ、彼らをお許しください。」と祈られ、一
切の罪の代価を払うため死んで葬られ、While shedding His blood to forgive our sins, He
prayed, “Father, forgive them,” died to pay the price for all sins and was buried,
三日目によみがえり、信じる者に永遠の命を与えて下さいました。rose again on the
third day, and granted eternal life to those who believe.
神の子、イエス様と人、私たちの救いの関係を成就して下さいました。He fulfilled the
saving relationship between the Son of God, Jesus, and us, people.
聖餐式は神の子なるキリストとの関係を確認する大切なものなのです。The Lord’s
Supper (communion) is a vital means of confirming our relationship with Christ, the Son
of God.
私たちへの約束とは特権とはマリヤのように主イエスを神の子と信じ、主のことばを信じて従うかぎり、The promise and privilege given to us is this: If like Mary, we continue
to trust in the Lord Jesus as the Son of God and believe and obey His word,
神の栄光を拝する事が出来る者に変えられる事を信じ続ける者でありたいと思います。
we will continue to believe we can be transformed into those who can behold God’s glory.
